Love the organic vegetable range in the produce section!! Just fantastic! The variety is fabulous everywhere and the organic/gf/vegan based items in the isles are just amazing!

I just wanted to say the staff at this new world are so friendly. I always have a great experience shopping here. The staff at the front when you enter have been so friendly and always smiling. There is always someone happy to help if you need. The shop is tidy, has such a wide selection of products and produce. It is always fresh. There is such good sanitizing stations for trolleys and hands.

I shop here regularly. I often buy the Tiramasu near the deli. Today it was the same price as usual but noticeably half the content inside it. Disappointed to see this and hope its not a trend that will continue

A great new modern store for the city. Looks clean & fresh. Amazing range of produce. The deli counter has everything you need. And they have a cafe which does a decent cup of coffee.

Tonight 6/11/21 around 8:40pm me and my family went to your store for shopping (New World Moorhouse) we came up to the counter to pay and I just noticed.that were short with our money and I forgot my phone at home where all my cards are inside, so I decided to take back some of our grocery and a manager came up and help us pay for the rest 😭😭😭😭 so grateful for this guy😭😭bless by your staff and the manager lovely service 🙏🙏😘😘

Talk to Manger the other as tried to get phone top up with my grocery using wine told not allowed the next day when I went the Manger approached and having done some research discovered I was right he gave vouchers say sorry this was amazing and a great birthday present for me well done guys u rock

I can't speak to the grocery experience, but boy-o-boy let me tell you about the craft beer experience! This would have to be the biggest selection of craft beers I've ever seen in one place at the same time! The chap looking after this section is friendly and quick to offer recommendations based on your tastes. It's just as well I don't work locally! I'd have to set up a payment plan direct from my wages 🍻

Never been more impressed with a supermarket. I actually talk about it to other people, how swish and enjoyable it is to shop here. Love the layout and selections and the gift baskets are beautiful too

Beautiful new store. Slightly underdone on the amount of parking though.

I can say that they have the best customer service in ChCh, I had a problem with one product which I had purchased when I emailed the team they got back to me on the same day with a clear explanation, and also they have proved a gift bag for me to collect which was super generous. I should assure you they didn't need to do that, It wasn't their fault, but they were super professional.

Best new world I have been to. Everything was set out amazingly. Plenty of vegan options, salad bar, bulk bins and refilling bodywash etc

One of the nicest supermarkets around. Layout feels a bit more like an Australian / American supermarket. Fresh produce section is very impressive. Store is well staffed and stocked. We loved that you can do eco store top-ups here too. Will happily return.

It's ok. I'm not sure why many people praise the store for the technology as it has tech we used in Europe over 15 years ago. The store looks clean, and this is what people come here for, no more no less. The food choise is the same of any other supermarket but a few different things, but here we are in New World, so they cost more. Overall the store is fine, maybe overrated but it is fine.

This new supermarket is presented very well. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They have some new things such as a machine to peel and chop your pineapple and a station where you can refill your Ecostore containers. There was also a good selection of gluten free products.

A spacious, light and airy supermarket with a wide variety of stock and a place to lock up bicycles. I was impressed that one of the cashiers pointed us at a tourist discount card, which we then used for the rest of our trip around NZ.

The selection of goods is great. The only drawback is that the car park slots are narrower than other New World supermarkets'. It's only a problem if you drive a large car.

Great new super market here. Reminds me much more of hypermarche in Europe. Clean well presented and very pleasant. I can't fault new world supermarket s they do a good job. Although you do pay a bit more than opposition supermarkets it is worth it in my opinion. I've lived in Auckland for several years now Christchurch they are all very good.

Went along to the new store today. Nice new store, good size. The make your own salad bar and eco store refill stations were cool. Though I couldn't really have a good look at them , heaps of suits standing around everywhere talking about how important they are. They were super annoying and in the way everywhere, they certainly didn't care about the customers who were actually trying to shop. No special deals or promotions or anything at all for the grand opening. Was pretty pathetic. Hope the store goes well

Much deserved upgrade from the New World that was once connected to Southcity. Its very modern, bright and spacious. The self checkouts are quick and effecient! The staff members haven't changed, they were nice at the old branch and they are just as nice at their new location. They're an awesome team! Happy with my shopping experience here. Remember your bags or just purchase new ones in store and your club card would save you a lot of money, so definitely have that with you.

