A weekly showcase of Kiwi ingenuity with food, art and crafts. Family friendly with plenty of seating and tables for consuming the excellent array of healthy and tasty food.

First time I went to saturday or sunday market abroad. And quiet surprised me since they sell such a vegetable or fruits in season. So different from my country where they sell everything except vegetable. I tried the french crepes and it was delicious and could make me full til late lunch time.

The Little Big Markets take place in Coronation Park on the first Saturday of the month.

Actually, most of the food trucks are from the restaurant on Maunganui Rd, but it is good to taste different kind of food by a small portion. Usually it also have live music.

Really love that it's not commercialised and the range of independents is great. Wickedly great choice of food too.

I suffer from Irish pale skin so I generally get easily sun burnt. I managed to get a hat at the market which I reckon saved my life. Highly recommend this market, great friendly customer service.
