Absolutely loved wandering around these perfect isles late at night when it’s quiet. Nice music playing. I enjoyed my time here so much I forgot half the things I went there for.

Good entry of fruit 'N veg produce. Fresh and colourful. Aisles well stocked Clear labelling. A good selection at the deli. Efficient service at checkout. A good vibe. Good to see soft plastics bin. All round worthwhile .

So much more variety and actually have things in stock ! love how they have more products around plant based, international and healthy foods!! Highly recommend this supermarket

I actually love this New World. Sure, premium mangoes can sometimes cost $9.99 each 😳 but island living begets expensive fruit, amirite? Honestly, they've got an awesome selection of vegan products like the entire Pico range of vegan chocolates at affordable prices and those vegan Pam's brioche buns that are perfect for BBQs

amazing selection of wine and craft beers awesome from veggies to butchery and bakery fantastic just the international or Asian section is super limited but nonetheless I was impressed

The place is well organized in it's display and they have a huge variety of grocery options here. Very rare you will find stuff out of stock. The refills are timely. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. The coffee place is nice and with an expert Barista. 👍

Great craft beer selection, just skip past the fruit and veggie. Then your submersed in the alcohol section. Head to the snack track and your out of there.

This is my favourite new world in Auckland. I think it’s the right size, not too small, not to big, so it’s easy to find what you are looking for and also has a good variety of items. But just like all new worlds, it’s a tad bit expensive in comparison to Paknsave. But it’s very similar to countdown overall.

45 minute wait no problem, the line was long but it was well managed. Plenty of options, shelves were full, store was clean and tidy and happy staff. But man the prices for everything just killed me. There is a noticeable difference in the veg price since we hit Level 4.

The best super market in city to get your ready to eat lunch ,brunch ,dinner ,may be even breakfast, coffee one the best must cheak out the food to go area warm and cold foods available .i wish was working around here.

One of the best New World supermarkets I came across in Auckland will travel from South to come shop here. Love the atmosphere and easy parking the variety of products on offer here some which you cannot get from other branches the ciabatta cheese bun is a favourite and the Chicken leek pies lots of self service checkouts so no long wait times in queue's :-)

The bakery section here is seriously impressive, with lots of beautiful cakes and cupcakes on offer. Otherwise a well stocked big supermarket, easily accessible on the city fringe. Carkpark is decently sized.

Lovely and clean, they are super careful with hygiene due to covid and wipe each trolley’s handle before giving them to you. Your own bags are not permitted in the shop, you need to pack in your bags after leaving the checkout area.

A very neat and clean New World supermarket around Victoria park. Has all the daily groceries you need. Totally loved shopping experience.

It's something with this store, feels different than others, but on good way...

I'm writing this in Level 4 and the system they have for entry, shopping and packing your own bags is excellent. Well controlled and shelves are full. One thing I love about New World is getting their weekly newsletter and the Recipe of the Week. I have a lot of success with their recipes and appreciate the extra work they all go to inspire us to cook (and shop!) Nga mihinui

Very tidy supermarket, so many options and I think cause its inner city lots more of the fancier /boutique type small kiwi business foods which is awesome cause I love to support and try these new brands. Really cool range of in store made fresh pizzas too! Carpark is great, easily accessible and free which bucks the usual trend of inner city/ponsonby paid parking

I had always shopped at Countdown as I have only ever lived near those or Pak'nSave and haven't really had any complaints but I will say that there are certain things about this New World that raise the bar for me. The fresh produce here really is top notch for a supermarket, they really source some good quality vegetables and fruits, and the meat section is bordering on a chain butcher's. As it's Victoria Park there is certainly more of a focus on the fancy as well, from their wine selections to even the ready to eat meals (Manly Park Kitchen - MPK - meals are worth a look, the pan fried Dory was excellent for an RTE meal). They also stock Pam's Finest, which as a brand I rate very highly. Despite being attached to the budget brand it really steps things up a notch, even beyond some of the far more pricey brands, with things like the Potato Gratin being just an excellent ready to cook experience. Like a lot of places you might feel like just a number shopping there at first but If you shop there regularly staff will get to know you and provide a friendly experience as well.

