S.We had to collect a couple of extra thing for our dinner.
I was a stranger to this Supermarket.
I was being trailed by an 8 yr old & a 6 yr old.
First of all, the parking was easy to find & handy to the entrance.
Then I got waylaid by that fabulous.💕 gift store/ florist at the entrance.
Ended up driving the little ones bonkers because there was so many beautiful treasures to look at, ended up spending $40 there plus buying some foliage & a couple of flowers, that were very affordable.
So, my budget was blown before I even entered the store & I had had to bribe the kids to keep them well behaved while I looked for a present, so I sent them of to search for the goodies I had promised them while I set about looking for what I had originally come for.
Their fruit & Vege Depot. is well stocked with very fresh produce.
I loved the Deli. which I will be making a special visit to next time I am there.
The bakery was just lovely.
Lots of yummy cakes & breads.
They had a good selection of wine, where I just happened to end up buying that lovely Australian Red with the poor old convict on the bottle (naturaly!!)
Then, I found the boys, with more than I promised them, but, Hey😊, I'm a Grandmother & I had wine, so I am happy.
A lovely store with happy staff, I'll be back. Thank You New World Hutt City for a great shopping experience.💕
i.Went here for groceries while I was in the area.
The store is mostly well stocked, clean and tidy. It has fresh veggie, fruit,meat, poultry, bread, cleaning products, beauty products, over the counter medicines, vitamins. and most of the things we need at home.
It also sells some stationeries, socks and panty hose if you need them.
Some prices can be a bit higher. I always look for the sale items and everyday save for extra discounts.
Staff are friendly and helpful, when I need some assistance. Check out counter is also fast.
The store is disability friendly. The parking lot is spacious. You have to scan the COVID - 19 tracker while entering the premises.
G.Clean and tidy, the shop has a nice feel to it from the moment you enter the store. The staff was helpful to find a price on an item I wanted to buy
M.Love the New World meat and veggies also your special sponges and newly baked white bread. The staff all very helpful - unfortunately don't get there as often I used to cos moved to Bob Scott's Petone - where my shopping first started in their grandfather 's shop.
M.Best cocktail sausages on the market. Can't beat them from the deli. Keep up the good work folks.

D.One of the best supermarkets I know, the only downside is that the carpark gets frequently hectic. The produce and delicatessen sections are definitely above average; honorable mention the green lip mussels.

T.Any time I have a cake needing flowers, this florist is my go to! The ladies are always super helpful, patient and very friendly. I was just blown away with my most recent visit (Friday 26th Jan), the variety of flowers they had was beautiful and perfect for what I needed and one lady (so sorry I forgot her name) went above and beyond by holding my 7month old for a couple of minutes while I grabbed what was needed without him trying to eat them 🤦🏽♀️

A.always has a nice 'family' feel to the place - interesting that i can buy certain brands and produce that i can't buy at my regular, local New World which is the one in Thorndon. that said the Hutt store doesn't always support local suppliers - Zany Zeus feta cheese (as an example) is never sold here BUT it is a Hutt company! strange....

M.Handy location opposite the Queensgate mall. Prices are usually more expensive (for everything) than other supermarkets but some weekly, discounted items are competitive or even cheaper so if you're price sensitive but footloose and time-free, look around first. Staff are usually friendly. Parking near the entrance is more available if you avoid the peak traffic hours. The bus-stops are right outside on Waterloo Rd for those using public transport. The service is excellent, staff is always pleasant and efficient. Their florist is outstanding for their product quality and displays, check out their Christmas offerings.
J.It might seem strange to rate a Supermarket 5 stars, but this one is top-notch!
Over the past couple of years there seems to have been an increase in the number of displays obstructing aisles, but otherwise not much to dislike.
C.Nice bright clean shop. Great range of produce, deli and grocery items. Meat and seafood fresher than other stores. But prices, slow service at checkout and very unhelpful staff make it an ok store instead of a great one
J.This isn't the biggest New World around, but they have plenty of variety and heaps of parking. The fresh produce is consistently good, and there's a very good selection in the frozen aisle. In-store bakery and friendly staff too!
J.To be honest the florist shop n winery display more than matches the current competitors but the whole shop needs an upgrade. Kinda like stuck in the late 90s no offence. 🤔

M.Not your usual cheery airy bright new world. Small almost aging feel. Anachronistic. Rear store staff seem to be having a good time amongst themselves, which looks fun for them. Front hse Staff packing is atrocious. Like there's been no training at all. Each time the toiletries go in with the bread, I step in and start helping out.
