Staff on till very helpful with other customers as well as myself, she rang the bell 4 times for assistance with the customer ahead of me, wasn't until I was processed and an apology I thanked her did she have assistance from someone. Note to Countdown it is very hard to find GOOD STAFF, that why Countdown gets a 4 Star .

The store is clean and the staff is friendly. The hours are pretty great, 6AM til midnight, which is great to beat the traffic. There are plenty of space in the parking. It has a great cafe close to it for a treat after or before the groceries. I never tied the pharmacy but it looks like it has a lot of products.

Outstanding vegetables and fruits. Even better selection of cheeses including the spectacular and awards winning special brand Over the Moon. This is a good supermarket. From 1 January 2019 this store will need to address how people with mobile shopping trolleys can use the self service facility to utilize this way of shopping. Not everyone wants to carry a heavy bag. I pointed this out to 2 staff members and they noted they'll discuss their service improvement to ensure that this can occur. It'd be great if this was the first Countdown in Auckland to effect this improvement.

Clean and up market newly renovated additional floor space and car park doubling the capacity also has pharmacy and Robert Harris Coffee shop, Coffee on the go or coffee and shop. As with all countdown store has great variety keep an eye on pricing if you are a value shopper. But great all round experience.

I like this seems compact but has everything branch. The entrance area is the bakery section which is always welcoming. I did see litters in the area where trolleys are parked.

Great supermarket. Reasonably priced and had everything we wanted including a small paddock, instant noodles and gluten free pasta. They have an amazing selection of fruit and veg with minimal plastic as well as serve yourself pulses.

Great modern countdown store with some great features. This is a large upmarket countdown with features like a cafe inside the store, a pharmacy and large health food section. There are products that I haven't seen in other Countdown stores. All other amenities you'd expect from a super market along with a great frozen section along one wall. Parking is bountiful with entry from a side street making quick shopping visits during rush hour traffic much easier.

Countdown shop with a large and, for the most part, uncluttered selection. A wide selection of goods is available, as are competitive pricing. When it comes to the meat market and groceries, they often offer excellent discounts.

Countdown is a good store for grocery items. Bananas apples mandarins. Muffins cakes and fresh bread. Mince chops and sausage. Milo coffee sugar. Lollies chocolate batteries pens paper ice cream. You can purchase all sorts of things you might need. Even cell phones and top ups and gift cards too. Friendly and inviting good service. I really love the fresh flowers

Nice shopping environment. Very clean, wide variety of products on offer, lots of choices, spacious aisles. They even had someone at the door to make sure people scanned the COVID tracer. Also a plus for me that they have a bin for soft plastic recycling.

One day the countdown gods will realise their illogical store layout and group foods better. Oh and move the central pharmacy out. This is a grocery store. It sells food. It completes the necessity of feeding us. Just expect to spend more time than you'd like finding things.

One of the best countdowns in auckland with regards to variety of products sold. Big carpark outside and other shops (pharmacy, bakery, 2 dollar shop, barbershop...) next to it. Bus stop right outside.

We wanted to redeem something using our onecard points, system tells them we can claim 3 items but they can't seem to process the transaction. First counter lady wasn't really sure what's she's doing, so she handed us over to her manager I supposed. Issue wasn't really resolved and just told us to call the hotline. They were able to see our points in the system and our receipt but didn't really know how to solve the issue upfront.

It's a good supermarket with a wide range of stuff and a chemist inside. The staff are mostly really helpful, friendly and kind. Just one time a staff member wouldn't lift something heavy onto my trolley in the checkout. I had just had heart surgery and couldn't lift things. I did tell her that but she didn't seem to understand. I did manage to lift it and no harm done but I remember how it made me feel. Every other time though awesome staff.

One of the best supermarkets in Auckland. It's recently renovated and ultra modern with a comprehensive organic section. The vegetables are fresh. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like shopping here. This place is definitely 5 stars.

This countdown is great during times of the day that there aren't too many people, but when it's busy it's like playing bumper cars with loads of clowns. Selection is good. Their roast chicken is always a nice quick bite with some fresh vegetables and pita. All around a decent store except for when it's really busy (Sunday afternoons are the worst).

This is our regular grocer and there's nothing special like valet parking but it is very reliable. The range of products is always surprisingly good and the prices seem fair enough (for convenience). They've been great the few times we've had complaints about products so I see no reason to not shop here if it's convenient to your location.

Best to avoid going in after 9 pm as the staff are blocking the aisles by throwing stock all over the floors causing tripping hazards and blocking access to the shelves. Staff are generally polite but some are ignorant and will push their way in front of you quite happily. Loads of parking and has a cafe which is a bit expensive and the food is not worth what you will pay for it.