Great store with lots of beautiful produce. Staff helpful and kind. Due to covid 19 they have security in the store who dont smile, dont talk and just constantly look angry and unfriendly. So happy when this is all over and we are back there without feeling unwelcome!

Good quality products, I keep getting told that it's a very expensive supermarket. They sell sushi and lasagna so nice enough place to grab a quick lunch.

Best New World in inner city Auckland .The selection is extensive. Good pre-prepared meals. Not the cheapest supermarket but it always has what's on my shopping list. Getting out of the premises is exceptionally difficult if you have no car and are using your own shopping trolley. Really dreadful planning for people who use public transport.

My favourite new world, the best wine and meat selection. Easy to park and never too busy

I really love this NW. It used to be expensive, but recently it begins to offer much more specials (so I abandoned Countdown). The thing is, you're able to find fancy staff here, like French cheese, strange fish fillet and imported goods.

I've lived in central Auckland for many years now, and I'm usually a magnet for the most atrocious service in various places, but no, not from Mo!. Bright, chatty and seriously friendly. Great off street car park and goods are logically organised in shop.

It's fine. Fruit and vegetables always nice and fresh, reasonable deli, although far less variety than years ago. Store made bread not great, but better than in most Auckland supermarkets. The range of groceries is pretty much what you get elsewhere, perhaps slightly better. Extensive wine selection. I haven't been to this grocery much over the last couple of years and do notice a tightening range, but I guess they have to stock the regular sellers rather than bringing in the kind of variety they had in the past. Service at checkouts is always efficient and groceries are sensibly paced, which is nice. So yes, fine, but not the place to go if you are looking for much in the way of gourmet or exciting food

Lovely staff, AMAZING food, I have always loved your store. I live at Bethells beach and took the journey to come in today because of your FANTASTIC food options. BTW keep up the salmon sashimi donburi. It was a real super treat. Probably extra red sauce needed, like double the size offered

I travel a bit further just to go to this supermarket. It is easy to get a park, the store is always clean and staff are friendly. Shelves are always tidy and well-stocked, produce is always fresh and great meat options too

Was my 'go to' supermarket until Countdown opened in Ponsonby - they are really trying to emulate everything NW Vic Park does... but it's still a Countdown and does not have the variety that New World has

It was our quick trip to stock up some food just before the closing hour, but we're giving a few packs of bread free.

If the pricing here wasn't so comically over-the-top, I would not give a second thought to leaving a five star rating. The range, quality and availability of products is fabulous - if pricey for a supermarket. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The store is clean, well-lit, and the 11pm closing time was a blessing when a late-night-emergency-carb-binge was in order (though considering the state of my belly and bank account the next morning, perhaps a curse, not a blessing?). The butcher/fresh meat department is lovely, and the tiny pocket for international/gourmet treats is sublime. Expensive supermarket for expensive tastes, but worth it.

Great supermarket! I had such a blast browsing the aisles and finding some yummy food to eat. I especially loved the quality produce and the fish selection. The only downside was no free samples and not that many specials either.

A good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Adequate raw meat selection & readily roasted chicken. Freshly made sushi. Staff were friendly to assist if asked. Cafe available for a quick hot drink. An ATM is located inside the supermarket. Free car park.

Always quality product here. Great range and variety with awesome meat quality and often has organic produce. Plenty of parking and convenient. Never had a bad food product experience and staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend to those not on a budget.

Super nice manager let me and my vehicle out after 11pm when I found I'd got locked inside. A really well stocked supermarket and so handy for quick purchases when you are working in the city. Loads of parking, just remember to leave before 11pm!

One of Auckland's very best supermarkets. Go here for stuff you can't find anywhere else. Superior organic food, imported comestible, designer chocolate & dairy product sections. Awesome butchery & bakery too. Owned by a guy who worked his way through the chain & pays his staff above award wages. Loads of parking over 2 floors & street parking too. 4 stars instead of 5 because they shut at 10pm when it used to be midnight. With daylight saving & Auckland life, 10pm is a bit disappointing.

