Staff are great, always helpful and wonderful to deal with. Supermarket looks great now that it's been remodelled. Just be cafeful when you've got a full trolley and heading out towards the carpark, the ramp is a bit steep so you need to be mindful of cars, trolley and the ramp!

A countdown supermarket in 4 Square clothing. Concise little supermarket tucked into the Point Chevalier shopping mall. It's small size reflects the smaller range of goods on offer but they do manage to pack a lot into the small size they have. Prices are more competitive than similar sized mini-marts so that is nice. Good range of beer and wine on offer for those that need it. Fresh fruit and breads are of a good quality too. Theres a large parking behind the building as well, making it convenient for quick stops.

Queue wasn't too bad & movement was relatively fast. Wasn't till I got inside that I realized that maybe that was due to quite a few shelves being empty? 🤔 In comparison to their sister stores, this branch is "petite" & it wouldn't have the storage space or staff to ensure the shelves are constantly full. Hats off to them as a team though, just for keeping the store tidy with positive attitudes whilst trying to operate under level 4 guidelines & restrictions. N.B- Lesson learned though, I either go earlier or to a larger store after work.😉

Nice little Countdown. This is a small countdown so choice is limited but good place to pick up your regular grocery stuffs. It also sell alcohol so if there are Countdown alcohol specials that is the place to pick it up from as the next big count down (heading west) is New Lynn and there because it is controlled via local trust Countdown does not sell alcohol.

I like it here. Not a big range of products, but a really nice store and the staff are friendly.

The shopping experience is greatly improved since the revamp. It a quick, well stocked store, tho it gets very busy after work. Be prepared to wait a bit at busy times.

Friendly staff and nice and clean, produce always look fresh

It’s a small supermarket, which means its selection has always been restricted but it’s very convenient for locals not having to drive further. Unfortunately a recent refurbishment, while very nice, doubled the size of the wine section but has meant a further restriction of ranged items - no oyster sauce! Restricted tea options, and more - it’s becoming more of a dairy with wine than a supermarket. Hopefully this will change back in time as more people complain.

This a lovely place to shop. Shortcomings are it's too small. Staff are so friendly But that's where the pluses end. Update. Its larger now with a decent wine and beer section

It's okay for a small store. Even though I live in Henderson I go there to buy my alcohol to avoid giving the West Auckland Licensing Trusts my business. Countdown needs to help get wine and beer in its West Auckland supermarkets.

Very helpful towards a recently disabled person in an electric wheelchair.

Lovely little store next to the Post Shop with Dominos around the corner. Plenty of other little shops and the library is on the corner in front of Countdown. SK Autos is next to countdown with a great bunch of mechanics. On the other side of Countdown over the road, is KFC and other eateries, etc. Pop along for a walk and see what tickles your fancy.

Inside this shop is very tidy and well service, well safety. All the packets of food are well neat and clean and tidy. All meats in deep packages are looks cleans. Looks well done.

It has everything I need,except the carpark usually pretty full.

Lovely greeting on entry and exit by security folk. Was a quick but pleasant visit.

Hit and miss with the staff here, a smaller countdown so not all the selection of your normal sized one.

Wow what an improvement, this store used to be 3guys many years ago and until recently looked old and boring but now it has had an upgrade looks much better although still small compared to purpose built countdowns. Car park still way too small and a bloody nightmare if trying to park on a busy day, really frustrating, who's why I only go there if desperate for a few items.

A smaller maybe more intimate store, I find it hard to navigate, although staff are friendly enough.

The store is alot better now all the alterations have being completed.more room to move beer and wine is shelved properly. Easy to find what your looking for.

Its the smallest countdown I've been to and you don't have to walk a mile from the carpark to the entrance.

Great local store, lovely staff A place I spend a lot of time in regularly Dosnt have all the bells and whistles of the big stores but it definitely holds its own and accommodates all basic necessity but now there's a few extras re bakery it's a lil store that just keeps surprising!

Excellent friendly staff. Good selection of produce, store is always clean. Awesome lay out, it's relatively easy to find what you are looking for. Wish I didn't move to a different area, as I'd quite happily travel across town if it wasn't for the travel restrictions with the current level 4 status.

The store is always nice and tidy. Good stock, I always find what I need. Helpful and friendly staff. Only downside is that the carpark kan be quite busy at times and its hard to find a carpark.

Nice place but needs an upgrade- bigger venue would be much better and biggest selection of food and drinks. The staff are good but the place could Do with expansion of the opening hours. Also the shops around it could be more functional and supportive of the general shopping experience you find in a shopping mall. It’s just an Average place to shop not an all-round good shopping experience. The car park is always very busy as well and it just feels like cramp when you’re walking in and out of there

A well kept store with friendly staff

First time visit for me at Countdown-Pt.Chev,I normally shop at Countdown Lynnmall. Was a pleasure experience. Store is clean,other shoppers were friendly & so were the staff there during my pit-stop. However the check-out woman who served me seemed to have a cold/flu which was a concern,only cause of how things are but I received good service from her. Other than that I'd recommend to anyone to pop into Countdown Pt.Chev😁

I used to work here when I was in school and I have many fond memories, it looks absolutely amazing in store and a lot bigger, great use of space! About time they renovated that countdown.

Can't wait to get me my No Added Sugar Bundaberg Burgundee Creaming Soda Six Pack for $8.79 after a long business meeting at my offices. Nothing like it.

Perfectly adequate as a local supermarket but has pretty limited range and parking is tricky. Recently 'upgraded' - jury still out on whether that was an improvement!