I cannot speak highly enough of Justin and his team at New World, Durham Street, Christchurch. I enquired regarding delivery of groceries to friends who had suffered a sudden bereavement. While the store does not as yet have a delivery service one of his staff let me know that the owner and Manager, Justin might be able to help out. I emailed Justin regarding the situation and he telephoned me straight back and said that it was absolutley no problem. On completing the shop and handing the gorceries over to his staff they spoke again with Justin who advised there would be no charge and he would take the groceries around himself. He absolutley went over and above what I had any expectation of and his genuine concern and kindess just absolutely restores ones faith in humanity. Thank you.

Was shopping at your lovely store when i reached up to get samething out of the freezer . Felt dizzy and thought that i was going to faint. Leant against the freezer as there was nowhere to sit. ABBY one of your fabulous staff walked pass ,then she came back to see if i was ok. Offered to get me a chair and same water .I said i was ok. She went away after asking again if i was ok. A few minutes later she came back with Paul Who also asked if i was ok What fabulous and caring staff New World Durham has THANKS AGAIN ABBY FOR WHAT YOU DID . WILL NEVER FORGET IT

Good selection today on the shelves, however 'Noah' @the checkouts chucking the grocery baskets onto the pile ruined the 'overall' experience.... 'Durham' store deli has a good selection of salads & fresh prepared food, good visual layout offering lots of options..... Janelle Lange.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Like most of the Christchurch New Worlds; they carry a good range of interesting beer.

Fantastic staff, all know their store products. Ask a question and it gets answered, not just brushed off. Enjoy shopping here even if it is out of my living area. Thanks all you lovely people

Best supermarket hands down nationwide. Cleanest, friends staff and products seem to be fairly priced.

This supermarket is beautiful! Way ahead of any others in CHCH. Absolutely love the keto stand and the adjoined cafe having keto treats aswell. So nice to know that there are considerate and open minded people out there. Just a gorgeous supermarket!

Impressive supermarket, big deli and cold foods area, so many extras like the salad bar, pineapple cutting machine, nut butter maker, eco store refill station. And the craft beer selection....wow! The most self service checkouts I think I've ever seen in a supermarket! It's a progressive, modern shopping experience second to none and the thought that's gone into building this supermarket is obvious. Only complaint is a tight carpark but that's just about a given these days.

Clean new and modern. And an extra star for having Covid QR codes all around the store!

Wonderful supermarket, really impressed by the layout and large selection of goods, but moreso their refill station for Eco household products! The salad bar is great too.

Great place to find the odd ingredient you may need for a recipe, nice clean place, great selection of fresh produce, & very friendly and helpful staff, they will also honour the price if something has been mislabeled at a cheaper price. Love the bakery they have exceptional artisan bread, am in love with the garlic & olive loaf

Had a great visit to N/world South City. Found it to be full of wonderful fresh produce, and good bargains thru out the store. Loved the Bargain Box idea. The only thing that let it down, was my check out lady. Bored attitude, no welcome, couldn't careless, maybe she is in the wrong job.

They have a gluten free area.. awesome

Used the new system for fast shopping with your own scanner, as like to get in and out quickly. It was explained that there are random scanner checks, and this would happen only 3 times. I had to get one yesterday and also today, so it actually takes me way longer, I realize these things have to get done but twice in 2 days?? Also got 2 phyllos from the deli and they were very irregular in size but the same price

Excellent as a supermarket for vegan deli and bakery options. Reasonable price. Small, central city supermarket that focuses very well on a few things. Looking forward to the larger one opening soon.

Little hidden supermarket close to the end of the Shopping Centre by the food court, not a grey big one but certainly very crowded. Ample parking with pram and wheelchair access. Easy to get to and lots shops close by. Also a children's indoor playground.

