Highly recommended to visitors like me : Few times visiting at the past 3 years. 👍 Fresh Vege always and great stock management compare to some of the P n save👏 such like Queenstown one has rotten fruit always 👎 At here, Parkings are so easy too. I believe all staff been working hard for Pak’n save Dunedin, thank you team. ❤

There are a large number of daily necessities and food, but also a variety of fruits and vegetables and fruits, all kinds of meat such as pork, chicken, beef, lamb and so on, as well as various seafood are placed on the displ丨ay cabinet, guests can choose, the price is relatively flat and appropriate, the service is also better!

Good prices, excellent veges BUT.......the deli is horrible and the bakery has been down graded below average, even the fish department is now just shelves. Seems like these areas have become single use plastic dumping grounds.

Nice regulation large Pak N Save store in the city. Located very conveniently on one of the main streets in the city. The aisles are very wide are compared to some Auckland stores, which makes for easy and relaxed shopping experience. The staff are nice and helpful. Complete range of products is available at all times. Lots of parking is available in the store premises. Deals and specials are always going on, which attract more customers. An ATM machine is also available for quick cash withdrawal. Overall very nice and recommended.

I shop there mainly because I think their fruit and vege department is usually excellent and well priced. Meat department is excellent, store is clean, staff helpful and I am satisfied that overall products are affordable.

Honestly, the stickman made me laugh so I went out of my way to shop here. Great service, everything was clean and the checkout staff were very professional when mum brought me beer and we had to confirm our relatively. Epic.

The dirtiest looking pak n save I have been to, the floor always looks gross. Has a great bakery, but overall one of the most tired, and unappealing pak n saves around. The staff don't look that happy either. Great prices though.

One of the best Pak n Saves I've ever been too. Level 3. Clean and tidy, helpful staff. Sanitizing the convoyer belts after every shopper. Wide aisles and plenty of different brands to choose from

I like coming in the evening due to my social anxiety…sort of less crowded but enough that I can handle with my headphones on and fidget toys in my pocket. Staff are friendly and professional as heck and quite understanding which I’m thankful for since I’m new to the city with my two children.

I'm enjoying the scan and go shopping. Love not having to unpack the trolley and then pack it into bags and load in the car. Much easier to pack as you go. Lovely staff

Love the shop and go system they have!!! Love being able to pack my bags as a shop and not have to worry about the checkouts. You're able to see your Total while shopping, price check items and skip any queues you would have to be in at the checkouts. They also have great cheap deal, deffinatly my place to shop!!

Love the shop to go option. Once the scanner is selected by your PaknSave card, you scan in your own products, it keeps a running tally of your shopping. You can remove products if you found something cheaper. Be careful to scan all products in your trolly .

Very friendly staff who show you where products are with no hesitation even getting down from ladder thing. Love their in house bakery at South Dunedin store it may not be as flash as Timaru or Frankton but I go for the bakery

It was absolute bedlam in the store today. All checkouts were in full operation but still the queues were long. All promotional items had a strict limit on them to slow down hoarding but thankfully the customers I passed were being polite. The team was working hard but still managed to have a polite conversation during their work.

A nice day brings out nice people, an that would be their staff. Very pleasant to be around an they process your groceries with speed and efficiency. The shelving is placed in a way that, there is no interference from other shoppers. Not bad.

Staff need to be a little friendlier at the checkouts, most don't talk to u, if I see a lady named Judith on I will go down her checkout cos she is always friendly and helpful and she always reminds me to use my sticky club and keeps me up to date on how much fuel I have saved. Need more like her on the tills.

Like any average Pak'nSave - sometimes they have okay deals with vegetables and meat. But mainly cheap for junk food. I would suggest to hold onto those receipts! The prices can turn out to be completely different at the checkout.

Parking wasn't easy as usual when I go. Not the best layout. If you don't like the smell of fish then shop elsewhere.. Prices are ok. Staff not overly friendly. Good if you like Pak n Save. I'm not a regular.

