Didn’t get abused, asked for a smoke, money - nothing! Successful visit really! Apart from there being stuff all on the shelves. I’d add a photo if I took one, but I think everyone knows what a run-down, should-be-closed Countdown looks like.

Looks a bit scruffy but don't be deceived. It has all that you would expect in range and quality that you would expect from a Countdown store. Outstanding bakery. Bargains in deli and butchery when I last visited. Plenty of parking. Well served by public tansport as it is right on main and local bus routes thru Papakura. AND it is also right next to Papakura train station. A big plus for those without a car!

Your usual store but some special items are regularly out of stick but understandable considering covid issues.

Went there in the early morning. Very nice staff. Friendly from the beginning. Nice place.

Great store with excellent variety. Clean isles and tidy shelves. Lovely staff at the deli and checkouts.

Big store ,wasn't many people so was good. Clean ,stocked shelf,prices getting more EXPENSIVE. They have weekly specials that are reasonable too.

Due to supply chain issues, not all items were available. However in saying that, the wait time at the checkout seemed adequate and the staff were very friendly.

20Nov20 1225 I am on record with my reviews about Countdown New Zealand supermarkets bring a favorite place of mine. Yes the Papakura Countdown is no exception. It has a huge fresh vegetables and fruits display area as soon as you walk in to the store. Then there are the fresh bakery products which are usually irresistible. Right next to the fresh vegetables and fruits are a large standing display of nuts and chocolate and confectionery for bulk purchase. As if that is not enough the rest of the supermarket is supremely well organized for house hold staples and bargains. Plenty of free parking. You'll love this store too!

Count down papakura is the best supermarket in papakura are! You can find any item u want! The employees are humble and friendly!

Staff are friendly and efficient. A 20 minute wait to get in but Gold card members can get in earlier. Produce was fresh. Some shelves were low due to stock accessibility from suppliers.

The best place to buy weekly grocery shopping or any holiday or party shopping gets almost all the items. Well stacked and placed and good space to move around. Staff is great and always happy to assist you the best part. Deals and promotions are great get you sticked and flavours your interest to go in the flow. Really enjoy the time every week on my shopping in the Countdown.🌟 👍😀🆒🎶🌹🌷🌼☘️

Good vibe. Great staff. Was running low on meat and toilet paper tbh but it didn't matter. Just the fact I was able to stand in a queue for like 30 minutes waiting to check out was amazing. You know, things that used to infuriate me before lockdown have become a real privilege aye

While the goods & services are ok considering the situation we're facing. I can't help but be disappointed this evening, as an elderly woman walked to the front of the line, only to be re -directed by a young middle aged man to the back of the queue. Really? Where's the courtesy of being kind? Especially with the elderly? I'm appalled that the security on duty isn't doing his part of his job in ensuring those most vulnerable, should be first priority. I'm speaking of the security guy on duty this evening. Dayshift security do a wonderful job! So, please management, can you speak with your security to make sure to look out for the vulnerable & not stay glued to his phone!

Had a woman asking for money outside and l felt intimidated. Not the first time. Not the staffs fault yet it's becoming an occurrence everything l go there. I have compassion for others yet the way l was approached wasn't in a kind way.

Few things missing due to supply chain issues but otherwise a good tidy and diverse shop

First time 'click n collect' newbies took a while to do and subbed things that we said don't want subbing and an iceberg lettuce not picked. However a great idea due to L3 in AK that we didn't have to go into the store and be compromised. We'll do it again.

It's pretty good here compared to other Countdowns in the area. The staff are friendly and efficient. They're also well stocked. And the shoppers aren't annoying haha

Average store. Do not have the best selection compared to Manukau or Pukekohe. However is always clean & tidy. Staff are a bit sour, don't look like they want to be there! Great now that the car park has been extended.

I had $200 gift cards given to me so I was spending then I enjoyed it I dont usually shop there, to far from home. Nice shop plenty of room. Good service.

This is the place where I am doing my daily grocery shopping. Always friendly and well organized. Highly recommend. Best Countdown staff ever.

Has mostly everything you see online. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Enough parking even during busy periods. Westpac ATM inside by the entry. Free fruit in baskets for kiddies (and hungry adults lol) by the fruit & veg section. Rating is only due to lack of sufficient manned checkout lines, when it gets really busy.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Enjoy doing my weekly shopping here.

Was a very quick visit as I dont normally shop here ... seems to be alot nicer than it was a few years ago. Tidy, friendly staff and good product selection.

