Countdown Sunnynook has lots of options that other countdowns around the area such as Milford don't have plus the staff are always really friendly and ready to help you. The only problem I had is recently there has been a lack of stock on the shelves which I'm guessing is due to covid and Christmas.

My local countdown. But I am always disappointed with their stock level. Often I can not find what I am looking for here and ended up having to go elsewhere. But a nice clean store with easy layout nevertheless.

The most convenient place to shop to. It has most of your basic needs and is very accessible. Near to Sunnynook park and Plunket. If you are staying in Wairau area, then this is your another option aside from Pak N Save.

By far one of the top 2 Countdowns on the Shore. Huge variety and the only thing we notice constantly out of stock (but it's actually a nationwide supplier issue in all supermarkets) is the Dolce Gusto Coffee capsules in Intenso espresso, Americano and Ristretto. Basically the stronger black coffees. It is larger with a wider range of products and some ranges in I.e. cat food that I've never seen in other countdowns that our cat LOVES even more than whiskers AND it's much cheaper!! A great store with good cleanliness and no major complaints. 👍🏻

Our local. It's weird reviewing a supermarket but here we go... We have been in the area around 10 years and have always had the best customer service from Countdown Sunnynook. The team are respectful and helpful, not only to us but to each other I notice - they seem a great team working really well together and enjoying it. Excellent 😍

Great little local super market and easy parking. Lack of a wider selection of products. I find that it has everything I need but I can get more selection of different products from a bigger store. Every Sunday evening they seem to have run out of basic veges like broccoli and carrots so I sometimes need to go to the vege store across the car park. Customer service is great here and the staff are happy and friendly. Big ups to the older islander guy that works here - always so helpful and says hello to everyone he sees! Great to see people enjoying their job!

Lots of parking. This store is good, just a little smaller than average. I like it, but... there is always a charity asking for money at the entrance. This makes me uncofortable, even if I want to donate. I just want to do my grocery shopping and leave.

I go here at least once a week. All staff are helpful as I am disabled I need help reaching hi or low shelves and they help with this. Lifting my bags. And are patient with my slowness. There are friendly bunch

I hadn't been here in many years, and it used to be an awful store so I have avoided it. Thos morning I found myself needing to pick someone up here after an emergency and so stopped in to get a drink and a chocolate bar. I'm glad I did. Much has changed over the years and it is now a very clean and tidy store with friendly staff.

Neither amazing nor poor, it's just the local supermarket with a decent amount of parking but not the largest size inside. They do have a bit more wine and in nicer displays than some of the CBD countdowns, but less aisles. Actually can't remember if they've got self checkout bc I always end up having to go through a regular line every time.

The location makes it ideal to pop in and grab a few groceries on the go. Customer service is great. Only down side is that it is rather small imside so it does tend to make one feel claustrophobic when it is busy as the isles are narrow. I also find that it doesn't stock some of the products I purchase.

This is a nice sized countdown, unfortunately they seem to be very understaffed. I went in around 6-6:30 and even though this is a busy time there were only 2 cashiers on. You have the option of self check out, but I don't like using that. They seem to have more products than the Mairangi Bay Countdown & are good/better at discounting than MB CD. Good to go here for the occasional shop, hope they can solve their staffing problems.

A life saver branch I would say. Close to home. Whenever we need anything asap, we would go to this branch. It has enough stock stored to cater your needs. It does not get crowded. Very clean and well organized.

One of many Countdown branches located across New Zealand, this is the Sunnynook branch. There is spacious parking with a modest amount of floor space to accommodate most goods. I usually buy my meat and produce here as they are always consistent and have relative great pricing.

Smaller, but busy Countdown. Everything you need. Lots of other little shops on the outside from post office to bakery, chemist etc. Sometimes car park is pretty crowded as it's not very big.

Back to 3stars the self service checkout is problematic with baggage area and very annoying! (Previous review 4 star) Local to us and so convenient. It's gone through a few changes building wise for the better and has the self service checkout which used to be problematic but ok now. Good variety and they now have a reasonable section for healthy options at, sometimes, competitive prices. Dislike is the carpark in which the spaces are crammed and chaotic with moving traffic which is namely impatient drivers. On the whole it's pretty good!

A good local supermarket with regular clientele. Same weekly savings as other Countdown stores but the staff could be friendlier. Some are young and glum. The carpark is notorious for getting door bumps and that is because many cars are 4x4, SUV or with inconsiderate drivers who bang your car with their door or their shopping cart. BEWARE OF THIS.

One of the most sorted out Countdowns I've bin to... Staff is friendly but yes they might ask you for 18+ card in case they feel that ure below 18 years. It's embarrassing at times though !! However the place comes up with lot of specials, so look out carefully before buying. Happy Shopping fellas 😉

Loved my first experience back in a Aotearoa supermarket. Was so clean, nicely organized, had a eide variety of lanes open. Shelves eell stocked. Forgot how we did it been in Sydney and their supermarkets are a mess.

You can buy vast quantity of food here at good prices and now with the self checkouts you may now have limited human interaction perfect for those single humans that love reheated frozen pizza and a 2L tub of hokey pokey for one on a Saturday night or if you are an up and coming master chef countdown will help you food wise (don't worry if you can't cook they have some magazines with recipes and really nice feed 4 for $15 recipes) to surprise that special someone. If that special someone to you is covered in fur and has a tail they have you sorted with pet food only the gods would serve their animals. happy shopping!
