H.The store is always clean, staff are usually very polite, helpful with a smile. Range of products very good as they cater for different religious beliefs and, diets. Granted, they can be very expensive. Differences can be too much at times and
we are usually aware of prices now
some up to 2-3 dollars more . Reason why ,I don't shop there all the time. The atmosphere is good. It is a pleasure to shop there. I am a older person and really appreciate my groceries being packed for me as I have bad shoulder issues. Thank you gor that. I will be there later today and I know it will be a stress free shop. N.A very good store they supply a great selection of fresh fruit and meat and the bakery is amazing especially the macarons.
I do occasionally have difficulty finding certain items as the layout is alittle unusual but there's often a staff member nearby that can help.
C.The best New World i have seen. Great bakery section. Love their fancy cakes which are decently priced too.

R.Plenty of parking when I went and a friendly person gives you a freshly wiped down trolley as you enter the store. Masks were worn by all. Great selection, clean and friendly.
S.Great service, very COVID-19 compliant. They have staff at the door orgainising customers Entering and existing, cleaning every trolley before use. Etc.
But unfortunately the price of food has also increased. Becoming very expensive.
D.Not the cheapest but good range of fresh and pantry supplies. Good range of fresh meat, seafoods. Wide range of wines, beer, bubbles, cider etc. Update March 2022 - shelf spaces seeming less bare though prices are fluctuating so need to be more careful filling the trolley. Staff seem their usual cheerful and helpful selfs.

I have noticed an increase in most things, thou, hitting wallet hard. Other shoppers are commenting as well about this.
I may have to check out Pak'n'Save unless you reassess your pricing.

D.This store is amazing I come from a small community where our new world store is small. So when I get the opportunity I just love coming here so that I can take advantage of some extra products that our store doesn't have. For a large store the staff are very friendly
S.Prices are rather expensive compared to other New World's. Although the range of food is very good except for the crumbed schnitzel which comes completely off once cooked. Will not be buying again.
c.Its just a normal supermarket now. A few years ago I had a few trips to Hastings NW, and I was stunned at the way they stacked all their fruit and veg, the gourmet pie selection in their
Bakery, amongst alot of other products and experiences etc that you don't see at your run of the mill supermarket. Apparently they were the flagship NW store nationwide. Suffice to say that on this visit, that is no longer the case. I would now rank them as your average corner supermarket. :-(
M.Good supermarket, large car park, large range of grocery items, has a cafe and lotto attached to the building. Can get quite busy in the afternoons. Probably due for a larger store in the near future.
K.I like the layout, cafe, florist, fruit and veg section, the delicatessen is a stand out on its own with an amazing selection, and staff that have attention to detail, bakery is wonderful, and the two young men that served me their parents/guardians should be very proud of them, polite, thoughtful, and very respectful. I was going to give 4 stars but this is a well deserved 5 stars :-)
V.My favourite supermarket in the North Island.Amazing displays of veges in terracotta pots,the deli and bakery section are beautiful. They were the first to do it,and others have copied.I have stayed in Hastings for 20 yrs for the Hawkes Bay Show and always shopped there,also for the ready roast dinners and lamb shanks.

J.Always very good quality service from staff. But trying to shop online & try to edit then the app just does not play fair. Something that should take minutes ends up taking at least an hour. Very sloppy, jumps all over the place,, irritates with repetitive messages & pop ups even when I try to write my password that gets covered over. A phone call later bcuz the link did me no good & I'm still trying to edit.
If I wasn't physically disabled I wouldn't be wasting time on NW ONLINE. (07.12.21)

R.Lovely staff - very helpful. Do not buy corned beef - too much gristle. Aisle signage has no spotlights on them. They are in shadow and hard to read.

P.Awesome service! The young lady at the deli paid attention to detail. Nothing better than asking a customer to selecting which item they want. Most just grab any old one but you had your eye on one particular piece.
N.A smorgasbord of decadent items. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices... Great holiday shopping.
P.As a disabled person with severe respiratory illness I always have trouble finding a suitable place to park as there are only 6 disabled parking spaces. There are at least 8-10.parking spaces directly in front of the coffee shop which who be better suited for disabled parking. Just a thought.
B.Well managed for lockdown and all precautions were taken by staff. Shelves were kept well stocked. Felt safe!
T.First visit to New World Hastings. Really nice place. Great shopping. Great service. Excellent facilities. Next time we're back in the Hawkes Bay we'll definitely be back for another visit! Highly recommended...

