Very busy countdown. Friendly service. Well stocked. One of the better shops to have stock on shelves whenever I've shopped

This is my main supermarket I go to weekly. The customer service most are very lovely and helpful, my fathers friend of many years also works here and is a very kind considerate person. Will always love this little supermarket xx

Best thing I like about this place is its very Easy approachable from the road and parking, no long walks to reach into the stores. Its a typical high standard countdown with all the unusual and rich quality products.

Clean lovly to shop always getting fresh for your buck.staff is helpful to guide you where u should be heading I normally shop an pac k save but it was getting to over crowded 🙏

Haven't been there for awhile, but it is easy to get around

Great produce section with fresh Fruit & Vegetables, not many places i would recommend over these products, but this place has so far sold the best, we've gotten so far, Cabbage lasted over a week, eaten and stored in the fridge. Baby products were fairly cheap is well, surprisingly!!!! Use to spending $80+ on Formula, Nappies, Pull Ups etc.... Only spent less than $50 on all.

Same easy to navigate Countdown as anywhere else the friendly staff was kind enough to take me through to the bathroom.

I went to Countdown to pick up a few things - I was able to find everything I needed - the staff were helpful and Non judgemental when I Really messed up the Self service machine - It wasn't a big deal for them and I was sorted out very quckly by a friendly staff member

I like it but admit i do not regularly do my households here. On walk to work, grab salad and sometimes salmon mmmmmm salmon for work lunch hihihi has never disappointed.

Always shop here. It's clean they have sanitize area if you want to, the staff are great specially the self-serve guys, they are friendly, fast, always on the ball. I've never seen them standing around looking like nothing to do. They're ALWAYS busy and keep them lines moving. Last night I left my ph at the checkout and the guy came to my truck to give it back. Thank him so much and big ups team.

Plenty of parking just after office hours. Great organized staff and store especially for Covid19 situation. Heaps of stock and reasonably replenished. Checkout was quick orderly. Two thumbs up for the team.

It was raining when I visited. Just as well my disabled mother did come with me as most of disabled parks were taken by those who didnt have a disability parking permit. Do people not realised that people pay for permits!!. Supermarkets should be policing and slapping a sticker on cars parking without permits in disability parking spaces.

Fresh produce and variety of Veges. Meat selection is limited tho. Ample parking, close to city centre and a handy distance from FMG stadium for any last minute items you might need before going to the game.

Supermarket is clean& tidy shelves are stocked well. Not many smaller trolleys Had to pack my groceries. Lady behind counter I thought was rude.

Decent sized countdown supermarket store. The location is easily accessible from the streets. Ample parking is available. The staff is nice and helpful. Complete product range is available.

All shelves were tidy and stocked. Staff members helpful. Hand sanitizer were also available in and outside.

Great range and prices, though had a rather unpleasant experience with a staff member regarding which trolleys I could use and which I could not. It was my first time at the Bridge Street Countdown, and perhaps I was at fault, but the staff member will do well to upgrade her customer interactions to.... Polite!

Easy parking. Variety galore. Only 2 check out clerks working but did have a big weight till served... 3 out of 5...

FIVE chargers for electric cars, 4 of one type and one of a different type - see photos. It's easy to find the groceries etc you want but there's no loo/toilet/lavatory for customers. The competition has them. Essential for elderly male customers.

Countdown had everything I needed and more good prices and there customer service was exceptional top notch. Keep up what yous are doing. Love how they have free fruit for the kids to eat while doing shopping

I love shopping here but I own a motorbike so I park right out front next to the disabled parking, I saw a staff member park in the disabled parking and proceed to walk inside for work... Which was rude, and inconsiderate.

Very convenient. Yummy sandwiches in deli if you need food on the go.

I liked the size of the shop and variety of stock it has. The petrol pump is next to which is even better

Can always find what i need here, usually has items you can't find at "yellow" supermarkets, this one in particular is usually pretty quiet so you can be in and out quickly. Slightly shabby on the outside but it's what's on the inside that counts. It does get busy around the holidays as per the norm with other supermarkets too.

Level 4 lockdown had no meat and was easy to get in🙄

Nice friendly helpful staff usually. Have changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars due to the two rude girls in the deli today. There body language and behaviour came across as though they thought I was an annoyance getting in the way of their work. Fingers x better service there next time.