Great 'little' store! Used 'Scan & Go' app for the first time! Liked it very much - no queueing at the checkout for me!!

This is the supermarket that is closest to home now but it is only good for the basics or picking up something in between main shops. It is small and they dont have the range the larger stores have. We couldn't even find peppermint tea.

Since the renovation the selection of some products is greatly reduced

Great little super market but note it doesn't have everything because its small but has enough of the basics and alcohol . Quick to get around though. you might bump into people so be mindful. Friendly atmosphere

For a Very Small old super market it dose ok for emergency shopping... Selection is very limited.But I will say it's nice and clean and every one is friendly. And that is always a pleasure. Sometimes parking can be very challenging too.. but a bit of patience and a park appears .😊🌞

We have a online delivery countdown in Grey Lynn, so it takes getting use to changes. I love seafood fresh. I love the Pt Chev location because of the beach. So I am a bbq and Sea Super Insects person. Mussels Pipi, Crayfish and all that. ?

Staff are good...this is a very small supermarket so limited space and options but handy as a local shopping spot.

Has most things for a small store

This place is just too small for the amount of customers who go there . Some items are available elsewhere where there is plenty of space available . The pro's , good sized parking area , friendly staff , and help available if required . Con's ; no security in the car park . Lock it or lose it . I've witnessed young juveniles accompanied by adults checking car doors to see if they can gain access . Please be aware this happens anywhere , not just here . The store also does not have a deli available . I know the owners are Asian and can't be bothered hiring a better sized store . Not being racist or anything but really the owners need to give back to this country instead of owning our stores and getting Rick off high prices I've seen in other stores cheaper . Just being totally honest .

Convenient little supermarket. Does not always have what you want especially variety of products. Although specials always seem available. Wish it was a bit bigger and not like a glorified corner shop which it is at the moment. Fruit and vegetables section well stocked but no deli or seafood counter of course.

Not the best supermarket really!

A small supermarket, compared their other branches, and looked really packed. Their staff members looks busy, and don't give enough attention to customers. However, this one does have most of the stuffs that you wanted if not all. They shared the parking area with the rest of the shopping centre.

Shop has been under construction, now its brand new compared to 1,5 months ago, so welcome to the new countdown, they dropped their prices in all Isles, good prices before Christmas, to get more customers in, I believe, good deals, I recommend it you.

Went to three countdown stores to buy something that I required and was advertised. So was happy with Three Kings store who had it in stock.

Micro-supermarket, like a four square or large dairy or corner store, much smaller than other branches around Auckland. Relatively clean and tidy, selection is limited due to its compact nature, has many of the popular brands that you’d expect but missing the full deli, seafood, bakery and green grocery departments. Sells alcohol, popular brands but as expected not a full range. Not a bad store but if you can get to one of the bigger branches conveniently then I’d recommend you do that so as not to be disappointed with the options, or lack thereof.

This Countdown used to be small and grubby but has recently been renovated to be a very nice store.

Small but convenient, cheap but not as big a range as larger stores, however they do have the Macro Organics baked beans and tinned spaghetti, which is more than can be said for the CBD store, and a few other larger stores!!

It's like the little supermarket that could. It adjoins a sad mall, the supermarket is cramped, dimly lit, small and the range is correspondingly limited... but the staff are friendly and fabulous. The neighbourhood deserves better, but in its own way it's a gem.

A smaller countdown than we expected, couldn't find roast chicken but ended up being a small oven wedged in a little niche. Got what we needed and was pretty good experience overall

Yes...unfortunately it`s small shop... Should be bigger, but there are working the most kind and lovely staff I ever seen :O) One problem around shop is really not a nice - the carpark, which is toooo small for quite busy place.

This supermarket is small, and always has been, it stocks most things. Like going back in time about 20 years. I grew up in Pt Chev so know it well.

This Countdown is widely recognised as the most run down, and overdue for a remodel, supermarket in Auckland... well amongst my friends anyway. This is not a reflection on the staff, who are, for the most part, friendly and helpful. There are often people begging outside, which some may find intimidating, and sometimes terrible buskers, but sometimes awesome ones. In particular, the old dude who's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. He may just be this store's saving grace!

Very small compared to other Countdown's in Auckland. Has no Bakery, Deli or Seafood counters. Good for basic grocery shopping

Store is abit small and crammed... not enough self service counters and placement of where the ice is seems like it's far away after the counters is so they can monitor it perhaps?? Whatever the reason is I spent over 5 minutes looking around for ice and couldn't find it

Bike parking is available by the main road. Great for essentials and a bit more. Friendly staff, clean store.

Only issue I have is the size and product selection/availability. I prefer to shop local to support our businesses and because the location is convenient but it can be frustrating when products arent always available.

The service here is unreliable, sometimes it can be good, sometimes its like visiting a funeral home.

Arriving tonight I could almost not get thru the car park as the trolley return area was so overflowing it impeded the car park. Then go inside there are no trolleys or baskets. Shocking

Countdown provides all the fresh groceries in all shelves plus there are free fruits for children. People in Countdown are sincere.

Yeah it's alright ay, always got what we need in stock for the essentials. Not the largest selection but still has a good variety.

It's small but basically has what you'd need for a simple meal. It's dark compared to other countdowns.

This is a smaller Countdown, so doesn't cover the same range as some of the larger stores.

Staff are always very helpful here, you might not want to do your main shop here buts it's very handy for grabbing the essentials you might have forgotten.

Real small for countdown and that comes with limited variety of all items. But was able to buy what was needed.
