G.The "local" supermarket. Great range and often some surprisingly good one-off specials. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good opeming hours. Sadly the early morning coffee isn't as good as it could be, otherwise it would be my daily stop enroute to work.
D.I love it. They pack a lot of stuff in but it doesn’t feel claustrophobic. The flow is good, i hope more countdowns follow this model!

Countdown Metro offers products in all the categories. They have a great range of quick meals and also sell sandwiches, wraps and hot food
C.Has a wonderful selection, I often pop in on my way home to pick up a few things I need, so convenient. The team here is super friendly and attentive.
J.Handy store in the Wynyard quarter. Good range of products and friendly staff too.
S.Amazing place to head to before work. Great deli section and try the pizza bread heated in the oven, absolute must when going here. Boy named Manil there is an absolute star. Top quality service from him.
S.Great Countdown to get lunch from, wide selection of hot food available. I highly recommend their beer battered chicken wedges!

D.So glad that a Countdown branch opened near the office. Have visited twice so far, but I unfortunately find myself wanting to visit another, bigger branch (therefore spending a bit more) because there’s not much products on stock here.
For instance, can’t find fresh salmon, some chicken parts, low carb wrap... their chocolate promo is also slightly more expensive (eg Whittakers is currently $10 for 2, while only $9 for 2 in the Newmarket branch).
There’s much less people here though, so would be good to visit if you just need to buy a few things that you forgot to get from a full-blown supermarket 👍
