Only been here a few times but the times I've been I really like this store so much variety everything looks so fresh and clean, and staff are always so nice definitely will shop here more often in future.

Good selection. I appreciate that they have a staff member out front with free masks for those who forgot, a really nice way to support folks to play by the rules. Good beer selection too.

"Have a nice day guys!" Thanks friendly guy who works on the self checkouts, this guy doesn't have favourites, every customer is greeted the same, that's customer service done well. Most the staff are very polite and well mannered. Online orders are a little slow and sometimes late and some stock runs out and takes time to be replaced but overall I'm happy, there's food and I like eating, I'm just kind of broke. Also, the bathroom is pretty tidy and convenient for customers, I don't recall seeing a change table in there however. My biggest complaint is the online orders... They always send extra large fresh produce, you need to leave a note otherwise they'll give you two massive pears when you ordered a KG.

Grocery shopping can, as we all know, be a chore so the Countdown online shopping is an absolute god send. All the staff are great! Lovely spacious aisles, excellent car parking, customer service is very good, staff nice and friendly, good selection of products but find the selection in the bakery not that great. This store has just had a MASSIVE refit and the outcome is awesome! My only concern is the layout of the car park as its quite confusing initially. Also if you're a cyclist the bike racks by the front door are simply bizarre...

Great service, competitive pricing. Open usually from 8am to 9pm daily. I often go here to shop as they have a wide array of items on their shelves from fresh fruits, can goods, bread to seafoods. One of the best place to shop with really great prices. Staff are super friendly and polite too!

Always good and clean and orderly BUT please please stop using unecessary plastic bags on vegetables fruit fish and deli AND in the bulk bins !!! I forgo/ boycott buying any vegetables in plastic - which means I go to Moore Wilsons or the Butcher who have eco and ethical packaging. Countdown so well organised for trading at level 2. - Well done and thankyou.

As a vegetarian this is always my supermarket of choice in Masterton. They have an excellent range of imported frozen vegetarian products, as well as superior fruits and vegetables in comparison to the other shops in town. It is currently undergoing renovations, which has made the shopping experience harder at times, but loving the new look of the store and it is almost completed. Would have given it 5 stars if the car park was bigger and better laid out. I drive a large ute and maneuvering in and out the tightly packed spaces is a challenge.

Countdown Masterton is now a big store having recently been upgraded and refurbished. Their range now is very good, having their own brands as well as the normal ranges of goods. Delivery of goods overnight keeps the store up to date with supplies. They also introduced self service at the point of sale, which helps with customer flow. Most staff are well known having been employed here for many years, giving you good service and quick answers to problems. Countdown is known for being good employers; and for the customer, lower prices on most things making them very competitive.

Very frustrating with the long renovations, but it must be far worse for the staff and they are very helpful. The stock placement is very higgildy piggildy. I got lost twice today. If it wasnt for the petrol points I wouldnt go near the place until it was back to normal.
