Great store for all your Asian food needs Always friendly and helpful, this store is a Dunedin institution. They make their own tofu on site, best tofu ever (and I'm not generally a fan of tofu). Also great place to get fresh coriander, water cress, etc. Some of the slower moving stock might be past 'best before' dates, but generally not a problem. Huge range of dried foods as well as well stocked freezers.

Good selection of Asian ingredients but must watch out for expiry date. Often expired or very closed to expire. But they have very fresh store made tofu. Cheap and good Tofu.

I been here many times and the tofu is so good but the bean sprouts are hard to eat you have to keep chewing on them for ages. Lots of variety here

The most comprehensive well stocked Asian Grocery Store in Dunedin. It is fully packed to the brim with every imaginable Asian grocery item you can think of. The owner is very helpful if you have any questions. The price is reasonable and they are willing to repack if you only need a small quantity. This is where I buy my Filipino, Japanese, Indonesian and other goodies twice a month. It is cheaper buying your spices here than at the big box grocery store. They have meat alternatives for vegans. A place that is delightful to explore and find hard to find ingredients.

Lots of choices but beware how they tally your purchases cuz the old man will overcharge you whenever he can. I paid $80 for purchases totaling only 60 and discovered the surprise much much later. He claimed checkout completed so can't print receipt.

Awesome place to get all kinds of Asian food

Soy beans, noodles galore, various coloured rices, home made tofu, vegetables, spices, tempeh and loads more for healthy eaters and vegans. The place is packed with exotic groceries at great prices.

I only go there to normally get Tofu and Bean Sprouts. They are all good. Easy parking outside and normally not so busy so very convenient.

Lots of Asian groceries, especially from Philippine, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Most of them are canned, bottles, vacuum bag and plastic tight packages. If you are particularly interested in chillies then you would in disappointed. You would find many different variety from different countries. You could actually experiment your taste buds to specific twists. There are also some near fresh but refrigerated fruits, fishes, or meat products that might challenge your wild imagined dishes that if you there to dream. Best of luck.

The best Asian groceries store in Dunedin (stock heaps-always available) . There's plenty of FREE car parks including 4 lots in front of the shop. Owner always smile and helpful. Just few blocks away from Pak n Sav. Highly recommended.
