Took a while to find the kombucha for my wife. It's in the vegetable section. Must have a better attach rate their than with the other cold drinks.

I used to love shopping here on a friday night after work but over the last couple of years the carpark has been flooded with boyracers who abuse people. So i only go in for a quick shop occasionally.

My fiancé and I regularly shop at Moorhouse Countdown and whilst we have been let down in the past by click and collect, we found that going in was a better experience. Late on a weekend night you have every chance of getting boy racers turn up with their flash cars and neons etc but that element of slightly sketchy sort of adds to the experience. We also met this delightful young man by the name of Tom at the counter who gives really great service with a brilliant wit. Maybe something to work on would be the heat and eat dinners given how many students are in the immediate vicinity, that is just my two cents worth.

This is my favourite Countdown in town. Never crowded and always a great variety of imported products. Although sometimes the shelves could use a little more restocking.

They had a kombucha my wife wanted and glass wipes. Took me a while to find the kombucha but got there in the end.

As nz supermarkets go, it's OK. But why do I always get the feeling that whenever I step a foot in a nz food supermarket I'm going to get fleeced?

I love their click and collect system and separate parking for it. The shop itself is looking great after shuffling a lot of things around. It's a pretty standard countdown, slightly different order as they all seem to be. Nice and clean and staff were polite.

Another NZ supermarket chain. Very good selection and staff. A great place to stock up the rental RV before the trip around the South Island. As in some Canadian provinces beer and wine are sold here.

There seems to be a real shortage of items. Shelf's and the amount of shelf's are decreasing. Just shows you what damaged lockdown has had on supermarket's. Staff seem to have mixed feelings.

Excellent parking (the earlier the better,however early shopping gives one a whole day to do other things rather than trying to rush). From start to finish shopping is easy and without hassle in this store.Shelves are fully stocked with a wonderful variety of foods and general merchandise for your once a week/month etc or stockup and the prices are reasonable thus i keep coming back. The staffare friendly and always willing to assist if need be.

It's Countdown. Consistently good. I've had nothing but good experiences with them, particularly Ngaire from Colombo Street who went above and beyond to get me a refund for my mistake with a Vodafone $20 prepay bought in error. I continue to get good service from every Countdown I visit.

I went there a lot and I can't remember a time I wasn't asked for money by homeless sitting at the entrance. There's sometimes just people using the wall as a toilet near the arcade. Supermarket is fine though but the carpark is rough.

This used to be my favourite Countdown. Staff at checkout us always friendly, plenty parking. But they have been renovating for months now, and seem to focus on online shopping. So there is a lot of staff pushing their carts around to shop for online shoppers. Makes for a messy shipping experience. I hardly go here anymore. Pity

I was quite surprised when I entered. There was no crowd. As normal supermarkets are crowded but it was not. I think it is because of PAK'nSAVE near by this place which is cheaper then countdown and new world no doubt. There were some construction work going on. I reckon they are expanding there space. Eough parking space available. Staffs are good and helpful.

The people that work here are really nice to deal with. The security guard followed me a few times because I look like sh*t after work but once he knew I was a regular he just smiles as you walk in, the guy is just doing his job well. Not countdowns fault but do not leave valuables in your car.

I can say just good words about the company. I feel home here. Every time they surprise us with good price. And the best is that the worker's here are very nice with you. Our usual place to shop! Donna is awesome! Shame we have moved out of the area! One negative would be the amount of beggars you have to walk by to get in and out. I feel for them but at times there can be up to 3 different people at a time.

If you go to Countdown even once a week i'd recommend getting the Countdown One Card as you can get some great deals on items. So if they have specials on things, then with a One Card its discounted even more. What a bonus. The staff a great here as well. 🙂

This countdown is a bit different from others. While the prices are the same, the store layout does not match the usual Countdown layout. The signage for some isles is either misleading or totally incorrect. Some staff are really helpful where some let the side down, and just send you to look for things by yourself with little more than a "maybe that isle". Well below par compared to the usual Countdown standard.

All the supermarkets in New Zealand offers ver good products. In particular Im not a fun of Countdown. The prices are bit higher than New World and obviously Pack N Save. Anyway, Its has a lot of products to offer. Recommended 100%

A fairly standard Countdown. It's conveniently located on one of Christchurch's main arterial routes, with plenty of parking on-site. If you want to combine your shopping with lunch, a snack or dinner, there is a food court accessible from the outside on the Madras Street side as well as a Burger King on the opposite side.
