Massive example of the franchise, more stock and variety than most others I have visited, with the same price point outdoing the competition across the board. Clean, tidy store with professional staff. Adequate Covid-19 prevention methods in place. Definitely recommend.

Great cost effective food shopping. They have pretty much all you could want with the odd exception but on the whole well worth a look see. I go here often and always find I come home with more groceries than when I shop anywhere else. Real value fore money, and let’s face it that’s what most people want.

The grocery store is just like any pak n save store. Lots of shoppers. Just don’t go here on busy hours as people don’t maintain the 2m distance required when shopping. Parkingwise, it has a big parking area and i always had a space to park even on busy hours. It also has a fuel station onsite.

Always a good place to get majority of what you need at a decent price. Staff friendly and helpful. Wouldn't shop anywhere else. Been a loyal customer over 10 years even though I live 3 minutes from another supermarket I always go out of my way to shop at Pak n save Moorhouse.

Come here early in the mornings to do my grocery shopping with my partner. During this time you can get some nice cheap bread from the other day. Prices are always the best in CHCH. Don't bother going to the Countdown down the road.

A bigbox store with very good prices, but I have noticed that the deals here are better and so is stock availability. This is no secret hence the store sees a lot of foot fall so plan your trip accordingly. Best days to shop are Wednesday and Friday as I guess that’s the day they get their fresh food and meat stock so be early and grab the best 👍.

Wow what an experience. Haven't shopped here for at least a year. Well today was a customer experience. 1. I was met at the entrance with a smile and a hello sir. 2. I watched the shelf stacking people interacting with customers and helping them with their grocery sections. 3. Delicatessen staff approached me with "good afternoon how may we help you today." I wasnt quite ready and I said as much. The lady waited while I made my selections. My products were handled well, wrapped correctly, tagged and handed to me with a smile. But wait!!!! The best is yet to come!! 4. We got to the checkout and met Lyle. Well he was interactive talked to me throughout the processing but the win was the trolley stacked properly. Goods were not only separated by department, chilled and frozen away from the fresh but also the dry goods away from the others so there was no damage. Just when you think it doesnt get any better. We went and talked to a supervisor to comment on the good service and we get more courtesy and focused customer service. This was a pleasure to shop here. Can't wait to do it again.

This is one of the best PaknSaves outthere. It has a massive squarefootage which allows for thousands of items and a great selection of grocerys for me and my large family. The affordable prices let me splash out for important events like my sons first valentine. Well i was shopping peacefully around 2 weeks ago some lady opened a bag of tiptop vegetable bread (A must buy!!!!) and threw it right at me!! For no reason!!! I didnt know what to do or say so my 3 Yr Old started to bite her ankles, Thats how i raised him. Hes definitely my son. This event has made me understand how terrible people are, why throw a piece of bread that could of been eaten, a big waste. I still will give the best paknsave a 5 stars due to the amazing staff and cleaness of the shop.

I love this packnsave its abot far from where we live but they have good deals and specials on there products. When we are on this side of town we shop here . Yes I would recommend shopping here

I ALWAYS friendly, helpful, clean, Ok, they don't and can't stock everything, people want all the time, but if they don't have it ( gluten free gingernuts, sago, tapioca, semolina,) Countdown is not far away and they're bound to have what P n S doesn't, and a lot more, especially GF supplies.

Nearest and most accessible pak'n save in the city. They have variety of promotions and they always serve fresh goods! Pak'n save is considered to be the cheapest grocery store, but sometimes the prices seen in this particular supermarket is the same with the price of their competitor. If you will compare the prices of the goods, I think generally pak'n save will definitely help you save money.

Good for specials and bargains. . Often busy though and difficult to navigate a trolley through the popular aisles.. Fresh produce is okay.. but not good quality, seems to have been frozen in transit.. Do not buy pears , nectarines and peaches here. Avos are hit and miss ..probably been squeezed to death by other customers. Ambrosia apples are a good buy here

Always great. I often come in to get a few things and end up with a trolley full because of the specials. I recently called in for an emergency bottle of my favourite wine. It was reduced from $13.50 to $10.50. I bought it and then used the receipt to fill up my car, so the wine only cost $6:50. The staff are great. Lots of them, big smiles. A writer in one of these reviews complained that a "young Philippine supervisor" was racist for doing her/his job. Can anybody spot the racism in their complaint?

I think their grocery buyer must be very savvy. There is always a few things on short-dated super-duper special that make great treats. This week there were biscuits that are normally about $4 for just $1, that are packed in 4 servings --just an awesome thing for teenage school lunches. All the other products seem well priced too. I usually buy produce at a greengrocer but PaknSav is not too bad for random extras.

