I had been after decent sake set and hadn't found anything I liked so I decided to try Japan Mart in Manukau as it seemed to be a pretty decent size from other reviews. It really is a big store compared to most others I've been to with a nice mix of foods and beverages on one side and Japanese homewares on the other. Highly recommend the Marukome miso with dashi if you are struggling to find decent Miso, and it's worth trying out the different craft beer and sake too if that's your thing, the range should give you good reasons to pop back a bunch of times. Oh and I did manage to pick up a Sake set I liked, there was maybe five different styles so not a massive range but I found what I was after. All in all it's the best Japanese store I've been to so far, worth braving Manukau mall for :)

First time in this store. Large variety of inexpensive houseware goods and groceries specific to the Asian market. Cheap prices, bought food covers but only small size available. Quality of items not great.

From groceries to Japanese food and liquor, to cosmetics, it's one of our local favourites! The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have members points system too and you get triple points every 3rd, 13th and 23rd of each month.

A great japanese store with wide range of asian items and food! One of the best mart in westfield, kewpie, mogu-mogu, japanese rice or noddles and so much more! All items will surely feed your curiousity and for sure, you'll leave the store with some thing you haven't had before! Give this store a visit, it will be worth it! 😊

I love any Asian Market. My daughter introduced me to this place. She is learning the Japanese language and is partial to Japanese cuisine and this Mart has it all and signs in english on suggested recipes to try with different ingredients.... perfect for me and a perfect place to pack a Care package to send her for xmas

So random and great! I loved it. A very complete selection of confectionaries, foods, and drinks. There's homewares and liquor here too. Cosmetics and stationary can be found here too. No electronics or books though. Definitely recommend if you're after almost anything Japanese.

Great variety of Japanese products and good to see different innovations from what we are used to here in NZ. Love roaming the store to see all they have to offer

I love the place, Though it may not have many varieties as Daiso, still it is a good place to shop. Plenty of japanese food and products.

Sells many imports over japan including not only foods and ingredients but also household equipment and basic necessities. Staff here are attentive and know what they are selling. I got a bottle of rare irohasu here, and really enjoyed it.

Worth visiting.good selection of food stuff, and products and gifts for everyone

Great variety of Ingredients and snacks for a change from the every day local products, just wished they had an outer door you could access from outside which I'd feel would drive more traffic n spending for them rather than having to enter through the mall to get in, but overall a must to see.

Great shop at Great prices .. a combination supermarket and haberdashery type store focusing on the Japanese products. Two handy locations for those out in South Auckland being Manukau City and Sylvia Park

The ladies in this wonderful store are amazing. So helpful and courteous. Thank you to the lovely staff on the evening of Friday 4 December for guiding a complete novice with their fantastic range of Japanese fare. Yum!

Great place for everything Japanese!! You can lose track of time browsing through the store as there is a huge variety of items. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

A very wide selection of Japanese food, homewares and general goods. The shop location is very convenient, with parking close by. Staff are helpful.

The staff members are friendly, attentive, and helpful; and they stock and sell lots of Japanese items and knicks-knacks. The shop feels serene with calming music. Also sells sake of various prices and flavours. If you can't find what you look for, just find and ask one of the staff; and they'll try their best to get it for you.

If you haven't been it's definitely worth dropping in. A plethora of Japanese products, with an especially excellent selection of household items.

Not bad. I went there for rice wine but they dont have much choices of drinks so it’s a bit disappointment.

I found some cute little tea cups but no suitable tray for a small cast iron teapot. I love exploring this store! The prices are very reasonable.

Good store with lots of variety for food items. Try the matcha ice cream with red bean paste and mochi.

The staff is so friendly and super helpful! The place is kept clean as always and the shelfs are fully stocked

Very well stocked with understandable items for an English only reader. I go there only to buy Pokari Sweat. An ion drink which seems to be beneficial for me.
