They've got a great selection. I thought I would miss my usual Pak n Sav, but I like this one and the staff is very Friendly ND helpful.

Contacted PAKnSAVE from Australia, as I needed a Xmas Hamper due to not being able to get home for Xmas. I spoke to a lady (Heather) who was helpful, caring and nothing was too much for her. Amazing customer service, thank you for making Xmas better as last year when I was looking after my Dad I brought my Xmas Hampers from this store. Dad has passed away but this lady has made it easier due to her kindness and amazing nature.

I passed out today in supermarket. staff were awesome. Even paid for my taxi home

It's starting to feel like level 2 rather than 2.5. I got my first scratchy since lockdown and there seemed to be more product on the shelves. Roll on summer.

Big supermarket with plenty of parking.

If had prices like hastings would rate 5* Can never find avelance moccachinos, when hastings always has that and others you don't Evanston such as Irish cream and hazelnut latte. Step your game up eh

Good deli and I used to like bakery too - though lately they're copping out with ingredients lists on bakery goods by saying ask staff - not impressed, not helpful. Visit during covid did impress me that they're making it easy for people to remember to sign in - best posters I've seen.

Shelves are always full even though full range of products isn't available.

Always was my number 1 place to shop but im finding they are out if stock for days on end and some of the prices have got ridiculously expensive, quite often alot of shelves are empty. I know there are supplier issues at the moment but then you go to another supermarket and there's plenty of the same product in stock. Finding there's alot more products that I buy weekly at the other paknsave.

A good selection of products, well laid out with a great deli and bakery department. The self service kiosks are showing their age with touch screens that are, at times, difficult to operate so I’d recommend going through a lane and making use of the friendly check out staff.

Decent range of decent produce and grocery items. Unlike most discount supermarkets, the produce and perishables tend to be a lot fresher here. You will be able to find a fair few items to meet your every day needs and at very reasonable prices. Out of all the main supermarket chains, this store has the best deals around Hawke's Bay. Cheese, bread, standard Canned goods and other grocery items are all decent value. You would be hard-pushed to get these items cheaper elsewhere on a standard day. For example, it's not super rare for them to go through excess stock of individual ice creams at 50c a pop. If however, you are in search of something higher end, or uncommon, you will be hard-pushed to find it here. They stock a average range of the most common things, tending to stick to the cheaper and midrange options. If you have a preferred brand, which generally costs a bit more, you'd best head elsewhere.

First time shopping in the Napier Pack and Save and I gave you a 5 ⭐ because the way you have everything set up is exactly how all other supermarkets should be set up.. To me everything was in order just like my shopping list 👍 I'd definitely shop there again 10 fold 🤙💜 workers were awesome always smiling and talking bout their everyday thing but working at the same time 🙂 shelves were stocked and tidy always and you even have a hard case talk when getting your milk High 5 to those in the fridges keeping our milk stocked .. Everything was awesome KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND DONT FORGET TO LOOK AFTER YOURSELF

Clean great variety lots of parking area

Like every Pak’nSave well sorted and they’re selling the best and most fresh apples you can get. Unfortunately its a thing here on the north island, fuel vouchers are having a value of 6 cent.

Good but staff needs to smile more and enjoy their job.

We were visiting from out of town and interested to see that locals could register to scan their own purchases to avoid waiting in a queue. Smart tech and smart idea.

Great shopping! Always well stocked and staff are friendly and helpful. During Covid signs are clearly displayed everywhere and staff are on hand to answer any questions. I've been coming here since it opened.

My favourite Pak n Save in Hawkes Bay .. I've been to all 3 and Napier is cheaper overall, plus the layout and grouping of items on shelves makes sense 😁

Shopped today the 13 August not sure what to expect, queues etc, with level two in place, was pleasantly surprised, no, queues the supermarket was quiet, and well stocked. I was also pleased to see restrictions on certain products, to stop greedy buying. Supermarket was clean and checkout operator pleasant.

Good prices. But looking scruffy entrance floors needs good steam clean. Outside area scruffy & illkempt. Obviously management disent look at overall picture of the prémices, it is after all a bust good store more needs to be done in presentation.

