Great helpful and happy staff members and checkout operators. Store was well stocked clean and covid rules adhered too by a cheerful guy at main door....what was not nice to see was a big local guy spitting and cough up phlegm why waiting in the line to get in and when someone asked him to use a tissue his swore his head off. Disgusting behaviour.

They have a wonderful selection of meats, mostly grass fed. The fruits left a little to be desired as a lot of shelf space was empty and looking sparse. The cashiers were friendly and the checkout process was good. It is a massive footprint for such a small town but I guess locals from pretty far away come to this location. Photos as of feb 2020.

Due to less staff, I wasn't able to opt for home delivery for over 2 months now. So I had to visit the store to shop. Quite a few products were unavailable due to stock and some more were showing available online as being in store but I couldn't find the items like Tegel chargrilled chicken steaks, Only Organic chicken risotto baby food etc. Was disappointed with the condition of some of the produce and in store bakery. The crossaints are stale for the full price. The lady at the check-out was great and that was the only highlight of my shopping in-store at countdown Dargaville on this trip.

Love the layout and friendly staff but what has your bakery done to the ciabatta rolls. They are nothing like ciabatta bread. They are just like ordinary bread buns with slightly brown flour used Please return to the correct recipe or don’t label these as ciabatta. Small complaint to an otherwise great store

Have not been to dargaville in years and it is amazing how much this countdown has transformed. it is a beautiful supermarket and you would be none the wiser to assume it is presented like a Grey Lynn Auckland countdown with everything immaculate and beautifully presented. Enjoyed shopping here with ease and locals constantly acknowledging each other and saying hi.

A very good supermarket for a town the size of Dargaville. Looks like something you would find in a city. That being said they have a smaller fish selection and lack some brands so I can't give it five stars but smaller populations explain that. And really they have 95% of the things you would want.

How great was it ...,on first time for ordering oline..to see the van pull up outside,the day was wet and depressing.there to great us was our very happy delivery man,yellow crates in hand,,and a HUGE smile on his face. all packed and well able to see what was what..A BIG THANKYOU..COUNTDOWN DARGAVILLE..I will be back.,,cheers..... Got most of what we expect....fruit and Vgis needs to be chucked out at times as it is already limp or yellow...for overpriced products I at least expect top top quality !!!!. ..I wish we had a decent Fruit and Vegi store in town...never enyoy bying fruit and veg in Supermarket. ..never really fresh...dearer than everywhere else...some staff really get my back up. In there..either total ignore you or can't be even boddered asking if they can help you behind the lotto counter specially she snobs you old bag...stay home leave your dour face there...great to see the Italian pasta making it here deco love that one and the lavazza coffee. ..

It;'s great having a nice new spacious countdown store to shop in Dargaville. There is a lot more choice of products now with more shelf space available. I would like to see more Home Brand products on the shelves especially Canned Peaches as they are good quality and very reasonable priced. A huge Thankyou to Countdown Dargaville. Our lovely friend Shirley from Dargaville turned 60 today. A few of us did an online order to send Shirl a Countdown delivery so she could receive some bubbles and some goodies including balloons to our lovely friend. When Countdown Darg. Found out they offered to put our goodies in a basket with a card and blew up the balloons and delivered it. This was way more than we expected. They went above and more to give our lovely friend a great birthday on her own in her bubble. Thankyou so so much. Jackie

I bought some cheese which ended up being mouldy but l didnt realize this until l arrived home in Auckland as l was taking the shopping to a Luncheon. I phoned the store and the manager was apologetic. He said he would put a voucher in the pist and l thought yea right. I was pleasantly surprised when the voucher did arrive in the post two days later. I normally stop there to pick up groceries on my way up to the Hokianga.

This countdown in a small town in northern New Zealand inexplicably had La Croix, a product I have never seen outside of the United States. Not in sprawling metropolitan Auckland or hipster Wellington....yet, here we are on a roadie up to the cape... and there on the shelves, like a shining fizzy beacon of nostalgia, La Croix! Countdown, you've made this wandering American a very happy camper indeed.
