As mostly u would notice in a New World, this store is also clean, maintained and nicely presented. Just by the road. There are self checkouts, which is a better option. As usual, bakery, dairy, deli, and beer m wine available.

I hesitated to write this review. I have never found any problems with the staff and cleanliness of the store. I do with the prices but probably many do! Otherwise, no issues.

A great New World, spacious and with a great range of products and produce. The displays are neat and tidy. If I lived in Balclutha I would shop here.

Has a good variety of products, deli has some surprisingly yummy treats available. Some self checkouts are also available.

All the staff were dressed up in Christmas attire. Even had Santa in store giving out lollies. The staff were incredibly helpful. Even opened an aisle so I didn't have to wait. Wow. The best supermarket I've been to.

Called in again b4 heading home to Tga...this place has everything a household needs..well laid out reasonable prices...staff friendly as well..

Nice climate with the availability of all essential consumer products from all aspects of ethnicities. Wide range of job opportunities for every class people.

Bought all our groceries for our trip to the Catlins. Clean tidy Supermarket excellent fruit and vegetables.

Good sized supermarket, has a bakery and delicatessen section. Good selection of meats and seasonal vegetables/fruits. Is not part of a trust area like Gore so you are able to purchase wine and beer here too. Friendly staff on the checkouts.

Very busy but that's expected this time year😊but very confusing arrows every where and people lined up with trolleys blocking off aisles😮 so many workers with big trolleys blocking access🤔

Usually has some good deals every now and then. Always busy. Some of the older staff are a little bit short with you. The self check our machines are always having issues and at times I've had supervisor walk straight past me and bot bother to help

Awesome little store, had all my needs but alas I don't have one of the club cards so kept away from those specials.... Can we have an app on our phones to secure the discount??? My wallet is already full of too many cards, so frustrating!! Bought my alcohol from liquor land instead due to this card discount scheme

It's the most expensive supermarket iv been to in New Zealand

The supermarket is okay, they have no baskets which is annoying.. That's not the worst part but, not sure if it's a supermarket issue or not. I swear some of the locals are as arrogant as they come! Expect to be blocked in the aisles by shoppers that stop to yarn and show no concern whatsoever for anyone trying to get past. As far as stock goes - it's decent. Plenty of both operator and self service checkouts. Also a lotto outlet on-site. Seems to have sufficient parking.

Such a friendly place to shop, great new platter and deli options. Wide range of craft beers and non alcoholic drinks too!

Outstanding service by Paige in the Deli,we were in early in 7/4 and were promptly served by her with her warm and bubbly personality, made a great impression on both my husband and myself

Love the staff they interact with their customers and make u feel wanted in their store managers are amazing Cindy and Sandra and their shelf stacker no where everything is in store the check out people also are amazing ask how ur day is and make me feel like I was their no1 customer even thou I'm not a local

Great selections. Amazing staff. Help you unload trolley and walk trolley to your car if your hands are full. They recognise you and how much your kids are growing. Cheap bargains and selections in the bakery too

Balclutha, do I need to say more! What an extraordinary experience, well worth the drive from Dunedin to new world balclutha. To by some maggi noodles. They had plenty in stock :) Toilet wasn't to bad either was a bit annoyed at the woman who walked in while I was taking a piss, cos I didn't lock the door. But it was nearly closed. And I thought she would have heard the sound.

I am in a wheelchair and do my shopping at Balclutha l have to mention the help I got last Monday from a nice young man called Casey and the girl from the bakery who got my muffins. You made my day so much better.

New layout looks really good! Spacious, easy to find what you're looking for and the deli food is amazing. Staff are so nice and the carpark layout is great.

Clean & tidy. Employees are really friendly. The shopping trolleys are absolutely massive haha.

Undergoing major renovations at present. Often understoked - anything on special you need to get in quick and there isn't much range. Balclutha would definitely benefit from having more than one supermarket in town. Just one = no competition so it feels a little bit like they don't have to try hard for custom so they don't. In saying that, staff are lovely and generally helpful.

Always great service from these guys, I'm in there so often I don't know which trip in particular this is about. But yea as said, they are usually very helpful so I don't think it matters which journey this was.

Brilliant has everything under one roof. Comprehensive, cheap, free parking! So much better than the North Island, best New World I have been too.
