Reasonable prices.ask if you cannot find a product staff helpful can sometimes give an indication when product will be on shelves or if discontinued.covid has affected stores.
R. L.Lot of space between aisle and checkout counter. We found many items cheaper than other big supermarket. Quite convenient place for shopping. The Countdown Chartwell is on the ground floor of Chartwell mall. There are other shops and cinema in the mall. It is a one stop shopping centre. We occasionally shop here and we find that most items are available under one roof. We struggle to find coconut milk but it is always there.
J. H.Good friendly staff, ample parking, near by a Mall entrance so not too far to walk the groceries to your car. The store has everything (when stocked) like others but the store fit out is showing its age and lighting is a bit darker when comparing to other Countdown stores. Recommending a visit nxt time you are at Chartwell Mall.
T. F.Great in mall option to grab a few items while out shopping. Because the shelves are so close together it's hard to find things and your always bumping into other people. Wonderful customer service every time.

K. B.My Go-2 Store. The new set-out had me at odds but as time goes on, it kind of gets easier - kind of. Don't quote me on it yet. I've been coming here since the 80's and this store is home. Staff are friendly and I find Chartwell has the BEST seafood/fish deals in the city! Kā pai 👍
M.It's ok, most other countdowns in Hamilton are better, this ones all designed wrong and kinda dont know where anything is.

L.They must be doing a bit of renovation at the moment as there are shelves of goods being put up in the middle.It is different for people with trolleys to pass through and the place is very crowded with shelves. Some goods have been moved from their usual place to elsewhere.
Now the renovation is over and everything is fine !

R.I've just moved and with some reservations I made my way to chart well Countdown...I was /am amazed! Bb beautifully clean and we'll laid out. Wide isle on entrance, easy to navigate,. Friendly folk and staff. Good selection of different products and fresh fish. A joy, I've been 4 days in a row and love it! Thanks!

the front desk staff can be useless depending on who you get but for the most part theyre lovely,
if theyre not already at the collection desk however, you'll be waiting a bloody long time before someone decides to finally come over and see if you need help
S. M.I find the split aisle system a bit harder to navigate and the placing of cheese / butter aisle would make more sense if it were by the freezers. Other than that, great store. Friendly staff, convenient parking and being in the mall it's handy if you need other things too.

K. S.The staff here are lovely. This is our local super market. Good specials most weeks and quality food. You can normally find an empty isle instead of having to pile your trolly full of groceries on the tiny area around the self service checkout. Parking can sometimes be sad.

s. s.Great place to shop easy owners need to get a carpenter to design a pull out slider for the deli trays so the ladies don't have to reach over the food to fill the pots it's a simple fix that would save alot of frustration

H. L.The layout in this shop is vastly different to the standard countdown layout, but others have started changing to this layout so... Trend setting? I find it harder to locate what I need in this little shop, but they are invariably better stocked with the products I usually purchase in comparison to claudlands countdown. Very convenient for movie snacks. Covered parking is also a plus for rainy days!

M. T. (.Has limited stock here, so you either get into store early or shop somewhere. Most evenings are busy then calms down, some may find it easier if you are at home during the day, try to do all your shopping before afterschool or traffic peak hour, it's really the craziest time.

E. B.Good on you Countdown Chartwell for making shopping slots available to the elderly. But it seems that other Countdown stores are not? Just cannot get a slot for 85 year old MIL in Te Awamutu. Tried for 3 days and gave up. Shopped and drove her groceries from Hamilton.
