Great place to catch up with other like minded people of an excellent calibre. New World Kawerau accepts those who have minutes of their time to share with whoever they meet, in the aisles, amongst the fruit and veges, the specials bargain bin and the checkout where you can choose who you want to add up your groceries with, ask about the family, share community news, funeral details, wedding nuptials, Jacinda's latest idea and in all the time it takes to put the groceries through..... Absolute enlightment in pleasant surroundings....

Best supermarket in town. Has almost everything you need. Prices are reasonable. Some things might be cheaper in bigger towns but the cost of travel evens things out. Most staff are friendly and helpful if you ask.

This is the most busiest new world supermarket in I say the north island the steak at the meat department are primo I also notice a truck and trailer of food items from distribution centre comes every second day that shows how much food is brought from new world supermarket

New World in Kawerau has some items I can't find at New World in Whakatane or Opotiki. Well done! :-)

It's a good place to shop people are helpful when asked and is better then going to whakatane kopeopeo that place always looks like a dump and stuff smoking all around the shop well the IHC people are doing all the hard work not good too see.As for count down over priced and let's face it they drive nz goods up in price and try to make you buy Australia goods at a low price thats a fact they were on the news for it so I say kawerau doing just fine 😊

Don't always have what you need. Products are not always on Shelves but are in the back if you ask, only supermarket in Kawerau so gets very busy lunch time & evenings or wet days. Closes 8pm should close later like 9pm