Central, affordable and offers local produce. Has a wide range of products from that supports a number of different lifestyle, diets and eating requirements. Has a cafe in the foyer, the best deli of any supermarket I've visited and a sushi bar where freshly made sushi is available.

The people working there are awesome. It's a supermarket so ebbs and flows. But always fresh vege.

Very busy but a huge range and well stocked shelves. Didn't have to wait long at the registers and there is heaps of parking underneath. For some reason they had "lost" the key to the public toilet, which was a bit suspicious but everything else was great

If you're quick enough to get to the Deli around lunch time, this is where you get The Best Ever Hot Ham, Lamb and Pork Rolls (with Salad & Sauce). 😋 And yes, they also have an excellent range of quality Supermarket Goodies, self help as well as queuing checkouts, helpful staff and strong Web services. In the Supermarket space, this is a Class Act; well worth visiting lots. 👏

Lovely staff allowing last 5 minute shoppers!! They even provided a nw card membership discount that we hadn't used in awhile.

This is my local supermarket and for the most part it has all the goods. I especially like the range of health foods they stock - that being said the meat could be better as could the cheese. The cheese is very processed and prepackaged and for the price being charged I think it should be of a better quality.

Arrived at the Bakery section to collect pre-orders of items for The Justice Conference and the help and service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Done additional shopping and then due to the volume of my total purchases, a pay point was specifically opened for me by the one managers and purchases were completed. Overall, great experience and the prior dealings with the Store Management, Bakery Supervisor was very professional and relaxed. Highly recommended and will definitely do return business in the future.

Great super market with good accessibility. You can buy fresh local and imported produces. Close to Victoria park and few metres away from sky tower. Walkable distance from Hobson street. Great place to buy fish and meat. The place we always walk to buy our bread and vegetables. Staffs with good hospitality and manners.

New World especially their deli are straight up fantastic.With hot nibbles and such actual genuine variety. I’d also like to shout out their management team. Such a thankless job but after a cashier accidentally forgot to give me change, they went out of their way to to resolve the issue. Even gave me a big box of roses chocolates. Great stores aren’t measured by their success but how they react and treat the customer during their failings. Well done truly 👍👍

Had a wow experience yesterday all thanks to Poi Thomas (apologies if the spelling is incorrect). I was promised a free hot/cold bag from a previous shop, when I came to fetch it Poi was very apologetic because there weren't any left. To my delight while shopping, he came and found me with TWO free bags, that he managed to find! A super star and an awesome shopping experience. Thank you!

The food selection in general is very good - especially the wine and produce. The only let down is their selection of ready made lunches for local workers. Purchased a thoroughly revolting wrap in there.

It was difficult to see exactly where to enter after going up the ramp. When we found it, we found all we needed. The checkout chick and baggage chick were casual and friendly which was great.

Maybe I'm just used to Countdown layouts, but this place is confusing to me. In its favour, it does have one of the best beer selections I've ever seen, and it does have a variety of quality foods that you won't see in an average supermarket. On the downside, it's super expensive, odd to navigate (the milk is in the middle??), and always seems very busy, even when it's not.

Used to be the most expensive supermarket in Auckland, and luckily not anymore. Although their price is slightly over the average, their quality is definitely better than any other supermarket. They also have some specialties items, and have much better variety than their competitors in the city area. The downside is that they close at midnight. If you collect FlyBuys points, this definitely is your place to go to.

Certainly one of the more pleasant places for supermarket shopping. The deli is pretty good, and things like hot ham and ham rolls are great for quick meals. I also particularly liked being able to buy a single Lamington.

It's a huge supermarket. Convenient location in central part of Auckland.

Not much change or innovation happening at this store. Any new product is more of the same. Boring vegetarian assortment. Check what's happening in Europe and the USA. Vegetarian isn't just tofu, there's so much more. Purchasing listens to tips but doesn't act. Change would be good.

Best supermarket. Always have the best fruits, good people around and eager to help. Good deals, great click and collect service. Not the cheapest or the one with the best delivery deals but best quality and gives me airpoints

This has been my supermarket for about 20 years and some of the staff are still here. It's the staff that make it the best, I even drive here even though it's no longer my local.

