I always enjoy shopping here everything i need n want is in the same area..the vege shop and meat shop with a variety if others just along the walk way..bakery, $2 shop..secondhand shop. Go every week..get a bargin 👍👌

Was anxious going in but the staff were controlling the amount of people going in. My anxious shop was made easier due to the staff & amount of people in the shop. Staff were very helpful & pleasant to talk to. Usually I shop online due to my spine injury & the checkout person I was served by was awsum. Sorry didn't get his name but I appreciate the banter & service received - terminal #N9091004. Hope u did have a wonderful rest of the day at work & going to see your family that afternoon 💜💜

A reasonable sized super market in Onehunga. Reasonable parking space available. Several other shops close by including a butchery. Within 5 minutes walking distance of Onehunga main street.

Little countdown. Suffers as far as selection goes as a result. I think foodstuffs supermarkets have better quality produce. That being said, staff are friendly and they do have everything you'd normally need from a supermarket.

Very busy as it's Good Friday tomorrow. Staff are mostly very pleasant and helpful. There was a good supply of fresh fruit and vegetables in today. It always is best that you look at the 'best before date' on prepackaged items as you can easily be fooled and caught out. Onehunga countdown is a smallish supermarket and although they do their best with supplying different products I miss the larger store at Mt Roskill. It's what you get used to I guess that spoils us regarding choice of products. Disabled parking very close to the store and entrance to the store is easily accessible. Plenty of ordinary parking available.

I want to thank all the staff at Countdown Onehunga who look after us. This store doesn't always have what I need but it's local and they have all the basics. It has been nice shopping with fewer customers during level 4.

Could take some tips from New World Papakura. Need scan codes as you are ushered in. Very far and few until you get to the checkouts. Great staff though.

I think the Onehunga (and surrounding communities) need a bigger Countdown but the staff are nice and we can get most of what we need there. Pity about the homeless people outside needing donations, we need to do more to help them.

My least favorite Countdown in Auckland simply just due to size and lack of range with products. Feels claustrophobic when busy and frequently has empty shelves. Have seen some great specials though.

This supermarket has almost all of the brands that you want and need. The only real gripe I have is the building is quite small for the area it provides for. Once it gets packed, the isles are full of people waiting in line to pay for their shopping.

Not the biggest countdown, and the range is a little smaller than some of the other stores, and parking is a bit worse, but I've always managed to get a space quick enough, and get 90-95% of what I want.

Good supermarket near other handy stores: butcher fish shop and fresh produce. Friendly service and lots of parking. Car parking is very handy to the library and doctor's surgery across the road, and only a minutes walk from the main street in Onehunga. Some may find there is a lack of choice, it's not a big shop but as the basics and more.

Probably one of smallest countdowns, so of course limited products on offer compared to bigger stores. Staff are great and friendly. It is always busy esp between 5-7pm. Stores is tidy, products on display are well advertised if it is a weekly special. I enjoy shopping here, or picking up something on my way home from work. Meats dept always has great selection and well set out , love picking up the odd reduced meat pack, as meat prices are not getting any cheaper.

Staff are always friendly & knowledgable plus, have maintained exceptionally high levels of cleanliness throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Always feel safe here, trolley sanitising station outside, and plenty of hand sanitizers all through store. Wonderful manager Alex, and his staff equally awesome!

It was easy to shop. But i was charged for 2 packs of cotton buds but i only had 1pack. The difference is $2.50. I dont want to go back now but would still like a refund. What can you do? [email protected]

As a regular customer of this Onehunga branch, I give 5 stars personally to the lovely Niuean Female Manager that was on night shift 20.08.20 who, showed customer service with patience & promptness...my online order CD15832020 alert came through my phone 7pm that it was ready for collection, then the next step was to confirm I was there which I did within 2-3mins as, I only live around the corner - The Manager was at the customer service, phoned through to staff at back to bring my order, which took some time as, she had to phone the team again after few mins because it seemed like they couldn't locate my order. I heard her repeat my name on the phone with staff until, she asked me again "is it under another name"? I said NO, so, I just waited patiently until, a staff member wheeled the trolley down saying something was missing, then, another staff member (male) intervened holding the packing slip checking the trolley, and, an anxious discussion between them three took place??? Until, the Female Manager asked her a question, before, the Manager walked to the back AND SURPRISINGLY came back to the front holding two bags of my order that, I'm presuming was what the staff member was saying she couldn't find?? The staff member forgot their were customers in the store around 7:30pm listening to her saying all sorts of things hence The Female Manager (Niuean lady) was calm, carried on ensuring the full order was inside the trolley and just quietly said to her - "We will talk about this after"... Which I applaud as sensible customer service where, she didn't embarrass her staff member & kept her cool for the customers in the store & Me who was waiting for my order... Awesome Display of Customer Service for this particular Manager! FYI online order was $257.13 which is probably why the Manager wanted to ensure there was no issue with products supplied.

Is always busy - would recommend abother countdown on the basis if you need nappies as there is always none on the shelves for the bigger sized babies and due to busyness grocery people are already assisting 101 other people with their grocery requests. Other then that can get some good bargains

This is a small and basic Countdown. The have less items than the larger Countdown stores, but they are always pretty good and you don't usually have to wait long in line. A great place to pop into if you need a few things.

Pretty good supermarket, and very convenient for Onehunga residents. Generally can find some deals and decent produce here. While smaller and beginning to show its age, you can still find much of the same range of products you would at any other Countdown.

Well I gotta tell ya. At 7 pm on the 30th of April. The 10/10 stunner of a deli worker behind the deli counter served me the best serving of chicken pasta salad I have ever consumed. Am definitely going to revisit to have a yarn with her in the future. Hopefully in the back room :)

Love this countdown! Can do shopping very quickly as the products are easy to find, aisles are in such a way that you would not need to go back unless you forgot something! Lovely Staff also!

Great staff particularly the evening shift. Friendly, helpful and acknowledge my existence. More like my corner "dairy" when I pop in after work 3 times a week. Their service keeps me going there compared to PaknSave Royal Oak that I drive past on my way to Countdown Onehunga.

Ample parking, but at busy times it can be quite frustrating navigating the lot. I shop exclusively at Countdown and the Onehunga location is my least favorite. The selection is not as diverse as other Countdown locations and a lot of the products carried at other Countdowns you can not find here.

I like the smaller scale of the onehunga countdown. Maybe slightly less range on some items but after work I don't always feel like doing the long yards up at Mt roskill or Stoddard Rd branches. Good place for lazy shoppers like myself.

Good grocery store, gets a little bit packed between 3-7pm weekdays which is to be expected. Smaller compared to most of the more recent modern day supermarkets of the same franchise but still has everything you need. I prefer PaknSave up in RoyalOak which is a 5min drive but Countdown is my local. Unless its shopping for the week, I usually come here for a quick shopping trip.

Supermarket it dirty/grubby and EVERY TIME I go you can guarantee I pick something up of the shelf that is out of date. They also have very limited stock, assuming this is due to the lack of space. On a brighter note staff always friendly

this branch is easily located at the heart of Onehunga with ample space of car parks but the product choices are not that complete as compared to other branches. Some common grocery brands are stored in locked storage only staffs have access to.