It wasn't too busy today. Was heading to the competition but went past here and stopped. Some good specials. Alot of the specials were not the healthiest. Always seem to spend more here than at Count....I mean the competition. A few of staff members standing around chatting by the bread, actually standing in the way. Not one of these men said hello. The checkout lady was friendly. Unfortunately she stacked my raw beef on top of my raw chicken. Always a concern for cross contamination. Probably will shop here again. We don't have many choices.

Huge store with a fantastic range of products. Every time I've ever had to deal with the staff they have been super lovely and are always keen to help. They also have a store greeter, so you've always get a warm, welcome smile. A new recent feature they've added is "Shop n go", which makes shopping so much smoother and easier. This is my preferred supermarket in Christchurch.

I couldn't find the items that I usually buy from Westfield PaknSave. Quite large building, but most of the shelves are filled with similar products. Less variety and takes more time to finish the shopping. Good point is cheaper meat products and the free coffee.

Other than that it was all good. As the the customer service, we expect to the customer service personnel standing by could help us find the location for wrapping paper but she didn't know where it was located.

This is quite a busy store on Moorhouse Avenue. It is one of the bigger PAK'nSSAVE stores in Christchurch and provides a great shopping experience. Prices of many items are a bit lesser than other stores, so it offers great value for money. Shopping trolleys here are newer than at other locations and more billing counters are operational here than at other PAK'nSAVE stores. We can find pretty much everything one would expect to find at a supermarket, here. The parking space outside this store is huge.

Reasonably accessible (some shelves are quite high) but very busy/popular. So if you have mobility issues best to go on a Monday or Tuesday morning when it's quieter. Good range of specialty products (allergen free, vegan/vegetarian) in one place rather than having to drive around town to different branches of (competitor) to see who has this product and who has another. No service deli (anymore) though which is a bummer.

Very large area of parking and in the times I went I never struck an issue of finding a space. Inside it has massive amounts of space if you are waiting to enter but once in the aisles, it is best to approach it with the finesse of a destruction derby driver. The aisle layout does not allow manged flow through nor is there sufficient space if all the check outs are full. Selection of groceries is vast as you would find a PaknSave.

Pack n Save when they were the cheapest in town were by no means cheap and their prices have increased do much with certain items that they are equal to other supermarket,such as New World and when they have specials,r cheaper than the socalled PacknSave ' cheapest. I now prefer to shop at New World because I'm not saving much money and they have a better range of imported items and shopping in a more select and smaller place is a far more pleasant experience than in a 'barn' where 'undesirables' shop. Pack save need to drastically reduce their prices to induce people like me to shop there again !!

I've always found this shop to be good value & the staff here are generally very good. Today I went in to get a bit of breakfast as my vehicle was being serviced early @ Ssangyong & I went in to Pak n Slave & found they were having a WACKY WEDNESDAY which equals out to really cheap stuff in selected items. So I got my breaky 🍳🥘 & a bit more besides & after the service I went back for more lol, yes i was very happy with my savings & i picked up a couple of other items as well. The place was very busy second time around but that's ok i wasn't in a hurry. The parking was on the whole fairly full but if you look around you can always find something & mine of the parks are too far away. This shop has both the large wheeled trolley & the small type.

This is the best supermarket in Christchurch, they have the largest selection of items and produce not only in the heart of the city but the city as a whole. Parking can be a bit of a pain at times but generally it's good.

Pak n' Save Moorhouse was nice tidy and a great place to shop. We don't have the shop as you go here in auckland so that was cool to see. the plastics and labelling in produce seems a little overboard.

Has basically everything you need, carpark can be difficult at times to get around due to layout, would love a footpath out the front of the store so customers have somewhere to walk while getting to their vehicles and not having to dodge cars. Choosing day and time to visit would be recommended as it is difficult to pop in and pop out during peak hours. Have to allow approx 1 hour during peak times.

Great value and excellent service. One time I accidentally left $100 in the ATM. I enquired about it the next week, the manager tracked down the CCTV footage of me at the ATM and we established that the money was swallowed back up by the machine, I was able to follow it up with the bank and I got my money back. Another time I emailed them questioning the gendered language of the "Handyman" section of the store. They responded straight away, and had changed the signage within a week and reviewed the rest of their stores nationwide. It does get busy at peak times, but I avoid that by going early morning.

Store was clean. Good selection. Staff friendly. Don't freak out if you see people with bare feet. It's normal in NZ. Lots of products that were different. Eggs not refrigerated here and the grade is not the quality it's the size. So a grade 8 is a bigger egg than a grade 7. Some products here expensive but most are a good price. NZ has excellent icecream and milk and cream for coffee. Also eggs are sold in different quantities than Canada like 10 or 4. Milk comes in different sizes too like 3 litres.