They have a quaint coffee shop inside. Great coffee - Altura's. Great pastry selections. Friendly and accommodating staff. Few tables to accommodate diners, not recommended for long stay.

Used to shop there nearly every day for a couple of years, and got to love the place, although some of the staff could be friendlier, most of the ladies at the Deli were fun and friendly, and the staff at the counter is always helpful. They do get busy quite often as they operate long hours, not many supermarkets do that.

Probably the best New World in NZ. Great deli, heaps of products and really clean. The staff here have support and don't look over burdened like in other stores.

There are very few really good supermarkets in NZ. I only know of 3 others and they aren't in Auckland. Anyway this is one of them. Friendly helpful staff, excellent range (though they don't have everything). The aisles are a little wider so even when they are busy it isn't too hard to get around, and they are always open.

You can find all you need from this place, open enough to let people stroll around. Premium prices for what should be premium products. Slightly more expensive than countdown, but let’s see if they can convince a switcher.

The best supermarket in Auckland in terms of variety of goods, absolutely brilliant staff service and the specials they have actually do save money - not just 10c off. Two dedicated carparks one undercover and the top open carpark has a dedicated Discount Taxi rank and disabled parking. Love that they have enough staff on checkouts so you're not lining up for too long. And the staff in the deli section always greet you with a smile and all seem to enjoy working together.

Good supermarket just more expensive than the other big boys in the supermarket industry

One of the sort of fancier New World supermarkets, I suppose. Also on the pricier side though. But look out for half price meat at night! It's really a matter of luck and I can't really say why or when this occurs, but they have really cheap beef and pork mince sometimes (even includes organic or free-range when available).

One of the best supermarkets in the country with a quality range of the basics and an extended range of things you don't need, just want. Bring foreigners here to dazzle them with the choice NZers get at a supermarket. Better than Aldi.

More upscale than the common or garden variety New World with everything that inner city denizens could desire in terms of food and drink.

Excellent supermarket. There are always plenty of check out lanes open and they even pack your bags. Also check out the bakery and deli section as it offers an excellent array of fresh packed food.

Amazing burgers at their lunch time kiosk by the service deli, tender chunky nz beef steak, caramelised onions, McLures pickles and the works for only $7 AND this store used a lot of compostable plant based packaging from Ecoware which is great to see!

This is the best supermarket in Auckland in terms of the astonishing variety. Like a kids in a candy store, you just gotta visit this place especially during Christmas time. The deli section is one of (if not) the best in the major supermarket chains in Auckland (not counting niche supermarkets like Farro). Sure it can be pricey buy hey, this is Ponsonby...I always love coming here.

Convenient for people living and working nearby. One of the more expensive supermarketa I've been to (comes with the territory of being situated on the city fringe though). Decent options for lunch include sushi and salad rolls.

What a treat it is to wander around NW. Great music makes for a relaxing shop and they have a great range of products. My favourite is their pic'n'mix of fruit, nuts, seeds and all sorts of other tasty nibbles. Oh, and they also do a spectacular cronut for when you're in need of a sweet treat!

I always come here when there's exclusive product, food or drink are available in onlt selected pak n save or new world stores. I just got the apple press blueberry after going to several new world in Auckland. This new world always have something you can't find at other places

Situated close to the Victoria street, New world offers shoppers a wide variety of fresh produce and groceries. Ample parking spots available. This place accepts credit cards, debit cards and cash.

I was there to grab food for lunch. While it already has a decent selection of takeaway food for a supermarket, It will be nice if there is even more hot food option as the majority of lunch time shoppers seems to be there for the ready made food.

I found New World very organized and the service was great.

Lovely staff here,tdpw friendly. The deli is beautiful and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The hot Ham roll with chutney and salad is a go to.

Great variety and not too many people in early Saturday morning.

Great range, renowned for awesome craft beer... zero common sense applied by the staff. Popped in after a run (only carried EFTPOS card) to collect some lunch from the deli. Couldn’t help ponder the massive craft beer selection and thought I’d earned myself a taste of the new Behemoth beer. Turns out you can’t buy a single beer in your mid 30s with full beard, receding hairline and greys around the edges for fear of being a lout. Just as well really - I had intended on taking my $12 double IPA and my smoked chicken and kale super salad and tearing up the local park. Lucky New World was there to double the legal age limit and stop me! Ridiculous.

