Good day for shopping. The supermarket parking has plenty of spaces, wheelchair people are welcome too. Every day has different offers on sale and want to mention the staff are friendly and helpful. I was little bit struggling on the wine department because couldn’t find any mention of whether the wine is sweet or dry so I took one and I will see.

Lot of parking spot. Due to Covid and panic buying, some shelves were empty. But most items were available. I found that Countdown bit cheaper than New World.

Countdown in Central Blenheim I had stopped shopping here a year ago due to the poor quality of vegetables and fruit and also a very bad experience whilst waiting to be served at the Lotto Counter while the Cashier was on a Private Phone Call and very rude ignoring myself and others waiting (We have lives too) so I walked off sat in my vehicle and rang your office and complained I was not impressed as this is how you get a bad reputation. However in saying that, of late I have been back shopping here which has been a very good experience and the onecard specials have been amazing so keep up the good work Countdown and ill stay committed to you.

Having three countdown stores is a bonus ...well stocked good fresh bakery n deli ...however I think the range of produce leaves a bit to be desired and some aged stock should be reduced to clear ..not enough bargain bins on meat n meat specials too far n few between with small reductions on reduced to clear stuff ...noticed selection of rice has been cut back with no cheap varietys available ...just need to shop around these days

We left Chch earlier today to head up to The a Marlborough Sounds for friends wedding. We intended on getting groceries from Blenheim on the way through but got stuck for two hours near Kaikoura due to a serious three car crash. Because of this, we weren’t even sure if we could get past Kaikoura tonight due to the newly opened roads from the earthquakes. Feeling pretty stressed we made it through within about 2 mins of the cutoff time then realised we might not get to Blenheim in time to get the groceries before the supermarket closed at 10pm. I contacted Countdown Blenheim in Seymour street and spoke to a very lovely lady called Leigh. I asked it would be possible at all to send her thru a list of grocery items for someone to collect for us so we could collect and pay when we arrived at the estimated arrival time of 10:02pm according to google maps. Amazingly Leigh said yes to helping us, gave me her mobile number and I wrote a list using online shopping and took pics to send thru of the list of items. It was 9pm at the time. We arrived at exactly 10pm and happily greeted by Leigh, Bronwyn and another lady. They kept the checkout open for us and Leigh helped us get the last bits and pieces. Absolutely amazing and outstanding service from your Blenheim store today Thankyou so so much you have taken a huge stress off us after such a long and stressful day!

Was ok has very limited range, was nice and clean but think I will stick with new world as it has a lot more food choices.

(Translated) A very tidy market with friendly staff. When you arrive at the checkout, employees pack your groceries there. Some like it, others don't. I found it suboptimal. Sure, you can get out faster, but the people there use almost a separate bag for each product - exaggerated. It just produces a lot of plastic waste, which doesn't have to be the case if the bags were packed a little smarter. (Original) Ein sehr aufgeräumter Markt mit freundlichem Personal. Wenn man an der Kasse ankommt, packen dort Mitarbeiter deine Lebensmittel ein. Dem einen gefällt es, dem anderen nicht. Ich fand es Suboptimal. Klar kommt man so schneller raus, allerdings verwenden die Leute dort beinahe für jedes Produkt eine eigene Tüte - übertrieben ausgedrückt. Es produziert halt viel Plastik-Müll, was nicht sein muss, wenn man die Tüten ein bisschen smarter packen würde.