Vegan food without the plastic wrap, love this place & they're so open to requests and suggestions. Tried to be helpful to a fellow customer & got given flowers. Does it get any better?

It's really hard to fault this supermarket. It is one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) in New Zealand; and I have travelled extensively from Kaitaia to Bluff!

The New world in south city mall is a nice super market. Has a lot of good groceries. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. Their range is pretty good. I would definetly recommend this place.

New world has a nice fresh food section out of all the other supermarkets. They have those nice pizza buns, muffins, buns, cakes..make sure you have a clubcard for some good deals and a discount.....the best things in life are free right?...

Huge spacious place which has everything that you need. New World for food and groceries and Warehouse for all others, these 2 giant marts flanks the space. There is even a food court to nourish you up between your shopping adventures...

My other happy place, love the coffee and staff, will always be coming back.

Always good to get melting moments made with butter!!!!! Haven't investigated beyond that in bakery, but hopefully there may be more choices without palm oil in them. No other complaints Thanks! !!

Always love coming here as conveniently located especially for those working in the mall and have managed to give options for those of us who are picky with there food preferences. Lotto available and has there own fresh meat section up the back left of the shop

It's a very good grocery store! More emphasis on local brands and recyclable/reuseable packaging is would make things better. Update: They put more emphasis on local and eco friendly packaging. Best super in Christchurch.

It was not open to public yet when I visited on vacation however, I will be back again next year and am looking forward coming to this supermarket. Pak N Save nearby was so chaotic full of impatient customers all over the place with no disregard to others around them. I hope opening this supermarket will help calm down or less chaotic.

Best Little New World in Christchurch. For a small store they carry so much organic, gluten free and imported food. Produce is always fresh and staff is friendly.

NW is pricey compared with just about every other supermarket in nz. However, they do offer a good range of products. Till speed slow and the silly promotionsc such as 'stick a sticky' in a book slows it down even more. Lower prices please.

Catering to tourists and city workers, this is not the best place to by your usual groceries. However, if its simple, easy to prepare foods and an excellent foreign food selection you want, you'll find it here.

Expensive. I wouldn't recommend doing your regular shop here. But it's still well worth a visit. Great selection in the bakery, wine & bulk bins.

This is one cool supermarket. They have ecostore refills, Amie your own peanut and almost nut butter, amazing layout and nice staff.

What a wonderful, bright, colourful store. Inviting food from the butchery and deli. Courteous knowledgeable staff. I do not live in Chch so it was a pleasure to come to this store

Lovely place to hang out. The actual shopping mall part is a little depressing but you cannot beat New World for their variety of edible goods. Yum.

Pulled into the car park and very well set out. Able to find car park easily. Went into the shop I was greeted by smiling staff member. They pointed me in the direction of the aisle required. Lots of various baked goods tempting to buy. Fresh fish and meat looking very tempting as well. Clean aisles and full shelves with quite a few people in the shop. Self checkout was easy to use and cheery staff member was on hand to allow my purchase of alcohol. On the way out a noticeboard caught my eye. Stopped to see queries from other customers with answers from staff members. Other items for sale or advertising of services available. Leaving the carpark was an easy affair.

I like that they are being much more proactive about plastic packaging, however don't let that fool you, there are still unnecessary options. For God's sake, just use a mushroom bag!

Justin did a super job working with me, an American, on ordering some fruit baskets, for some friends in Christchurch. Couldn't ask for a nice gentleman, to deal with.

The refit and move went off without a hitch really it looks like a better environment for staff with the abundance of light and easier access for vehicles as well. New World generally is more expensive than most other supermarket but the quality is better with their fruit and Meat also they have a wider variety of products. The coffee shop in the same building is an added bonus not only the coffee but they do have an unhealthy menu which in this day and age is a welcome sight especially if your after a fish n chip fix. The store is pet friendly as well with dog bowls around the place added bonus is an ATM as cash out is limited to 50 bucks per transaction at checkout.

Your radio has the worst christmas songs i've ever heard. I DO NOT want to hear children screaming on the radio, EVER.