Yet another wonderful countdown. The staff ste lovely. The trolley man always had a trolley waiting when he saw my car pull in. I'm disabled and find it hard to walk. He was there to help put my shopping in my car for me. Maybe he wasn't supposed to. I sure as anything appreciated it. I moved now and miss that help the most. Thank you Lee for a your help

With all that is going on around Auckland and Countdown Takaninin having to shut down due to Covid Cluster, Countdown Papakura is dealing with the extra mass as efficiently as they can. Props to the staff.

I go here, good supermarket, good staff. Becareful in the carpark if you go here, don't hesitate to make contact with security. I feel safety is still an issue with this place even though Countdown has been really proactive with security and local businesses have hired their own patrol person and car. Sorry I wouldn't let my wife or kids go there on there own. But local confidence is rebuilding.

The layout has improved my shopping experience here, bright aisles, though I often cannot find what I am looking for since I don't shop here often. The manager Richard is a cool guy, friendly, down to earth, community man

Surprised, surprise - I got an unsliced four-seed loaf today. The store is impressively well laid out, and even I can find my way around it. 'Jimbo's' cat food in 900gm packs too! Atmosphere is unhurried, supportive and welcoming.

Good service and friendly staff, have some great deals and I just hope that they don't follow in other supermarket foot steps

Never enough checkouts operating, but that is a given at nearly every store in Auckland. Decent range, not the most convenient of layouts but the lack of change does allow customers to navigate the store for what they want with ease.

My shopping experience here was great had no problem finding the things I wanted .

I enjoyed shopping there today as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the security guard as well he had a big smile on his face. Walking through I was amazed at the Christmas stock that was out cos they are at a reasonable price. All aisles were in an immaculate order . I like how they have the drink aisle . The big bottles of fizzys are now placed on some kind of shelving were they won't fall and it makes it look really good. The checkout manager she was also very lovely. Got what I needed and as I was emptying my trolley the trolley man was very kind to collect it from me. Saved me the hassle of walking back into the foyer. Thankyou CountDown 👍

Had a cashier called Alex.. Was amazing. Funny and very friendly. Would highly recommend giving him a raise. Good to have a smiling face. When you go to pak n save your greeted with a Maori lady (I'm Maori) who gets angry if your kids are In the trolley.. Was great to have a fresh breath

Awesome place. Staff are excellent and friendly. Only thing wrong is having people hang around outside asking for money (I get times are tough) and people trying to sell you stuff in the parking lot. Other than that its a great place to shop.

It's local. It has what I need for a long shop or a quick visit. Staff are usually bright n happy. Just a nice place to get your groceries

Nice to see the eco toothbrushes now in stock. Security is sometimes a concern for me, and it is good that there is a guard on duty but I wish I felt safer in the carpark at times.

It use to be good, I shop there all the time and for many years, but just lately I have noticed that they are slipping quite madly. It's ashame because that is the closest food market for me.

Been going to Countdown Papakura since 2017. Seen a few new faces. But, mostly the same great people are still there. Nice produce, display, arrangements. Great people to deal with. Everyone has a smile. Completes your day. Highly recommend. Cheers to the team!

Just a generic Countdown. Fair selection of stuff. Clean. Plenty of check out options so the queues not too long. Some do their shopping here in their pajamas so its pretty low key... you may wish to not shop in your jim jams but its ok sort of if u do.

I found the staff very helpful as I needed help to find 3 items 2 were out of stock and thay apologized and when I got to check out there was a spill on the conveyer belt with was cleaned up promptly and effectively well done and thanks

There are quite a few disabled parking bays out front and the store has good parking with 3 entrances. Prices are good and store staff friendly.

I always have a good experience shopping for groceries. Well done countdown from a sensire citizen of New Zealand.

Quite often runs out of the advertised specials. And on more than one occasion I have had poor quality mince (excess fat) and chicken that once opened Smelt bad. Customer service staff opened several packages and they were all the same yet they continued to sell the chicken. I now try to stear clear of their meat.

Another large supermarket pretty much as you would expect from the big chains. Good range of items. Has lotto sales counter out the front.

Nice place to go shopping but need to stock the shelves more offten always having to go elsewhere. So up your game and have more people stocking shelves!

Becarefull when you buy fresh and frozen stuff, some people took it and change their mind then leave the product anywhere and make it lost its freshness or become thawed

At times it is very difficult to get through the doors without having people ask for change or appear to project intimidation towards customers entering and departing the store.

Usually shop at the smaller countdown in town but the bonus here is that the shop is bigger so more variety on certain things
