Go there for my regular weekly lunchtime fill up. And just for snacks. Hardly a queue, and great prices
R. L.Very convenient located in hunters plaza. It could be your one stop shopping as it has banks, shops, food court in one place. Its not too big thats overwhelming. Well layout despite being busy with shoppers for Christmas there was no feeling of being claustrophobic. Clean, great customer services.
C. D.Not as much different products as the manukau stores.The checkout controller on the afternoon is wonderful and you couldn't ask for a nicer person.He always says hello no matter were he is and goes out of his way to help.I wish there was more like him in this store.

A.I do my grocery shopping here every week and I can tell you that perfect customer service as well as the store manager are all second to none! The products are also the same, fresh, well organized on the shelves and I may day this because I've been shopping there for awhile but easy to locate with easy to read labelled isles. Thank you to the countdown manger Mr Vitale and the beautiful smiles of your staff members every time I shop there 👍🤗
J. K.Much better from my previous shopping there. They actually opened up a checkout which I gladly went too, and that's way before 8.30..Its best to go as soon as they open up,and if you know what you need to get you could be well outve there before 8.30...plus car parking is basically empty...

5.Great place to do your shopping in quiet
L.I'm always impressed with the service I receive at papatoetoe countdown. Yesterday one of the workers standing at the door making sure people were scanning In from the app, or writing their name on the list to ensure correct contacting tracing. Which I thought was great. Instead of having just a security guard shuffle people through. The lovely young .man who served me at the counter made time to have a conversation with me. Love papatoetoe countdown...
M.Pleasant & restful 4 shoppers. Personal needs are met well. Tools, Hardware & music wares I go offsite 4 shopping.

J. Q.Recent renovations saw the end of the serviced deli, which is sorely missed. Lack of space has meant some lines have been discontinued. Most staff are great but one or two are permanently sour.

K. N.Don't go here around 4~6 pm the waiting line is peak you have to spend lots of times to wait quotes. But after 6 pm it is hard for me to get some popular goods. Great staffs and facility nonetheless.

R. M.On a previous visit to NZ stayed in Papatoetoe, and dropped in a take away order at the Indian Restaurant!
Asked for directions to the nearest supermarket, and my Indian friend pointed down the Great South Road saying condom, condom!
I explained I did not want condoms but a supermarket, again he pointed Condom, Condom!
So I went in the direction he pointed and there was Countdown, I finally got it!
Countdown!! So quick whizz around the supermarket and headed back to the Indian restaurant where my friend had my order ready, and as I walked through the door he was yelling again and pointing and laughing Condom, Condom ..... as I laughed and pointed Countdown Countdown, it was such a funny moment!
Interestingly other customers waiting for their orders weren’t as amused, and cast a wary eye over both of us! I reckon the Maori who were waiting for there orders, tell a different version of an Indian and a mad Pakeha laughing as they yelled Countdown at each other