J.Trolley guys are great, friendly and chatty. Older staff in deli or check out can be unapproachable. The younger staff are lovely, polite and offer wonderful customer service. Deli food always fresh well presented. Out of all supermarkets New World is my favourite.

S.I don't think that you can find a supermarket in hastings that has the amount of products that this shop has the meat and fish department are outstanding if your can't find what you are looking for just ask if they haven't got it they will get it for you excellent service
S.Easy to navigate around and find just what I need it is a great place to shop for a smaller family the range of products is also good . I always see staff cleaning or restocking the shelf . The deli always have a fresh selection of meats ideal for kids lunches or just a quick salad to go with dinner . Often have specials on have had some real deals from there and will have no problems returning in future

Very impressed with their cleanliness and the store set up. Loved the wine display area. I didnt feel like am n the grocery store.
D.Please do not put the rotisserie chickens in bags too soon, when you do now they are full of juice. This makes the chicken quite sloppy Previously they would sit on the grill and put in a bag when bought.

K.Prices here are getting out of hand. Pretty expensive. It used to be the best place to shop, but their standards in fruit and veg are slipping. I have changed supermarkets. Also their selection of products has slipped.
A.I shop here everyday just about not bad prices are reasonable like most supermarkets these days you need to shop around.
J.For a small supermarket they sure like piling things up in entrances and aisles so quite hard to get around. Decent range of international foods and fresh...if you can get in
B.One of the top supermarket s and definitely the best in the area. Friendly staff and willing to help. Great range of speciality foods/sauses. Also remember not to go shopping hungry:-) so many wonderful things there.

R.This supermarket still boasts the best deli section in the region. Great staffing, with added quick-checkout and self-checkout lanes to make sure you're not help up. The parking lot is enormous, ensuring that you won't be left parking on the street.
D.The store is good but pricey like all new worlds ( if you want a bargain go ti paknsave) The one problem I had was getting a cooked chicken, most supermarkets let you self serve but not here, mitre than 10 minutes waiting at the deli amongst angry mothers so someone can put the chicken in the bag for me, dangerous times.
G.Don't go here if you need loaded potato salad. I have been 3 times recently, sold out sorry. Well order more in, it's was suppose to be on special this week
P.Thoroughly enjoy shopping here. A wonderful selection of goods especially the delicatessen and bakery. The flower shop has exquisite array of fresh cut flowers and bouquets. Staff are polite and helpful.

S.This New World has a lovely lively cafe with the most beautiful cheese cake! It is a sunny and open atmosphere that is a great place to sit and watch people come by or share a cuppa with a friend.

F.The best super market in NZ. This store has the most amazing deli with the best selection of food. You could quite happily do a weekly shop or just pop in to collect ingredients for a quick meal.

S.My favourite supermarket by far, great presentation, friendly atmosphere. Have found some staff at checkouts tend to be bad mouthing other staff which is a bit miserable to hear, but I guess that can happen anywhere.

B.Spacious cafe attached with great choice of food. Coffee ok but food better. Don't sit by open draughty doors. Staff business like which is ok by me. Didn't need to shop in grocery.
A.New World has amazing staff and is a most enjoyable experience , often a great deal to be found somewhere in store so it is good to keep your eyes open and peruse the aisles , also with the self checkout option it is very quick and convenient .
S.Best supermarket in Hastings good variety excellent butchery/deli section while maybe slightly more expensive it's worth it. Also good car parking which is important as I am a senior citizen and struggle to walk long distances.

A.A well payed out supermarket, mostly. The body product aisle and baby product aisle is separated by cleaning products. Otherwise a well designed supermarket with a lot of thought going into the aesthetics of the butchery and délie. There is a wide range of meal ideas in the delie cabinet. Family mince pies, family quiche, and more.
C.The bakery and deli section puts a lot of bakery’s to shame around Hastings. Huge selection of fresh meat, cold cuts, cheese, chocolates, salads, pastries and desert options. I could go on but you probably get the idea.
J.Best quality and variety meat and produce in one place, highly recommend!

J.A very dark, dingy shop, with low-placed spotlights making it very difficult to read the overhead signs.
