This store is normally pretty good, tidy the staff are helpful and nice but they're not stocked well currently. Has undercover parking downstairs good for got days or rain. Not specific to this store but the prices are expensive!! Plenty of vege shops nearby on dominion Road for better value vege. And butchers such as onehunga discount meats who do delivery.

The shopping experience was really good. All the sections are clearly marked and goods are nicely arranged which makes a shopping a easy experience. Very big space so has lot of options to choose from. Plenty of parking which is also a good thing for a supermarket which is always busy.

Nice clean store with good layout. Sometimes there is a huge shortage of common products such as 1L milk, lemons etc. Also bought this $6 punnet of strawberries which mostly have gone bad.

This countdown is huge. Has an instore chemist where the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely fresh fruit and produce like all sites. Very tidy and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Located on Stoddard road Mt Roskill. Lots of outside and undercover parking, very central location. Rather relaxed atmosphere as busy as they have been with lockdown. I liked it, check it out Peeps you might feel different. Update 3/03/22 They're back.... Panic buyers have returned to the stores. We walked in to half empty or maybe it was half full shelves. What has changed is, they aren't bulk buying toilet paper this time around lol 😆 more so it's meat, bread, canned and packeted products. Well done NZ, times they are a changing. Heaps for everyone Peeps. Be nice, take care and stay safe out there. Happy shopping 🛍️😉💕

You know what, I really love the team here at the Mt Roskill Countdown. I've been living here a while now and they're always friendly, welcoming and helpful. These days I can always see sometime to exchange pleasantries with, whether it's just a smile and a 'good afternoon' or a small conversation at the till. I can't speak to the products - it's a supermarket, there's not really a lot of difference between them, really. But the staff are great and I wish then all the best. Thanks!

Countdown Mt roskill I pulled up in the car park, it was sunny and a little windy maybe about 18 degrees Celsius. As I pulled up to the carpark I was really enjoying the colour scheme and the wide car parks. As I danced out of my car and up to the gates of heaven, I noticed the bins were not only iconic but also full to the brim with hopes and dreams of fellow countdown legends. I walk into the fruit and vege section which was sub par but tolerable. We continued to walk through the aisles which was an experience and a half but not a full experience. I purchased a cauliflower for $2.60, the organic section was also very good and progressive. As I prance with poise and grace through the aisles I think back to my childhood and smile. I slipped and slode through the aisles and was greeted with many smiles from fellow legends. I picked up some reasonably priced items and participated in some Tom foolery with my shopping companions. I went to the freezers and saw that the prices were too high for dumplings so I swerved that. I headed to the self service checkout which I was quite dissatisfied about as my checkout kept saying “unexpected item in bagging area” and no one was supporting me. We walk out arm in arm and smiling from ear to ear thinking back fondly on our experience. And then I saw him in the carpark, flying down from heaven with his beard blowing in the breeze. Jesus Christ my savior.

I dont usually shop here, but as I was in the area I thort I would give it a go. Apart from the whiskers sashets in boxes being out of stock, I found the place be clean and the check out woman that served me was extremely helpful and friendly. I found a few good bargins of items that I was after which pleased me no end. I would recommend shopping there.

This is a relatively new supermarket and on a Wednesday around 1pm ..quiet ...plenty of parking and a range of produce you would expect to find. Deli is good, wine selection pretty good with ok prices..wide ailses and not a lot of other shoppers. Perfect

Lovely big supermarket, with a large selection and plenty of options. It's just off the motorway. So convenient. I don't even live in the area and this is my go to supermarket, with friendly and helpful staff. It's also quiet during rush hour, which adds to the enjoyment of shopping here.

I posted this on Wesley intermediate school this morning. I think its so sad that your store staff have to put up with this. I was absolutely disgusted by this kids in uniform stealing and no one who put a stop to this behaviour. That being said one has to wonder what else this kids get up to after school.

This Countdown is fairly new still, a few years old..... Very clean. Staff are amazing, always friendly and polite. Has a pharmacy too. Heaps of parks and also underground parking - very convenient if it's raining.

Great Countdown with excellent parking and traffic lights access and exit, too easy! Plenty of accessible and family space's. In store pharmacy has cheap prescriptions and plenty of items beyond a normal supermarket. Friendly and helpful staff in my experience

One of the larger and more well stocked Countdowns in the Auckland. Has an underground car park. I like to support Pak n Save where possible to support an NZ owned business however in many areas Pak N Save let the team down with item availability and placement within the supermarket. Countdown seems to do the logical thing, more of the time and have a slightly better online experience, not to mention stocks most of the things you could want in 2020.

Great unless u choose to click and collect especially fruit, they gave me only bruised and some rotton apples. Missed out two items that I saw on the shelf before picking up my main order 😂 and decided to swap one item for one similar in size but the complete opposite in taste 😂. It was all stated in the invoice sent separately to me after collection but your not going to open every single paper bag to check every single item is there while your in store. Defeats the whole purpose of click and collect. Good idea, but a long way to come.

Parking is always easy downstairs with a quick ride up the escalator to the entrance. Supermarket has a good lay out and selection of produce and products. The staff are always friendly.

Very busy and very friendly place, always full of people and wonderful variety of foods and grocery. Open from 7 am to 10 pm , near by airport motor way and central location. There is pharmacy inside so u can get medication prescription free while u shopping. Very huge supermarket

Lady at lotto was lovely and really helpful. Check out not so good, had to wait over 5 minutes for supervisor to come because we were buying tobacco. By which time quite a queue had form. Disappointing. The express counter was also not open and we only had 6 items, those behind me were the same.

The check out operator Hansa seemed racist against Muslim no greetings nothing to say rude as cause she was chatting with customer before us like no tomorrow put her stuff in trolley we had bad experience with this staff in Mr Roskill branch never before happen to us we are local here.but overall the floor staff are all nice as usual.

The workers on the checkouts are always focussed and polite, and they also understand the need to be careful in packing bags: not just being careful with delicate things, but also ensuring they don't pack incompatible goods together. This branch also has a broad range of stock, and an excellent international foods section.

can't really say much about this particular branch of my unfavourite chain of money funnelers from across the ditch other than it satisfied my requirements in the having stuff that I wanted type of thing except for a few things I wanted which was sort of annoying if I could really be bothered being annoyed about such trivial things when life is much bigger than these trivial details. it's pretty hard to see the forest for the trees when you are standing in the longlife milk aisle of a supermarket, I would suggest looking further afield, maybe take some time off and wander the earth for a bit, who knows what's in store. (unless it's the store you are wandering around inside looking for what is in store)

This is my absolute favorite Countdown in NZ. Well laid out, always stocked....even on a Sunday, very very friendly staff and normally easy to get through the checkouts. Highly recommend if you live in the mt roskil, mt albert, sandringham etc area.

Clean and tidy, with both a bus stop and bike parking right by the front door, direct access from the southwestern cycleway (which will soon be linked to the northwest too) *and* covered car parking underneath makes it convenient to get to no matter how you're travelling. Bus tip: In the evening peak if you are bussing home, complete your shopping here and get on the next bus within 30 minutes using an AT Hop card, and it's the same as the cost of a single bus trip because it's treated as a free transfer.

Probably one of the best countdowns in the Auckland Region. It's big, filled with a variety of products. Has a toilet facility and also has an ATM as well. One thing that does let it down a little is the lack of staff on all counters by the afternoon. As custimers grow the lines on the tills are larger. But it flows well with the new self service station.
