R.Great selection. If you like cooking Indian food or curries in general Yogiji should be your go to. Amazing spices and very affordable. Much tastier than the stuff you'll get from a normal supermarket. Not to mention there are so many other awesome items you won't find anywhere else; to take you on a journey in your own kitchen.
d.Great options are available in both in-store and online delivery. Wish they offered fresh/frozen vegetables in their online delivery like Bombay Bazaar does. Customer service is really dependant on who you meet at the counter. Some are rude and not helpful.

Great to find spices and foods not traditional to a "kiwi" diet.
I love the very fresh coriander and egg plant varieties.
I love their 'home made' potato and pea samosas. And the relish wow gives it an amazing kick and beautiful flavor.
M.Variety of Indian food. Bit pricey compared to other competitors but has many products not available elsewhere nearby. Neat and tidy always.
Their fresh Punjabi samosa disappoints.

I.A great place to buy your asian spices and groceries. Make sure to double check prices when billing as I have had couple of errors which was rectified immediately .
S.We shop here a few times a year and it is always well stocked, organized, and priced. The staff are happy to help and seem knowledgeable. Always check the due dates on items as, at times, things on special are either too close to the due date or about to expire. They would also benefit from having a range in the sizes of plastic bags. They would also benefit from some loyalty programs for repeat customers etc...
n.It is an average shopping experience. The most common choice among Indians and Sri Lankans i guess for their local groceries. Usually when ever I visit there, 2 out of 4 cashiers functioned. Parking space would be an issue, it is usual as many shop there.

N.It is a place where you will get all types of groceries of Asian country. Now they have added new variations in their products . Price is reasonable and large in space. Good parking spaces are available onsite. We those who miss their own home country will get here a smell of home brand product far from own country.
N.Great Indian and Sri Lankan food store. Fresh stuff wasn't as fresh and looked old and past it. Loved the amazing selection of products. Only 4 stars as a frozen item I got was past use by date which explained why it wasn't as nice as I had tasted same product from a different store.

M.Largest Indian supermarket in Christchurch, Yogiji's have most of the ingredients for Indian dishes. They have products for people from all over India, for North, south, east and Western cusine. Also holds good variety of Snacks, sweets cookies, frozen fmcg products.
Milk is cheap, always have Deals on Yogurt, Bread

Z.The selection of spices were excellent. As for the frozen items, three types of vegetables were fantastic, and it ranges from middle Eastern, Indian or Asian based cooking styles. You could also find frozen Indian delicacies, cakes and sweet biscuits.. As for parking spaces, it was spacious and safe.
J.I go here to get ready prepared Indian meals and popaddoms. It is nice walking around the store looking at all the interesting offerings. It is well supplied and stocked. Also a section with pots and cooking utensils.Today I noticed in the freezer section Indian styled wraps. Look delicious. Had some fresh made samosa today - spicy and delicious and a nice after tingle. Good parking outside the store or in the South City car park.
V.You can get almost every indian products. Make sure to check expiry date before you buy any stuff. there is no car parking as the store is busy most of the times. Good customer service only thing missing in staff is smile on the face.

Positives : good selection of Indian foods, spices, frozen food products etc.
If you are new to cooking you can find heat to eat food here which is fantastic.
The only thing that I don't like that sometimes the packed food is too near to expiration date and the packets of instant noodles like Maggie sometimes have a tiny hole which kind of makes them stale and unappetizing for me.. This is what I found to be a negative point.
However it does not take away the positive side of having a good Indian grocery store which satisfy all the needs of Indian cooking and more.. Just look at the dates and pack and you will be fine

C.This is a great place to get my dry staples like buckwheat, basmati, lentils and spice for my tea - all cheaper than the big chain supermarkets. And the foil packed curries ( dahl makani , palek paneer yumm) are a great easy dinner and great tramping food.

A.It's an Indian food specialty supermarket. Bright and well stocked. I personally enjoy the peanut rice snacks. They have hot samosas as well.

T.One of the best Indian stores. I go there especially for their Masala tea which they serve from behind the counter. Everyone there is very helpful. It feels like family there since it is not too large of a store. I love the smells when I walk in.
P.Great store for Indian groceries but they need to manage their inventory as many products are close to their best before date (exp date) when I say close I mean within days. So one need to be very careful with what they pick up.

M.The best Indian Supermarket in Christchurch. They stock a good variety of products and service is fast and pleasant. Their spiced snacks are great for parties and drink nights.

V.An awesome place to shop for South East Asian groceries. Excellent products, helpful staff, and good service. Consistent price.
D.The owner is really cool. He taught me how to make my own mango lassy. Good vibe and staff will answer any questions you have. The value of the boil in bag currys is huge. You try to find cheaper. They twigged me onto home delivery which saves me a drive from well out of town. I drive in anyway just because it is cool to chat with them about all things Indian.

A.Opportunist, I would say. No offers no special deals, no loyalty program. The reason is that it is one of the oldest indian grocery store in Christchurch. But due to several other stores having started recently, their customer base have decreased. Quality wise, no doubt. Top quality food items. But they should consider to have some loyalty program. I don't remember if I have saved even one cent in my three years of shopping from this place.
N.I cook Indian vegetarian food at home sometimes and this is a good place to get a wide range of Indian ingredients.
G.I buy SriLankan foods here and indian spices. Always buy rice because it is the cheapest in town.
Beware when you buy vegetables. Last time I bought snake gourd but it was really bitter. Even bitter than bitter gourd. I asked for refund but refused straight away. Not a good experience though.

G.Busy busy busy. Proper Indian food wholesalers. But open to the public. Can buy essential Stuff such as plain yogurt or ginger/garlic mix for half the price of the supermarket.
D.Good range of products to select, price wise some products are pricey and make sure to check the receipt. Staff needs more training to help customers.

A.Good Indian Grocery Store, has plenty of options. But sometimes the prices are a bit steep otherwise it tops all the other Indian grocers in town.

k.Wide range of stuff can be purchased. Just be cautious and check for the expiry dates, they always sell lot of expired stuff. Infact after saying alot of times I still see expired products on sale. Produce section is very small and not maintained properly. Staff are friendly and helpful.
