We were doing our shopping, and decided to try New World. We discovered that, along with the usual items we often buy, they stocked several items we had been unable to get since before lockdown. A good store to shop in.

I used to shop here every week however during lockdown I had an unpleasant experience with a rude bakery staff member which I’ve not got over so I now shop at Countdown Kaiapoi and pick up the odd item from New World Kaiapoi if I need it. There are some great staff members here so it’s a pity one ruined the experience for me. Maybe one day I’ll get over it.

Average Supermarket with a reasonable selection of vegetables, meats, breads, dairy, specialized goods available. I spoke to 2 members of staff and both were not happy in their work. The aisles are close together and it's a little cramped. Only 4 checkouts were open and all had people waiting in line. Having said that I still come here to shop fairly often.
