Large supermarket in Rolleston where you will be able to buy all all of your groceries and all at great prices. There is a big selection of fresh fruit and vegetables along with a great choice of fruit juices. The bread section is quite large and there is a variety to choose from. If you are looking for fresh meat then you are in the right place as there is a fantastic selection to choose from. Wines and beers are all sold at very good prices. So an idea place to shop.

Great produce, clean environment. What let it down was not one staff member said hello , rarely smiled...to me this speaks volumes that the Rolleston Countdown employees are not happy. You can excuse one or two but the whole collective team. Without your Frontline staff, managers won't have jobs. Look after them , they deserve it.

Shelves were well stocked and going around the supermarket was pleasant enough, but for the second time we found the checkout not so great. No assistance with packing and felt as though the lone operator couldnt be bothered. Perhaps they are understaffed.

It's a pretty good Supermarket. I find it a victim of its own success. Very busy. More likely to get a covid queue here than alternative New World. They keep changing the shelf layout. Not sure if someone is trying to justify their job but personally I really dislike it. I like to know where I'm going and not find it different from one month to the next. Rolleston probably needs a pack and save or simply a bigger supermarket now.

Staff kept getting in the way to restock. Not helpful when one has disabled or older parents to navigate through aisles. Staff seemed perfunctory and disinterested and were more interested in getting their aisles restocked rather than accommodating those who had difficulties.

I drive here instead of Ashburton. It has a much nicer layout more stock and the pricing on some items is better and more akin to the competition seen in the city. If you live rural in between the two come to Rolly.

Huge and best supermarket parking I've come across in Christchurch - stress free. Countdown Rolleston is always nice, clean and tidy. Shelves are always well stocked and plenty of variety to make selections from. Great selection range. No long waiting lines to contend with. Hassle and stress free shopping. Staff are friendly and polite. The one thing that they do need to improve on is product pricing e.g. 3 meat products for $20.00. On a few occassions recently have been overcharged for this and have had to return or resolve in store. Although always resolved satisfactorily. Would recommend labelling all relevant meat products with a 3 for $20 sticker so that it avoids confusion for your shoppers. Is great to have an allocated section for easy selection but am suggesting labelling each relevant product with a 3 for $20 sticker - as staff and customers unfortunately put/put back selections in the wrong places. Proper labelling and pricing will improve this significantly and avoid time wasting for the customer and staff in future. Other than that, for me is the best supermarket in Christchurch.

I just like it there. Staff are nice, aisles are wide and lighting is good. Decent selection of imported and gourmet foods, as well as the basics. Sometimes fruit and veg area is a bit "depleted", normally looks good though.

Countdown R is a big supermarket with a very wide range of foods, cosmetics, toys and many other needs The shop is very accessible with special parking facilities for parents, pick up orders, and many parking spaces for all. Service is good at the checkouts and there are many self service checkouts Fresh foods are well presented and fresh. Prices need discretion. Very good super market close to Rolleston Mall too.

It is specious. Prices are competitive. I may say the prices lies in between Pak n save and New World. They run a loyalty scheme too and AA membership card can be used as the loyality card too if u dnt want a separate one.. Pharmacy, bakery is also there inside.

Whist it good to see gloves being worn. They are not effective if not sanitized b/w encounters, it's just like not washing your hands. Also just wiping the area with gloved hands is not cleaning. I'm sorry to complain but when you have a family member still in hospital after 70+days in an immunocompromised condition you are very aware of these things
