K.Good access .good parking. Fresh produce. Helpful staff.
Reasonable prices.ask if you cannot find a product staff helpful can sometimes give an indication when product will be on shelves or if discontinued.covid has affected stores.
R.Lot of space between aisle and checkout counter. We found many items cheaper than other big supermarket. Quite convenient place for shopping. The Countdown Chartwell is on the ground floor of Chartwell mall. There are other shops and cinema in the mall. It is a one stop shopping centre. We occasionally shop here and we find that most items are available under one roof. We struggle to find coconut milk but it is always there.
J.Good friendly staff, ample parking, near by a Mall entrance so not too far to walk the groceries to your car. The store has everything (when stocked) like others but the store fit out is showing its age and lighting is a bit darker when comparing to other Countdown stores. Recommending a visit nxt time you are at Chartwell Mall.
T.Great in mall option to grab a few items while out shopping. Because the shelves are so close together it's hard to find things and your always bumping into other people. Wonderful customer service every time.
V.Usually very busy. Good range of products. Staff is friendly.
Parking of 4h as a part of the mall parking.

K.My Go-2 Store. The new set-out had me at odds but as time goes on, it kind of gets easier - kind of. Don't quote me on it yet. I've been coming here since the 80's and this store is home. Staff are friendly and I find Chartwell has the BEST seafood/fish deals in the city! Kā pai 👍
M.It's ok, most other countdowns in Hamilton are better, this ones all designed wrong and kinda dont know where anything is.

L.They must be doing a bit of renovation at the moment as there are shelves of goods being put up in the middle.It is different for people with trolleys to pass through and the place is very crowded with shelves. Some goods have been moved from their usual place to elsewhere.
Now the renovation is over and everything is fine !

S.Very tidy and clean. The store has a crisp fresh feel with no isle stacking on the floor. A real pleasure to shop at and staff are friendly.
R.I've just moved and with some reservations I made my way to chart well Countdown...I was /am amazed! Bb beautifully clean and we'll laid out. Wide isle on entrance, easy to navigate,. Friendly folk and staff. Good selection of different products and fresh fish. A joy, I've been 4 days in a row and love it! Thanks!

the front desk staff can be useless depending on who you get but for the most part theyre lovely,
if theyre not already at the collection desk however, you'll be waiting a bloody long time before someone decides to finally come over and see if you need help
S.I find the split aisle system a bit harder to navigate and the placing of cheese / butter aisle would make more sense if it were by the freezers. Other than that, great store. Friendly staff, convenient parking and being in the mall it's handy if you need other things too.
R.My first visit to this store and the staff are so friendly and very helpful. I moved from Auckland and its very refreshing to have such awesome service. Thanks Chartwell staff, keep up the awesomeness!
K.The staff here are lovely. This is our local super market. Good specials most weeks and quality food. You can normally find an empty isle instead of having to pile your trolly full of groceries on the tiny area around the self service checkout. Parking can sometimes be sad.
T.Like must countdown supermarkets well staff, but this one could do better even so I did give it five stars. Many because I like countdowns
F.Love shopping at Chartwell Mall. Everything is here plus Countdown Supermarket, BNZ Bank and the list goes on.
s.Great place to shop easy owners need to get a carpenter to design a pull out slider for the deli trays so the ladies don't have to reach over the food to fill the pots it's a simple fix that would save alot of frustration
D.Very easy to get around. As it is Pension day today perhaps more counters open would be a help.
H.The layout in this shop is vastly different to the standard countdown layout, but others have started changing to this layout so... Trend setting? I find it harder to locate what I need in this little shop, but they are invariably better stocked with the products I usually purchase in comparison to claudlands countdown. Very convenient for movie snacks. Covered parking is also a plus for rainy days!

M.Has limited stock here, so you either get into store early or shop somewhere. Most evenings are busy then calms down, some may find it easier if you are at home during the day, try to do all your shopping before afterschool or traffic peak hour, it's really the craziest time.
M.I felt this countdown was very fairly priced. I havent shopped here before but I wish I lived closer now :) thanks guys .. great to see your prices still reflect a struggling nation as I feel pak n save has forgotten lately

T.This is home ground for our household, the staff are like family, the aisles are set out where it's easy to navigate and access everything that's needed when we need it, the check out counter staff are awesome as those who man the self service check out, prices are affordable and the food...I'll let your imagination run wild with all the goodness that comes to mind, thanks Chartwell Count Down staff, more power to ya!!!
r.food at Countdown, once a week, I do look at other shops at Chartwell, Farmers, $2 shop brought a Sunhat there
T.Clean, handy for cheap drinks than buying it from the food court. Always fully stocked including lunches if you're looking to save money

E.Good on you Countdown Chartwell for making shopping slots available to the elderly. But it seems that other Countdown stores are not? Just cannot get a slot for 85 year old MIL in Te Awamutu. Tried for 3 days and gave up. Shopped and drove her groceries from Hamilton.

K.display is different to the other Countdowns, that makes it's harder to find products than the others. and here has less types of products than the other Countdown.

F.I got fresh tuna there about 2 years ago and not so good outcome so only do essential shop there , certainly never any fish !!