Wide range of products, fruit & vege selection is good. It has a big car park that's shared with The Warehouse. There are public toilets on Hillside Rd. Staff are friendly and there's always boxes to pack groceries in if needed. The aisles are wide but the layout of products is confusing.

I made a special trip back into the store as a van had its lights left on and thought it would be a courtesy to announce this, was told no as people don't go turn their lights off, as I say it is only courtesy a few words in a microphone that takes little time, so even if they don't turn them off a helpful hand has at least been extended AH! Boss.....

Pak n Save, where the every day low prices are dearer than the week before and some of the staff have a habit of being in the way when you try and get something off the shelf. One major downside to Pak n Save is the lack of variety, if you want more variety, head to Countdown, but you'll pay quite a bit more.

Not as cheap as believed and since the changes in-store, lots of products have disappeared. So less choices especially in sugarfree. Also finding items harder as no longer logical, baking items over 3 areas and cleaning items over 2, personal cares in 3 different areas

Good veriety of goods, as most supermarkets do. Pretty good savings. One thing I have noticed, they've changed the way they package things - meat especially. By making larger packs, one is basically forced to spend more getting a bigger pack than originally needed. Personally I feel this is a clever profiteering angle. However that's only my opinion. Other than that I find P&S pretty good place to shop.

very big superstore and lots of products. some of the products here are very competitive, meaning its a good deal. Although you need some learning to do to know how to locate the things that you want, they are worth it. One of the biggest improvement is the shelves at the entrance has a small opening on the left side to let people get back there if they miss out at the begining, which is very, very good. Well thought out by the mgmt.

Witnessed staff here totally understand an awkward situation for a Mum with sick child. Whilst Mum took child to bathroom they kept her trolley moving in line, processed and packed her shop so when she was ready she could check out and go home. Was really great to see.

Parking could be challenging at times. Entering and exiting from Hillside requires patience. The trolleys are bigger compared to other supermarkets and I feel that even if I want to save monies by shopping here, I always end up buying more than I planned originally. The price is lower in this supermarket but I don't often shop here for that reason. Be ready to pack your own shopping and bring your own bag. Using their plastic bag will cost you per bag.

Definitely the budget supermarket in town. Always busy and a huge range of products. I wouldn't recommend going with little children as managing crowds and the packing yourself is a handful without little people to look out for as well.

Some products are consistently out of stock but I guess that's a supplier issue. A few products that you'd expect them to stock they don't. End up going round to Countdown for those very few things.

I always find Saturday afternoon around 1pm is the best time to shop, the checkouts aren't to full and the younger crew are on so they are slightly faster at getting you through. Always good prices

Cheapest supermarket of them all, produce quality has increased to almost perfect considering we export all our best produce, very helpful in giving direction to what you are looking for, easy to get through checkout at the right times, parking can be a hassle but there is always a park, you may just need to walk a little further and wheelchair access parks are often taken by people without a permit.

Great staff who are having to support loss prevention colleagues on a daily basis...apprehending Dunedin residents and others that are persistent thieves. Everything from a knife welding thief to one intoxicated lady who dropped booze creating a hazard. Another female fleeced Pak n Save then deliberately self harmed outside. Give it up thief's.

I'm a local so I do my weekly shop here. The layout is known to me, staff are helpful when politely approached there is a barista beside the lotto outlet so you can get a hot chocolate if you really need one. The best thing about Pak n save is they share a carpark with the warehouse. That means there is a lot of parking and you can do 2 shops at once. three if you count pizza hut, 50m from pak n save front door.

PAKnSAVE is great. Low prices means that your trolly fills up without having to give ur wallet and left leg. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpfull. The store is set out well, so its easy to find whatever you are looking for. The produce, meat, seafood, deli and bakery departments always have real fresh food, ( i really recommend the chocolate danish at the bakery!! )

Cheap place to shop. However two many rude mothers with prams who think they own the place and quite often ram you in the back of the legs with the apram and don't have the decency to apologise. Also alot of people are to lazy to park the car in normal parks and walk to the door of the supermarket so they park in the disabled car parks that are reserved for disabled permited people only watch means we can't use them and quite often have to park far away which is not good for us.
