Reviews of Countdown Helensville
C.Usual Countdown set up, not too busy. Tried to get lotto ticket but older staff busy chatting, a very long wait. Younger staff seemed embarrassed and said 'she won't be long' I guess it's Helensville but both customers in front and behind me were frustrated. Yes there was a queue. This was Saturday 2ish, it was not short staffed.
G.Some staff could be more focused on customer service staff member re stocking the milk seemed to be oblivious to us trying to get to the milk, bought some wine advertised on special on a Monday which turned out to be full price but price not changed from the weekend ,bananas looked okay but bruised inside.
H.It’s ok, the staff are mostly nice, with some exceptions. From a stock perspective, it’s a 2/5, often times damaged produce and poor selection. Hope to see it improve as we move out of covid.
A.Yea it's pretty good. It's a mini Countdown but lacks nothing. Good size outside carpark, located centrally in Helensville, couldn't locate a Public Restroom inside anywhere.Both Self Serve and Staffed Checkouts.

Great selection . Stock missing on quite a few items but I was there quite late in the evening.
Nice stress free place to shop.
S.It's not to bad seems to run out of stock for things like cat food a lot good friendly service though. The range is a little lacking but for a local it's pretty good

S.Closest supermarket to Kaukapakapa with a good variety and some very reasonably priced products like their Woolworth's range.
F.I find the young staff helpful .knowledgeable, i also like getting served by the oldish maori Lady, I've been here for this Lockdown , in the main bc Aunty JJ hadda operation so i wanted to make sure she be like mad love cared for. I go yo this supermarket always be seeming to get more than whatever it is i wanted. Lols its maybe a loose idea , what shall I cook for Aunty J.J for dinner at tea-time and because I was concerned for her health after the op i decided to stay just to keep an eye on her, bc her own kids are all grown up and getting on in their lives .I also understood her being vegetarian, and shes not the kind I would spike her food with animal product games, bc im not sick of living and anyway I was kinda blown away from the selection , in store , on offer ; the bean supreme products , are choice. Masala which is Mediterranean is our favorite. In season asparagus, crispy delicious, im waiting for the corn to go down in price, and once it does ; I will be quick to score it. Yup thel toilet paper was plentiful. I think the people out here are of a superior race. The 2 metre distance mandates are keenly observed . Oh and if i didn't mention it yet, their pasta and tortilla section is mantis, yes. I would always head over their after I got me and her Dog Ziggy a very nice looking leg of lamb and garnish it with their fresh as parsnip , cheap and beautiful carrots too yummy flavors 😋
C.Produce tends to be not always fresh , limited stock in general , but cheapest local distributor

M.Small supermarket, they don't stock everything, as they did tell me that they do have limited shelving. Otherwise it is a lovely place and I find them friendly & helpful. Carparking out front is good and are right in the township. I quite enjoy going in there as people in the area are friendly, plus I do live here.

B.It's my local... It stocks the basics it does the job. Although like other stores, watch out for specials that aren't registered at check out. I've often grabbed a special off the shelf and later looked at the receipt to discover I didn't get the special price at all.
L.No click and collect option is not ideal when people are trying to be safe and keep safe distances during Covid. Limited range in some items.
S.The staff were friendly and efficient, it is good for a little town the only downfall is i would recommend a wider variety in the frozen section. Other than that the flowers are beautiful, the fruit and veges looked yummu and fresh

R.Good local supermarket plenty of parking tidy clean and well laid out premises. Reasonable stock range . Friendly helpful staff although I prefer departments like deli to have staff assisting in service display cabinets dont entice me. Pricing is reasonable in an area where there is no competition from a competing supermarket

S.I'm a bit of a foodie so I get a bit frustrated with the lack of variety at this supermarket. It's hard to find all the items I need to cook with due to the limited range, the items that are available are not very varied in cuisine, but the supermarket is quite small so this may be a restricted space issue.
The pricing is pretty much the same as all countdowns, not cheap. I do my small shops here and go to supermarkets with more options and better pricing for my bigger trollies.
There is no deli.
Staff are friendly although the Saturday part time girl asked me for ID for non-alcoholic beer when I'm 31 and heavily pregnant and clearly don't look under 25, let alone 17 which I thought was a bit daft.
P.This place not too bad I suppose staff are great try to be helpful was there last week and my cards would not work one was expired the other did not have the number staff were okay trying to be helpful I was determined not to leave till I had paid for my stuff got sorted finally but Thank you Countdown Helensville

M.Nice little supermarket located in a quiant little town. Has everything you need and a big carpark. We were there at lockdown level 3 so had to queue for several minutes.

C.Great store but pricey. There is no competition nearby. But way better than NW in Kumeu whose prices are daylight robbery...again with no competition nearby.
Way cheaper to go to Westgate.

T.Small variety but they are only tiny though! If they got rid of the flowers and plants that look yuk and damaged at the door and put a big seller in the front be so much better.
C.Last supermarket heading north on 16 until Whangarei. A well stocked store with a bit of a country feel about it. Further north there's a couple of 4 squares in Wellsford.
J.classic countdown all the food etc you need under one roof onecard is a plus good parking

M.Sorry, I didn't actually go in the store, I was just sitting outside in a car , but I'm sure he will be much like other Countdowns. That is always pretty good.
