I visited New World Woolston last Saturday during Level 4 lockdown and was most impressed with the level of compliance, safety, security and cleanliness at the store to meet lockdown requirements. Queueing was organised and well controlled. The checkout service was amazing with plenty of staff wiping down surfaces and cleaning each trolley after use. It felt like a very safe place to shop, thank you

Really enjoy the experience at New World Ferry Road. It's a fairly new store, everything is tidy and clean. Good selection in the bakery section (man I love the cheese and onion scrolls!). Staff always smiling. Happy to say it's my new regular supermarket to shop at.

Not usually where I shop in bulk because they have less specials here than the other 2 big supermarkets but when I do, I find the experience quite enjoyable. It's clean and tidy, staff are nice and friendly. Has a good merchandising and product display. Wide aisles and easy to navigate the trolley. Lots of car parks too. Building still looks new and well maintained.

I enjoy shopping at new world and I consider it to be my local grocery store. However my only concern would be about the staff operators who work the front line of cashiers and the person who oversees the self checkouts. I understand some people aren't in the mood when working but I believe it's not very hard to serve customers with kindness. Whether they are scanning customers shopping or helping them when they need assistance at the self checkouts. I only witnessed a few front line staff members who behaved in a moody matter when asked for help because it seem to interfere with their gossip chit chat. In my opinion just keep it to yourself and keep it professional when in front of customers, I mean surely they can wait and speak about it on their lunch break. However I did think it may be a one off but after shopping here often I have observed the same behaviour from the same few staff members. I found staff who work at the cafe and deli section as well as staff who restock shelves are more welcoming and friendly and are a lot easier to approach if you need assistance or help. Anyway the food is priced nicely if you have a club card and overall you can save quite a bit of you have one. Remember your bags and that's about it.

A pretty reasonable supermarket. Decent selection but is a smaller store, so less stuff than the bigger ones. Staff generally pretty friendly. It's unusual to catch someone on a grumpy day but do get a sigh sometimes if you ask for help or want smokes kept out back and not at the checkouts.

What a friendly sweet store this is! The check-out girl (Holly) was very attentive and genuine without overdoing it . Authentic conversation is quite difficult to do all day long! Everything I needed was in the store. Clean loos and good coffee.

Since the new owners, the staff are so much happier. So many managers just dont get it, if the staff are treated with respect they work so much better... Im very impressed with the vege and fruit isle.. Wow the colours and freshness look amazing.. We shopped there since it opened..

Choose time/day to shop and it's quiet and relatively quick, which is great for someone with anxiety levels like me. Staff are helpful and nice, but need some training on bag packing. Frozens not in the chiller bags, but fruit and fresh vege were? Also, when people bring 15-20 reusable bags and ask for the bags to not be too heavy due to disabilities; having 5-6 empty bags left and 2 bottles of 2l milk, a 3l cordial bottle, 2 bottles of wine and 2 cartons of eggs in one bag together isn't light, nor thinking. Luckily eggs were spotted at car-loading and moved to safety and rest of bag redistributed to make carrying manageable. Have also had to learn to make a habit of checking undersides of butchery packages to see ingredient labels of crumbed/coated items to avoid allergens and expensive waste.

Hands down the best New World in Otautahi. Clean shop. Great deals and amazing customer service everytime.

Love this store. Best bakery breads. Foccacias are the best! Fresh produce. Great meat deals. Friendly, helpful & happy staff. Also great specials, clubcard deals. I stopped going to countdown as I prefer this store.

There were one or two things that I'd usually expect to find in New World that I couldn't find here, but it does appear to be a smaller store, so this seems logical. Most importantly, the staff seemed friendly and everyone I asked help from was more than accommodating. I'll definitely be back here.

I shop here. It cost a little bit more BUT it's one of the cleanest shops around, the produce is never dated and the stock most items

I love to support the business in my area and have been buying from woolston for some years . I was hoping for the stock to be up to date when the new shop went up but that is not so. Lots shelves empty and only one brand of potatoe salad dressing. And only one fresh lettuce ice burg. I love the staff and Will miss them . But will not be shopping here a y more.

No vegan "cheese"! But otherwise no complaints at all. Friendly service and the lovely girl behind the lotto counter was exceptionally helpful. It's not St Martins NW, no other NW could ever come close but it's alllllriiiight.

I happened to notice a bottle of Stone's Green Ginger Wine as I walked past the Wine racks. I haven't seen that in a Supermarket for years, I've been buying it from Liquorland. I hope it's back in all the Supermarkets.
