Usually the fruit was a better grade than when I visited the store. Otherwise variety if products and pricing good. Need to open more checkouts to avoid long wait in queue

I shop at this store on a regular basis. Lately. I am finding this Countdown store is not as well stocked up as the other Countdown stores in the Hutt Valley. Every day household cleaning products are in very low supply and it means I need to go to other Countdown stores in the area. Other than that the store in Petone is a good store when thec shelves are filled.

Crofton downs seems to not know how to sort their covid protocols here when compared to new world. A bit of a dog's breakfast. Reasonable selection though often find fruit needs to be checked as often going off. Service usually good .only had one time when I came across a Muppet on counter. Check Google reviews for more experiences by other people.

Efficient and friendly service from the loveliest staff. Very clean and organised store with a great range of products and some amazing specials.

Most groceries are more expensive than Paknsave but I personally feel their food is fresher. Sometime when the bags of frozen prawns and basa fish are on sale, they are the cheapest there.

Well I don't know if there are supply and demand issues with this supermarket when I went in to get stuff I was not impressed to see over half the groceries I wanted went there and a few empty shelves around. I Would like to have given you more stars in my review because usually you are a very good supermarket.

Countdown is a good place to shop. Less lines and friendly staff . The price of there goods are equal to pack and save at least. I really like the staff the most though, iv been shopping there for the last 15 years and have never been dissadifed . Check it out for yourself ...petone is my store...

Shopping at Petone Countdown is fun. I've probably spent over 50$ on the toy machine ar the front entrance and even the security guards cheer me on. Very friendly staff all round and definitely my favorite supermarket in the hutt

Things can be a little expensive, wish the deli stayed open longer than it does. But it is nice and new and the staff are lovely

The pharmacy here is what I liked here, their friendly and very helpful. And oh I forgot this Countdown has my favourite biscuits Griffins shortbread. I went to 3 stores before I found it here so for these 2 things alone it gets a 4 star. Id give a half a star if i coud for the cashier who served me another time i was there and bought 10 pack council bag, she was patient and kindly.

As big an flash it is Nah try to avoid this place. The thing I was looking for the supermarket was out of stock. There was no stock left on site. To top of my day the junior staff don't seem to be well trained in customer service handling 🤦🏾 The person I spoke to as it being my first time in that store. Was like Haaa Um um I don't no wea those are kept 🤦🏾🤦🏾 My day headed south at the checkout. I'll end it here. COUNTDOWN PETONE TRAIN YOUR JUNIOR STAFF TO AT LEAST HAVE AN IDEA ABOUT PRODUCTS AND ILSES CERTAIN MAIN ITEMS ARE KEPT IN. Normally has good specials in store, particularly with Health & Beauty an especially Alcohol. Has lots of carparks, but fortunately no undercover parks. Still a very good place to shop - Go well Countdown Petone!

Like all good Countdowns, this one had everything I needed. Laid out as expected, items easy to find. Was surprised, though, that there was no one on check out, only the self-checkouts. Must be Sunday mornings.

Lovely, clean and well layed out supermarket. Has a pharmacy for your convenience too! Something I've never seen before was a table that had a selection of different snacks, with a sign saying 'Try our Countdown branded food' I wasn't too sure how I felt about trying the snacks that other people could of touched, but thought it was a great way for customers to see if they liked the products.

More spacious than some Countdowns, still has the annoying quirk of constantly being out of stock of certain products. I'd love to know why they restock during opening hours on the weekend, but thankfully as mentioned the wider aisles make it easier to get around the staff restocking. Otherwise friendly & helpful staff and clean supermarket.

Staffs are Very helpful they will grab a box for you and help pack. If you have 2 trolley they will help take to car. There shop is clean and tidy, staff on isles are helpful. Values for money if you shop the special and use your one card, you get rewards voucher in mail.

My local countdown, usually has the things I need and prices are ok. Only thing that's not so great is they often don't have many checkouts open even if it's busy. They could definitely improve on that because no one wants to to wait forever to get through the checkout or have to self serve a full grocery shop

Its ok for our little local but sometimes it doesnt have near enough what the bigger stores have. One really rude supervisor there who is on a power trip and very loud. Overal the other staff are friendly.

Good store, have noticed some items are more expensive here than at Lower Hutt. In saying that, there's definitely more variety here than in Wainuiomata. On my visit there were only two checkouts open with quite decent line's, but always self checkout if you're in a rush

Was very offended when asked to check my bag as a shelf filler assumed I had placed lollies in my bag when I had to say (embarrassed) that I checked my bank account and did not have the funds to pay for them so I put them on a shelf down the soft drink isle. I was approached by a number of staff in front of everyone and accused of stealing until they looked in my bag and seen that was definitely NOT the case I did my shopping there every week and visit the pharmacy in-store 6 days a week so was highly offended and humiliated Safe to say I no longer shop here However I still have to see the absolutely lovely pharmacists 6 days a week for medication to control pain from being hit by a car and I highly recommend the cheap prescriptions at only $2.50 and the team of pharmacists are so lovely to deal with everyday ❤️

Awesome staff and service great place to shop exstreamly honest people. I left my wallet in shopping cart by accident had left and was half way up town when found wallet missing. Went back to countdown asked about wallet had been found AND ALL THE MONEY WAS STILL IN WALLET, AWESOME GUYS I thought money would have gone still honest people around.

Rudest staff iv come accros in a supermarket. Not to mention the grumpy cow at the pharmacy. There us a polite way to say can you wait for a second please im just finishing simething then theres im busy, wait. Wont bother going there again.

Bit pricey as compared with other supermart but grab quality items. Sometimes unique items are also there with best rates. Onecard membership points are quite expensive but the members get good rates compared to non-members.

Really nice. A little gem actually.The staff are so nice and you can amble along at a leisurely pace or quickly whip in after work ( as I often do). A no stress supermarket. A rare find these days in Wellington.

Out of Town Linehaul Driver found Countdown around the corner from the Motel I stay.Pharmacy inside the Countdown very cool different than Auckland.Everyone smiles and almost everything in that group of shops love it.

Nice and easy to get a park, good selection of items on offer. Inside is clean and bright. Options for self check out our assisted check out. This store also has a Chemist outlet which is very handy.

I like Countdown Petone, plenty of parking, a nice bright clean shop, lotto counter and in house pharmacy where you can have prescriptions filled and do your shopping at the same time, efficient checkouts, and a good range of products stocked, deli and fish bar also and a good range of wines and cold beer, friendly helpful staff when you can't find that special item you want, on line shopping option is also available, good returned products no fuss policy, clean and tidy aisles and good signage.

Entrance to the store causes bottle necks, carpark is chaotic even with few cars in it. Standard Countdown supermarket in all other respects.

This is my local. And by far the best supermarket in the Hutt. No pajama wearing riffraff like PnS likes to attract, always have car parking and no idiots wheeling their trolleys through the self checkout.
