A.Spent the day learning how to butcher a pig, bone out a lamb and make great sausages. This is the best thing since sliced bacon...Brendan Foster of akaroa butchery and his Spanish sidekick Fran treated us to the best tapas and banter you can get. A must do for a bunch of friends....came away with meat sweats and a desire to own a spit roast!!!
A.Best pie I have ever tasted - flavours available were beef, pork and lamb. Pastry light, and subtle seasoning.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

C.Hey mate... Best Butchers sausages I've ever eaten... Took them all the way to Christchurch and cooked them straight away. I've eaten a lot of butchers sausages and most of them are good, but none have come close to this! It's a shame I can't buy your products in Christchurch or I would be there everyday! Aldo your pies are awesome! Got the salmon pie for my partner and lamb pie for me, we both loved them! Give this butcher a try, even if you live in Christchurch, bring a chilly bin... Much better than any butcher in Christchurch, and that's saying something!
b.Knowledgeable butchers. Owner to and operated with French chef mankind deli items such as pages and cold cuts. Worth a stop if you are self catering as it also has the little knick knacks that you need to give foods a difference. Just go in and plan a dinner with their help

S.Lasagne is delicious..small variety of meats. Lots of preserves/sauces etc. Best ham in the country 😉
