As mostly u would notice in a New World, this store is also clean, maintained and nicely presented. Just by the road. There are self checkouts, which is a better option. As usual, bakery, dairy, deli, and beer m wine available.

I hesitated to write this review. I have never found any problems with the staff and cleanliness of the store. I do with the prices but probably many do! Otherwise, no issues.

All the staff were dressed up in Christmas attire. Even had Santa in store giving out lollies. The staff were incredibly helpful. Even opened an aisle so I didn't have to wait. Wow. The best supermarket I've been to.

Good sized supermarket, has a bakery and delicatessen section. Good selection of meats and seasonal vegetables/fruits. Is not part of a trust area like Gore so you are able to purchase wine and beer here too. Friendly staff on the checkouts.

Usually has some good deals every now and then. Always busy. Some of the older staff are a little bit short with you. The self check our machines are always having issues and at times I've had supervisor walk straight past me and bot bother to help

Awesome little store, had all my needs but alas I don't have one of the club cards so kept away from those specials.... Can we have an app on our phones to secure the discount??? My wallet is already full of too many cards, so frustrating!! Bought my alcohol from liquor land instead due to this card discount scheme

It's the most expensive supermarket iv been to in New Zealand

The supermarket is okay, they have no baskets which is annoying.. That's not the worst part but, not sure if it's a supermarket issue or not. I swear some of the locals are as arrogant as they come! Expect to be blocked in the aisles by shoppers that stop to yarn and show no concern whatsoever for anyone trying to get past. As far as stock goes - it's decent. Plenty of both operator and self service checkouts. Also a lotto outlet on-site. Seems to have sufficient parking.

Great selections. Amazing staff. Help you unload trolley and walk trolley to your car if your hands are full. They recognise you and how much your kids are growing. Cheap bargains and selections in the bakery too

Balclutha, do I need to say more! What an extraordinary experience, well worth the drive from Dunedin to new world balclutha. To by some maggi noodles. They had plenty in stock :) Toilet wasn't to bad either was a bit annoyed at the woman who walked in while I was taking a piss, cos I didn't lock the door. But it was nearly closed. And I thought she would have heard the sound.

I am in a wheelchair and do my shopping at Balclutha l have to mention the help I got last Monday from a nice young man called Casey and the girl from the bakery who got my muffins. You made my day so much better.

New layout looks really good! Spacious, easy to find what you're looking for and the deli food is amazing. Staff are so nice and the carpark layout is great.

Undergoing major renovations at present. Often understoked - anything on special you need to get in quick and there isn't much range. Balclutha would definitely benefit from having more than one supermarket in town. Just one = no competition so it feels a little bit like they don't have to try hard for custom so they don't. In saying that, staff are lovely and generally helpful.
