I've never really had a problem with any Christchurch supermarket. I go in, find my stuff, buy my stuff and leave. Works well for me.

This is my local supermarket and it is a really nice one. It isnt the biggest New World and as such there are some items that I have to get from other places, but on occasion I have asked if they would consider adding a product and sometimes they have been able to. The staff are friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and well stocked. The quality of the fruit and veg always seems to be the best in my local area, the meat and fish always seems good quality and there is a good selection of beers and wines. I couldn't ask for a better local supermarket.

Did my first click and collect here. The subs were perfect, we have coeliacs in our household and they subbed accordingly (I didn't even have to note this they just noticed we bought gf). Ie staff appear trained in allergies etc. Which is not the case with the competition. Thankyou

It's a very clean shop. Staff are doing a amazing job with lockdown. Every trolley is being cleaned off as soon as it gets back. They are offering mask for anybody that doesn't have one. Bloody good job New World Stanmore

Really enjoy new world stanmore they are a stand out for the east side sticking to true new world values while not compromising on making the eastside feel lost they work hard to keep shelves stocked and no undesirable produce stays hanging around they have beautiful naked produce aswell as option for others and you might even spot a bit of veal on the meat shelf. Excellent products and very friendly service(as always) at reasonable prices. I used to shop at p &save but they don't have the same standard of service,range of imported items or a more 'select' environment.Plus there prices have increased so much they are no longer the cheapest supermarket ! I have always preferred New world and will continue to shop there every week. One thing though,please please send out mailers as you did became not everyone can download it on the phone. The 5 stars are actually for an item from the deli department. The Spanakopita at $6.49 caught my eye. It's large, I heated it in my toastie maker at home, and it's the same size as two decent toasties. I don't claim to be any sort of Spanakopita expert, but this is by far the best I've had. The spinach and red onion were cooked perfectly, so that even upon reheating, they were still deliciously crisp. They were also, like the cheeses, generously portioned. I almost don't want to leave this review, because I don't want to find myself going to get one, and discover that they're sold out because I was rash and foolish enough to share the secret, but it's not all about me. Treat yourself, I say. It's also a handy wee supermarket, with lots of nice, friendly staff.

Love that they have specialized foods that I can't get at the other supermarkets. I tend to use this New World like an upmarket corner dairy. Also like that I can reduce the amount of plastic I'm buying with my meat, vaccum-packed is great, no tray having to be recycled. Friendly staff.

I have found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. The store is always clean and presented well and it’s not often they are out of something I want to buy. Car parking is never an issue and it’s great they have some mini trolleys for the children. I feel that the store is never understaffed and extra check outs are opened with ease when required. New World Stanmore is an asset to the Richmond community.

This is the supermarket I use the most. It is a manageable size to negotiate and has improved significantly in the last twelve months. Prior to that, I didn't think much of the couple that took over and the husband still looks as though he's got something stopping is prostate falling out but the wife is friendly, helpful and eager to please her customer. I appreciate that a lot. Also, in the last few months, I have noticed a marked improvement with the majority of the new check out staff. A lot friendlier and helpful, with one or two exceptions. Some very nice young people working there. The deli has improved significantly and the wine pricing is very reasonable for your average supermarket wines. Keep moving in this direction Stanmore New World. You're doing well.

We have very regular dealings with New World Stanmore Road, for regular orders for our business (from Milk, to Morning Tea shouts via the Deli, etc). We deal direct with a young chap named Josh who is just incredible in terms of customer service, and is really efficient, and ensures speedy organisation and (often going the extra mile) delivery to us. Nothing is ever a problem, which during these Covid-19 times has been especially helpful to us. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