Starting to get out of date a bit, staff not so helpful, would rather chat to each other than help a customer. Some unexplained ranging decisions where favourite brands will suddenly disappear from the shelves.

Good place to go shopping. Presentation of food is great but prices can be steep. Great selection of craft beers in the fridge. Plenty of parking and great variety of food. Also a great place to buy lunch from.

New World Victoria Park is the best supermarket in Auckland for its range and variety of products with lots of choices across budgets from lower end to high end. It also has the most helpful, friendly staff.

This store is pretty big and have a lot of variety. For example if you like beer or wine, you can find a huge range in here. For the price, same as any other New World.

Always well staffed with pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of checkout operators (unlike Countdown Grey Lynn ) and good parking, pricing and location. 5 stars!

There's so much variety here compared to other grocery stores. There are brands and products that I don't see anywhere else. I also like that they have more upmarket items compared to their competitors.

My only complaint is that you can't scan your club card at self checkout. Otherwise they have everything I need and good specials on all the time.

New World flagstore in Auckland. Big supermarket, wide selection of products, expensive.

Love the extensive range of deli items and produce which I can’t find at my local. It’s pricier than other supermarkets but sometimes it’s nice to indulge.

This is a great supermarket. I especially like their bakery section. Try out their gourmet Baguette. Delicious 😋

Great produce and easy to navigate isles, plenty of staff on checkouts, and a large variety of items to choose from. Compared to other supermarkets their prices are on the high side.

It's a big branch and has about everything you need. There's also a cafe in one corner, donation box or bin. I just hope there are benches to sit on other than the chairs at the cafe.

I sometimes make a special trip here as I can find things you can't get in most supermarkets. Great range of products.

Very good New World with lots of specialty food items here not normally found in a New World, probably catering to demand due to the area it is in. Very well presented store that gives a shopping experience and well worth a visit and some gourmet finds to enjoy later

The best supermarket in Auckland. A really large variety of foods. Also has the reputation of being the most expensive supermarket in Auckland. Not sure if that's really true though.

Best New World I have ever been to - and I have been to about a dozen throughout New Zealand. Exceptional deli section in particular.

Nice selection of products that aren't always stocked. But the staff does their best to get you though the background checks necessary to get through checkout.

You get what you pay for. Yes my favourite yogurt is like $5 a tub, but also this is just the premium new world experience.

Used to have good lunch stand with burgers and hot dogs but has been replaced by sushi which is good but not the same. Handy location with lots of parking.

Love the bakery here, always tempted to leave with a cake, a tart or a pastry. Products are neatly shelved and easy to find, keep it up!

I used to work there. There's a variety of things to buy whether it be grocery, catering, shopping online or just sitting down at the Cafe to have a nice coffee.

Lot of varieties, have a coffee shop in side, walking distance from city, road parking free on week end, you have separate new world parking as well on the basement of the building.

Being one of, if not the biggest new world in the country, you would expect the range being huge...but it isn't. We found that a lot of the products we were after aren't there yet we have seen them in smaller new worlds.

Good place to get lunch. Pick what you want in your roll. Hot or cold food. Very nice.

They embrace the fact it's in a business district and have a section with a lot of fresh lunch options including burgers and sushi.

Great supermarket however you pay %10 more compared to Count Down on Ponsonby for same products.

Wide range of products and we'll located between ponsonby and Freemans Bay.. Also great to have a dedicated car park. Prices are still reasonnable

Excellent stop for a quick cheap lunch. One of the bigger New Worlds so good for a full shop too.

Kind of pricey, but they have a pretty interesting selection. I got ostrich sausages for like $7ish.

What more to say, the most upmarket supermarket brand in one of the most upmarket suburbs in NZ. Not cheap but top notch deli section.

Location is awesome if you are on foot, because at certain times of the day (AKL rush hour times) it's frustrating just trying to drive there.

Large busy market with lots of selection. The entrance is strange and funnels people through a narrow entrance that can be confusing. I had a couple people ask me "Is this the entrance?" as I was exiting.