Best grocery bargains in town especially during sticky club card week or on wacky Wednesday! There's plenty of car parking space and it does get really busy when there are specials going on but that's expected so be prepared for that. Remember to bring your own grocery bags otherwise you can just purchase new ones in store.

This is the Pak’nSave to end all Pak’nSave’s! The shop is pretty much at New World standards. Staff are great and there are always a lot of them. Stock levels are always good. Layout can take a while to get used to.

I can't fault their customer service. My partner and I were greeted late last night with a smile at checkout by the operator, had a genuine conversation with us, and she packed our groceries! I couldn't see her badge, nor asked for a receipt, but she was a supervisor judging by her uniform, (and extremely tall!). Their staff in general are great.

Loads of car parking going in. Enter the shop to a greating from a cheery member of staff. Continue around the shop with plenty of room in the aisle considering the amount of people in the shop. Good selection of various foods to select at reasonable prices. With the odd treat included. The operator riku s served me with a smile and good conversation. Got a free coffee and 40c off a litre petrol voucher with my purchase. Sticky club card added to the great food shopping experience.

Always busy, guess it’s great for the business, however they could possibly make some improvements for the products arrangements. Less pack and crowded for customers to shop. Bakery session was a bit of lacking in bread options. As I usually get the breads I like from another paknsave. Cashier staff was friendly and helpful. On another note, would appreciate some free fruits for kids like shopping at countdown, my nephew usually knows he’ll get a banana/apple that makes him happy shopping with us! Bringing little children to shop isn’t easy sometimes, should be an impact with a little help from the store would be great!

This is a good store that has a good variety of specials. I find that this store has the lowest prices out of the pack and saves. And having the sticky cards that gives further discounts outs on fuel and the ability to fill up on site after doing the shopping. Ways to improve would be cup holders in trolleys and cheap coffee offered at the start of a shop not after . Massive ups to the team at Pak'nsave Moorhouse. I was keen to give the Shop'nGo experience a go, but a bit nervous after googling lots of negative reviews plus the risk of standing out in the early morning cold. BUT so glad I stuck with it. I'm almost certainly the least organised person on the planet, plus my natural anxiety with new experiences. But after two shops I am a convert. The staff have been so positive and patient and encouraging. In two shops I must admit I forgot a couple of items as I've adjusted to it, or items were on clearance sale. The hustling & bustling Moorhouse Ave bleeds beautifully onto the Pak'nSave carpark. It's big, it's busy. But you will always get a park. Inside the store, the ceiling is immensely high. The foyer and each aisle is incredibly spacious. The prices are ludicrously low. The stock never runs out. You will never have a gripe about any of its wonderful staff members. Go there. If you cannot find an article staff always take you to it without any hesitation. There vegetable section is always fresh. I have been shopping at Countdown because I love click and collect. But to try and save money I went back to PNS. I just don't like being in this one much. I don't know if its because there are always a lot of people around who just seem discourteous, the aisles are a bit overwhelming or if it's frustration that stuff I want is frequently missing off the shelf. Also I have got chicken from here twice that has gone off before the best before, horrid rotten smell. I find Wainoni better, and the scan as you go is great there. Bring in click and collect please PNS, would be so much better!

It's pak'n save. Like the name says, it's cheap so you shop here to save money. They almost always have the cheapest prices and the shops are always big so you can find almost everything in there. Furthermore, in this case, cheaper doesn't mean less quality. You'll find the same brands in here as in the New World, but where New World spends a lot of money on a nice looking shop, Pak 'n Save puts its effort in lowering the prices. Try it, its good!

(with the exception of the freshly roasted chickens they have at the Lower Hut store) It serves a wide variety of ethnic groups so has a broader range of foods than most PAK'nSAVEs. The impeccable displays of all the specials allowed me to quickly get some deals in my basket I would not have thought of buying otherwise, upon arriving home I was perplexed at some of my decisions but still absolutely satisfied they were nothing less than a bargain. I have never seen so many packets of Doritos stacked in a pile so enormous I had a wee sense of being on holiday in Egypt again. Unfortunately as my shopping comrade grabbed one bag a whole heap fell on the floor, I was transcended to the ruins Afghanistan. Upon helping pick them up I may or may not have ended up with a pack or 2 in my basket, but they were a bargain.the staff were straight to help and extremely pleased as always. Paknsave.We all love doing the weekly shop or run in to buy the odd little thing. I find since they have finshed the repairs the shop is alot better , more room to move and alot more space for those prams and for us old focks to move .I find there fruit range is in one area and u are not knocking into people .There range of meats at the deli yum.So if its for your weekly shop or to get the family the odd little thing i hope u enjoy shopping there as much as i do
