Nice place. Weekend special is amazing. Love the in store snack shop and bbq shop. Some products you can not get from other place.

I have Chinese neighbours, a lovely couple with a 9yr old boy and 7yr old girl. At Christmas I have started giving them a box of assorted Chinese delicacies. I have found Tai Ping most helpful in filling this box as I have no knowledge of which products would be most missed from their home country. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble from the helpful staff once I expained what I wanted. A very busy shop which showed that our Chinese community know where to get top quality and extensive range of goods. 10 out of 10 on all counts.

Pretty run down building and in need of some refurbishment to make it more appealing. But then again we just come here to grab our Asian essentials and leave. Car park too could do with clearer parking lines and reinstall some of the speed bumps that are deteriorating..

Certain things are super expensive. 5 pack asian instant noodles are almost $6 and some even more. Hygiene needs to maintained too. Otherwise great selection of items are available

5 star - their food stocks are fresh and they have both affordable (bargain) and also luxury food items Side by side on the shelf. Their range suits all price brackets. They also have a good range of Singaporean Taiwanese Korean mainland China Singapore Hong Kong and even Philippino. incredible selection and well displayed in country sections. You need to be knowledgeable to select from the fresh fish - a bit dodgy sometimes. Veggie & fruit excellent! Excellent roast duck and barbecue pork, daily at the rear of the market. All in all a top experience.

You must try this typical Shanghai flavor street food Shengjian (fry pork bun) and Shaomai (steam sticky rice with meat). what you normally can find from Yumcha restaurant which I recommend this, keep most traditional flavor more like street food.

Though this Tai Ping doesn’t have everything from the bigger Tai Pings and it’s a little messy, I enjoy shopping here because there are small Chinese food stalls in the store where you can get cooked dumplings, chicken on rice, and all my favourite Chinese bakery pastries like coconut buns and red bean balls.

Tai Ping Super Store (太平超市) is great place to buy vegetables and takeaway lunch. Woo, the stuffs there is really cheap, even cheaper than PaknSave! Besides, most people in the supermarket are speak in Cantonese, feel like in Hong Kong.

Another Tai Ping asian supermarket, in the busy central Auckland. The building itself it's quite old as you can see in the photo. Lots of things to choice from, vegetables, seafood, meat, etc. But feels tight with so many things on the shelves. Lots of staffs working and walking around, asked for help to find something which they were kind enough to lead me to it, so that's always a good sign.

Enjoyed my visit here yesterday. Size 7 eggs are the cheapest I've seen. They also sell cooking utensils, pots and pans. The only drawback is that you have to deal with other uncouth customers who doesn't understand the meaning of queuing. They probably don't understand the words uncouth or queuing either.

It's a popular Asian grocery supermarket in centre Auckland with good price and variety. I like Taiping's cooked food section in particular. Their roast duck and crispy bbq pork is the best within Chinese stores across the centre Auckland. But be prepared that you may need to queuing for parking some times

Fresh fruit & vegetables, great choice of fish and meat plus loads of Asian things like spices, sauces, mushrooms, curry pastes, and anything else you can think of. I come here a lot over jardan' across the road. They have everything I need they are cheaper they don't block traffic at the end of the street. Very affordable although some of the produce can be rotten so you do need to check. It would be good if they would accept credit card without a minimum purchase and I would come here more often

Quite a tired store and is located out of site from the main road. Although standards are low, the offer is really strong. A lot of people shop here as the range is impressive and pricing is great. On site butcher and fish monger and if you are hungry there are plenty of food stalls on site. Bakery goods are available as are BBQ duck. A bit dirty and sometimes the produce is questionable

If your a Kiwi like me and you love Chinese food then this is the place to shop they have every conceivable veg spices and if your not sure what Ingredients you need to buy just ask the friendly staff they are only too willing to help you select the right things to go with your chosen dish (Happy shopping)
