Majority of the older woman who work in this store are disgustingly rude. Self service ladies are aways gossiping about previous customers or personal issues of others that are in no way made to sound subtle. Younger staff are welcoming and helping each and every time I’ve visited even providing me with a mask when mine broke while putting it on while walking into the store. Maybe get rid of these old bit*ches

Great staff nice and clean as always. Would be 5 stars but their stock seems an issue as it's a smaller countdown So I understand but there's always quite afew bare shelves. Wish they had more sugar free low calorie options with food as there isn't much.

A moderately sized store selling groceries, vegetables and meat and fish. Has an instore bakery. Good parking in a large area which also has a range of businesses around the area.

I have trouble walking, when I went to the check out with a full trolley. One of countdown works came and offered to put my grocery through the check out, load my bags in the trolley then collected my walking frame and loaded everything into my car. I felt very blessed with the service. May God bless the workers in Countdown Kaiapoi.

Very pleasant young man on checkout. The store is well laid out and most things I wanted were easy to find quickly. Checkout uncomplicated and quick. I much prefer the people on lanes. I don't like the auto checkouts. I prefer to see businesses employing people. Thanks Josh for good service.

Fairly big and modern Countdown but relatively poor range of items. I couldn't get the bread, nappies or yoghurt that I buy anywhere else (in Rangiora). Nothing exotic so I'm miffed they don't have these particular items. Staff were friendly enough and decent amount of parking space. Won't be back in a hurry though.

The money machine out the front provides quality notes in a fast efficient manner. Maybe with bank fees if your not a Westpac customer. Personally I feel you may incur a fee. I'm not sure..... Countdown workers seem underpaid - Food is usual countdown quality.

The countdown is great. Only thing is the entry and exit to the carpark is really bad. It's a steep angle and if you don't have a 4x4 watch out. Sports cars basically can't get in or out without scrape.

too many of my favorite items have been deleted i.e 1. frozen mince meat burgers in silver and blue bag with the red heart tick the substitute tastes awful. 2. freyers qinea and flax seed toast bread 3. gladwrap medium and small clear plastic bags with twisties 4. home brand creamed corn 5. choice of good fish i.e. blue cod, groper, smoked fish, flounder (definitely not the baby ones that was on show recently) I don't know know how they were able to be allowed to catch those and sell them 6. baking = would like to see the danish pastries back again i.e. custard and apricot and custard and mixed berry or blue berries. Getting writers cramp hope you can do something about this