My favourite haunt. So much space and selection. Free fruit for kids a lifesaver when trying to shop. One of the items I purchased on the 18/10 had expired on the 1/10, I phoned customer services and spoke to Hannah who said j could come in have a refund and replace for free, she also ensures the other dated stock was removed from shelves Well done countdown for handling that well and efficienctly

Always calm and relatively quiet, so you can concentrate - and it's spacious and well stocked. Staff are always friendly. The most relaxing place I've ever found to do my grocery shopping.

Service going through self serve is nearly always unfriendly. The supervisors could try hello, looking to see if lights are on and a friendly smile wouldn't hurt either. I'm almost to the point of changing supermarkets as they mostly make you feel like in imposition on their time.

i have noticed i have been charged full prices on discounted items this has happened a number of times. the fruit is average not any means fresh to international standards. customer service is good. but over all expensive and does not measure up to UK standards

Countdown Anglesea has a super annoying habit of closing the checkouts at the busiest times of day. Forcing customers to use the self service lanes. I understand their overworked and underpaid staff need a break, but it's almost like the store managers don't even shop here. Other than that, clean store, friendly staff, and average to higher priced products. Also check the original price when comparing the sale price, its not always cheaper.

A large and underpopulated store! Wide clean aisles with the usual grocery stock. A small deli and very little in the way of prepared food.

In & out in 10 minutes, found the six items I was after...easy as!

Easy access for mobility scooters and a few of the staff were very helpful. I only gave 4 star because it's not very tidy on the outside. Otherwise thanks for the smiley faces from the staff 😊

When I'm in Hamilton, 10days every 6weeks, I always shop at Countdown, Anglesea Street. The staff are great and very approachable for any help I need. Produce is fresh and we'll presented. The store is kinda old school and has beaut wide isles. I never feel under any pressure or as if I'm in someone's way in this store.

Great service from this countdown, best in hamilton. Always do click and collect, easy parking just for click and collect customers and have never had any trouble with it either!

Good for chicken feed thats all we go for too pricey otherwise not good service through self service checkouts from older lady when i got my chick feed bags I have an arm that hurts from repetive arm usage she got frustrated and angry when i asked her can i come through here without having to scan these heavy bags as thats how they do it at the other checkouts and her attitude was like she thought i was lazy as she yanked one out to scan it and just about swiped my head as I was trying to get one out then stormed off! This is disgusting customer service!

I feel sad to know that security measures are taken with some Seafood products, to ensure they make it to the Counter. In saying that: I totally understand. Good initiative Countdown👍

Large supermarket with a good range of groceries. I think it's a little more expensive than paknsave across the road but surely has a much larger range. Having the Waitomo Gas Station in its car park is a real plus; I filled up with 91 for $2.04 the other day when everywhere else was $2.14 up.

My fave supermarket in Hamilton because it's quiet. Parking is easy, waitomo fuel next door is a bonus. Although they are currently doing renovations which is not ideal as now I don't know the layout off the top of my head :( hate when supermarkets move things on me, even if it makes sense... I battle anxiety so for me the familiarity of the layout and not being crazy busy and loud are really important. I hope to learn the new layout quickly

Great store. Good selection, friendly staff, easy to find, ample parking. Management let us use the car park for the Chiefs vs Lions game, despite the signage warning towing. Legends.

This is my favourite supermarket in Hamilton for three simple reasons: there is plenty of space between the isles, it's never crazy busy, and it's always well-stocked.

Great staff but need more checkouts open. Sick of going after work and they only have 2 checkouts open and have to either wait or go through self serve with a trolley. Really annoying

The experience at this store today was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The layout wasn't as intuitive as some other stores, but the range is great.

Huge selection and always have a good variety of produce, meat and deli products. Staff are helpful and the checkouts are well staffed to help get customers through.

Got great selection of groceries and can get good discount prices, but I often find the Pak’n’Save next corner to it cheaper. It’s open from 7am to 10pm, just like Pak’n’Save.

Countdown has a much small fresh vegetables and poultry corner than Pak n Save. However, it has a larger collection of Asian items. So if you are cooking up an asian dish this is the place to go. In terms of pricing, I would say it is as competitive as Pak n Save. Frankly you probably get some items cheaper here and some cheaper there. It's hard to say depending on the promotions they have. Even if there is a price different it is pretty negligible.

Countdown is great for all the things you can't get at pak n save. Their produce is much better quality as well

Seems such a big store. Need to keep shelves stocked better though.

For some reason this branch is less crowded than the other ones. I wasn't looking for a lot of things so I can't comment much about the stock they have.

Good place to get groceries if you're in a rush this place never seems to be overly busy.

Lots of variety great for the fornightly shop also has click and collect which is great for picking up groceries after work without the hassle.
