Countdown in Levin has a very good range of produce and products. Most items are available but some still seem hard to get. (I.e. Whiskas Cat Food). Even thou the items are advertised as being available.? However most other items where available.

Not normally a Countdown shopper,but was really surprised at the size and layout of the store. Had everything I wanted and more. Certainly spoiled for choice. I would definitely recommend this store for everything you need grocery wise and the prices of a lot of items including fresh produce is a lot cheaper than the other supermarkets.

Awesome customer service, we had 2 trolleys we were lugging around & a friendly woman noticed & asked us if we wanted to leave one at the counter. Then she reminded our son to grab some fruit & grabbed him a fresh banana. Golden Kiwi customer service. Tidy shop, overall a pleasant visit. 👍

I really like shopping here mainly because the staff are great! Nothing is too much trouble, they seem happy at their work and glad to help you. Makes me feel valued. They Dont often run out of specials, they are Not in your way stacking shelves in the busy times, the offer help before you ask for it if the see you looking for something. Prices are ok, fruit and veg very fresh, bakery delicious, not keen on meat but chicken great. Deli affordable. Parking ample.

It's the place to shop, always got the items on my shopping list, staff are friendly & helpful. For a pensioner - shop on a pension day to get some discounts, plus store card discounts, nice to shop where the staff value the customers, without them - they may lose their jobs -we customers need to keep the staff employed - they are worth their weight in gold 😀👍❤❤❤

Countdown Levin generally gives a favourable impression. Similarly to other Countdown stores, it appears to be well laid out and offers a reasonably wide range of grocery products for a town the size of Levin. I noticed that it stocked the gold variety of kumara as well as red skinned sweet potatoes, which are not available in most super markets in the lower North Island. I was also quite impressed that this branch is open until 10 pm. The time I visited was about 8.30 pm and therefore past the usual very busy trading periods. I saw only one check-out operator but I did not have to queue long. I would rate her as being above average in respect of helping customers and displaying a friendly manner. Overall, I gained the impression that this supermarket's prices were generally more competitive than the other major supermarket - New World in the town. On the question of pricing, however, it needs to be taken into account that the supermarket - Packn'Save with the lowest average prices in the town, is only a "Mini Market" with a limited range of grocery items for sale and it closes each day at 7 pm. A full sized Packn'Save supermarket, also closing at 10 pm, could be expected to provide effective competition to the other two supermarkets. On the occasion of my visit to Countdown Levin, when I purchased 19 grocery items, I was charged $33.99 for Centrum Multi Vitamin tablets when the shelf price indicated a much lesser amount. Either I was overcharged $23.99 or else the shelf prices displayed are confusing. It is therefore my recommendation that customers shopping at Countdown Levin carefully check and compare the displayed shelf prices and what they are charged.

Then to find the other one on the shelf was expired as well and to buy something else instead cause it was out of stock. Could be managed a little bit better.

Currently store is undergoing aisle changes which are a bit confusing especially when staff approached aren't too sure also where things are. Range of stock is good. Just wish that some out of stock items over three to four weeks be corrected.

A bit disappointed, got to checkouts with our reusable bags including our chiller bag. The young guy on checkout didnt even bother putting our frozens in the chiller bag and just left it to the side. We obviously brought it with is for a reason? He looked like he just didnt want to be there to be honest. I ended up having to repack the bags infront of him. Needs a bit more training I think

I liked this Countdown from two reasons, besides it is a good quality store. They havey beloved Bundaberg Sarsaparila, which in other stores is not available, and they had trash containers on the parking place, which a traveller in a campervan appreciates a lot.
