Not the biggest Countdown in NZ but definitely one of the friendliest. Staff are always upbeat and helpful.

Called into this little Countdown on our way back home from Whangarei...this to pick up stores after been away for 2 weeks...the shelves were well stacked and staff very friendly...we managed to get everything on our list plus more. Thank you Matamata Countdown..⭐

The staff are lovely! The place itself is in need of a makeover.its small, cramped and dreary. One of the smaller ones without a bakery as well so not much fresh baked cakes etc

Cheaper usually than other local supermarket but pretty often the fruit goes off in a couple of days or the specials are not honoured at the check out so you don't get them or have to go back and waste your time to get them...very annoying. Also very small and not much variety.

Countdown is centrally situated, easy to walk to. It is hampered a little by the small area but that is not their fault. There are a nu.ber of items I like to buy that other supermarkets don't have.

Hmmm, I love shopping at Countdown, and although aesthetically this one needs (ALOT) some work ... the staff are lovely, I enjoy their reduced to clear items and in all honesty have better specials (although limited range at this branch) then the competing supermarket in town,.

Yeah every thing we need except for Delhi. Very disappointing. Have asked if they could stock Speights Mid Ale. But to no avail which means we have to go to New Wold for our Delhi & Alcahol.we may aswell do all our shop there 1 stop shop saves Petrol!