Pretty good supermarket. Its massive since the upgrade. Don't love the new layout, especially having the 'womens products' right in the center open to everyone viewing what you're looking for. Pharmacy prescriptions are very cheap there which is cool at only $3.

Good range of goods, good service but lousy layout in expanded store. No logic ( expect they think that in your Hunt for things you need you might get into impulse buying. Very frustrating for those if us who go shopping knowing exactly what it is we want. My recent experience with countdown was beyond fantastic;I picked up a item based on a discount and if turns up, It wasn't a discounted one and was marked with the wrong label;I walked to the counter to pay the extra charges and what;Lo and Behold, I was offered that stuff free coz it was wrongly labelled and confused me into buying; Isn't that a delightful experience and nothing less;This is class of such supermarket stores where they keep the customer at the centre of every thing they do and keep them delighted every time a customer step in their door

This is my local and favourite of the Countdowns in Auckland. It is always clean, the service is great, it always has the food I go in for and have a lot of specials. The carpark is my main bugbear though because as soon as it rains there is a section that floods with no drainage. I would also like to see the ramp on the right hand side door taken out (its left of the zebra pedestrian crossing facing Valley Road) or put the pedestrian crossing a few metres to the left there as I feel that people just naturally walk out the store then down the ramp and onto the road without stopping and looking both ways, but its not the right place to cross safely. Apart from that its a great place to shop.

Huge supermarket, newly extended and renovated. A nice cafe at the entrance. Very big Gluten free section. This place seems to stock everything, plus fresh sushi.

COUNTDOWN. Where do I begin ?. Well I have been to this supermarket for years. The BIG make over was a shock to the system for most people. We were not expecting the big change. Yes many people were moaning. But hey we are creatures of habit. But what I can say. The service never changes. The staff are always not just friendly' But always go out of their way to help you. My grandson came shopping with me one day. He lives in East Auckland. He said Grandma I can't get over this supermarket everyone is so nice. ( There you go ) . One thing stand's out of out. Just another Countdown. We don't go there very often but we never had any problems with parking or finding what we need. On my last time there (June 2016) I noticed they were doing some improvements on the building. Let's wait and see if it will be a good update for to shop.

This countdown has been here for years, but has had somewhat of an expansion in recent times and includes a chemist. Don't seem to have an issue finding a park also.

The cafe on site is very handy to get a fancy sandwich on the go. It is now a big shop but the new layout provides for a quick run in to get milk or bacon. The in store pharmacy is also a plus.

Countdown has enlarged it's surroundings and offering more in food products. A new chemist and cafe added last year or so and a refurbishment to its appearance and food Isles. It's a busy countdown but at times staff are slow or no reaction to customer service it's a job that pays bills and then you get the elite staff that do care about customers which is nice to see and have. Urgency with some of the managers in charge on the day would be great they seem to be always talking right when the cashier is trying to get there attention and you are kept waiting and no offer of apology but a stern " request to the cashier what do you need" I'D, change order, refund, observing some managers they have lack of customer service or greetings. I bought a coffee and bread and the person managing the self service just stood there watching no smiles or hello but walking to see if you are tagging everything through. Recycling plastics seems to be a fad everyone communicating about plastic bags now it's only if you mention it. Parking plentiful.

None of Countdown in the central city are this complete; even the flagship shop in Quay St have a separate pharmacy section. This place quickly become my favourite.

This is my local supermarket. It is pretty big and offers plenty of different products, has a decent health food section and also has a pharmacy and cafe. We are out of towners staying at Ronald McDonald House while youngest child is in Starship Children's Hospital. One of our other children has coeliac disease and found this store to have a very good gluten free selection. Also on the whole the shelves were well stocked, good fresh vege and fruit selection and bonus of a Lotto outlet where I am hoping to have bought this Saturday's winning ticket 😉

24 hour supermarket. That says a lot for New Zealand. It's rarer than 4-leafed clover in this country. Some staff members are super friendly and go out of their way to help you (the white haired manager on duty, the Polynesian staff at the counter). This Countdown has a slightly more adventurous assortment than your run of the mill Countdown. Expect to pay a little more though. Parking can be annoying. There's plenty of spots but also plenty of cars and the carpark is a little tight for the volume of mummy 4WDs this store attracts.

Staff are way too strict about ID'ing customers. Especially customers like me who are 33 years old...with a beard. We were denied wine because we didn't have our passports. We came back with the proper ID and the lady at the till didn't even bother to ID us again!!!! Ridiculous. No consistency. On another occassion I picked up a bottle of wine with proper ID. The lady had the audacity to ask me if I had been drinking earlier in the evening. Offensive. Great countdown but most of the staff have no clue about customer service with foreigners.
