M.Wonderful door staff looked after my heavy loaded pack of shopping from various Napier businesses so I could wizz round getting grocery easier. The ladies made my day...then came the challenge of loading all on the bike. Success.
j.This supermarket is so user friendly and look at this amazing family friendly addition...FREE fruit basket at the entrance vege display to keep little ones happy & avoid the 'gimme gimme' syndome such a common issue for parent/caregivers. PLUS seniors get a special treat on Tuesdays!! Check it out 😎

J.Clean, neat. Tidy store, well laid out, easy open isles, good checkout access, good staff, smooth shopping, door entry guidance is pleasantly operated.
C.Was there just after 7am in the morning, and they were open for business. Great stuff 😁.

B.An excellent well set out shop with plenty of space to browse and do your shopping. There is a huge variety of products, you should be able to find exactly what you're wanting.
The staff are very nice and polite, able to answer your questions.
If like me you prefer to use the online shopping available you'll find the website so easy to use. The men who deliver your shopping are lovely.

T.We are so lucky to have two countdowns so near to each other, the two allow for a greater range if products. The service is always way better than the other supermarket near by. Today's service at the original Countdien was excellent.

t.Ample parking with up to 2 hours free, fresh selection of meats, fruit and veg., good offers on all sorts supermarket products and a nice selection at the deli. What really make this supermarket stand out is the service. Their staff are all happy to offer help. The cashiers are among the genuinely friendliest people I’ve come across - which is exceptional considering it was a public holiday and they’ve had to stay on their feet the whole day. Made my day to shop here.

s.Perfect online shopping order. Then later did a quick in store shop. All products fantastic especially the Kiwiana Christmas Crackers which everyone loved. Hope they will be there again next year. Check out operator friendly and queues moved quickly. THANK-YOU Countdown!

C.Visiting the Hawkes Bay. A lovely supermarket all round with great choice and well spaced isles. The checkout process was quick too, and the lovely lady there was so friendly and welcomed me to the Bay! Will certainly be back here... one of the best supermarkets I’ve come across in the north island!

Better produce. Great deals on "old" things from the deli. They usually have a good deal on some sort of beer/wine.

What more can you ask for.
T.Good selection as usual with countdown. Just rundown, tired and underwhelming appeal. No self checkout option. Just OK, I would shop elsewhere with all the choice these days.
M.As you can probably see countdown is the Kiwi name Woolies are you pretty much assured that the produce they have is same as you get back home except for their alcohol which is way cheaper than we pay back here even for things like VB how can it be cheaper than it is here cigarettes over there if your a smoker are expensive maximum size packet 25 same cost as a 30 packet in Oz.
K.I really like the friendly staff at Countdown stores. Most supermarkets have pretty much the same stuff but I hate self service checkouts and the staff at the check outs and deli etc at Countdown are always so pleasant and friendly. I dont like stores like PaknSave that have self service as its just a way for them to make more money.

K.Seems like a decent place for groceries. And your mileage may vary. But when we went there the lights were off in the middle of the day and we shopped by cell phone light. Then at cash they IDed us for a single bottle of wine despite us being in our 30s and wouldn’t accept any foreign id except passports. But no way we carry passports around unnecessarily. But they were polite about it. So. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
T.Great prices. Won't buy meat from here though, to expensive. Friendly service.
D.They were awesome. We arrived in Napier rather late and just missed their closing time but security and superviser waited patiently for us to grab what we needed. Thank you do very much.

A.Top supermarket with everything. Lovely displays and prices seem reasonable. I am from the UK though so my financial compass may be a bit off.
T.Convenient and large range of products. friendly service with plenty of parking available.
C.Love the ambiance in this supermarket, they always have well presented food and produce and during covid-19 they acted professionally and kindly to everyone.
D.All the things you need under one roof. And if you want that extra bit special, cross the road to their sister supermarket & get it there.Whizzed through the friendly checkout area & grabbed a 'scratchy' instant kiwi ticket on the way out.
S.My favorite supermarket. Always clean and uncluttered, plenty of bargains to be had as well.
S.4 stars for loading bay. Nice that it's a drive through, but a tight squeeze for a Truck and trailer H unit. Friendly storepeople.

A.It's ok but l can never find what l am looking for. I find it a bit dark and dingy and seldom shop here.
S.A bit more expensive than Pak 'n Save overall, but if we are selective it's fine. Better attitude among supervisors than the other store though!

R.I like countdown. But I prefer pakn'save's prices. But pakn'save doesn't do delivery. So for that I love countdown:) they have almost everything and they deliver.

J.Good selection of products. There is a child friendly trolly but it does cost $2 to hire.

C.Great clean shop but packed my shopping incorrectly. You don't put jif with yoghurts or frozen berries with weetbix lol.

I.Typical Countdown store. There are 2 stores opposite each other, both much the same. All the usual stuff you'd find in a supermarket.
M.Plenty of parking close to the door but usually only have a couple counters open, it's is also older than the countdown Carlyle across the street.
K.Night shopping at the old countdown as they still have that good of service especially the lady who works on the 10 items or less counter