First Impressions are what you always remember. The place looks tired and when we went and got some ham from the deli we had to wait for quite a bit to get served. There were only two other people waiting but there appeared to be no excuse not to have someone at the counter to serve. Evan the people around Napier looked tired and there were a lot of empty shops. First impressions are the ones that stick

PAK'nSAVE Napier have a wide variety of goods for sale staff are relatively helpful as long as they are not young staff members they will help as an if required by public pricing near his relatively good tamatea and Hastings have virtually the same products but the price is very if you have the time shop around between all three stores

Always busy , people picking up a few items for dinner something quick to prepare for tea. Every visit to do grocery shopping is different, service can be quick other days not so. staff are usually friendly , and helpful .

paknsave is good. petrol is cheap as well but just bought it today and this cherry is bad .. not sweet at all and solf....i cant believe i am eating cherry... dont buy Pams cherry wait until the real cheery season...

Among NZ supermarkets, it's one of the cheaper ones. But that says very little. Prices are too high. Be careful what you put in your trolley, lest you end up paying a lot for little. 3 stars entirely earned by the staff who are hard working and very helpful. Bakery staff bake good pies and best ginger crunch.

Can't argue with their prices. Gets busy. I think stickman and his helpers were having a little nap when I was there. Big wait al checkout

It's fine definitely doesn't have the stock that you can get from NW and doesn't have the coffee you can get from PnS Tamatea.

Well all I can say is that the staff are immensely helpful. I always find the best bargains and I was fully immersed in this shopping experience. The selection and variety of foods is much better than Countdown. I don't understand why countdown has another countdown across the road from countdown. Like what is up with that. They are trying to compete with themselves and fully cut each others lunch by stealing each others customers but aren't really stealing each others customers because its more than likely owned by the same person. Anyway 10/10 A+++

This is a very well appointed supermarket. I stopped for a bite to eat and the Steak & Cheese Maketu pie I got from their hot deli was one of the best I've ever eaten. Definitely glad I stopped there instead of Macca's.

It's good, I prefer it to Gisborne.. But just like Gisborne, Big store but not a lot of space at checkout a queue of more than two carts interferes with walking in the last Isle.

Found 3 items I couldn't have as I couldn't reach them on the shelf . And no one around to get them down for me. I may be shortish but the product was there and people had bought them but none had moved product to the front I don't normally have trouble like this.

Absolutely fantastic spot to shop, not olny as a supermarket but as a retailer. When going to the supermarket most of the time u don't expect ull need the help of the team and alot of times it ends up being not worth asking but I don't think these guys and girls got that memo, the team at Napier pak n save are the best I've seen in 30 odd city's with ech City having 4-20 supermarket's. The store looks absolutely amazing super clean super tidy, the cages holding the over flow are also very impressive, I'm sure there is no doubt if they say haven't got any, they 1000% know they haven't got any. The team should super proud of the hard work they do to make that store look not like a supermarket but something more then that, truly amazing service and culture. Well done Massive fan of people going above and beyond.

A lovely building, it's a shame that there is a 5 meter wide trench of punji spikes that runs around the whole building which are concealed. Or maybe there aren't. A lovely establishment regardless

An amazingly big store with kind of everything. It's really cheap and you can get what ever you want. Also a good place to bring visitors so they can try all the specials from New Zealand.

The specials usually last until Sunday closing time, but can be hard figuring out what they are on Sunday evenings because the staff like to get ahead of themselves removing the signage and items. Also when buying alcohol it can take forever and a day for the supervisor to authorise your purchase.

Easy to find groceries

Easy to follow layout for out-of-towners. Lots of variety, with local produce. Well priced. Sourdough bread from bakery is great. Coffee adjacent in kiosk. Flowers available. Great wine range.

Disappointed to find out that Pak'nSave no longer accept American Express. Annoying that I had to get this confirmed by a supervisor as twice previously staff had blamed this on terminal software.

Helpful staff. Easy to shop and find products due to lay out of store. Always feel safe within and outside store. Flowers and vegetables FAB and having a pharmacy in the same building a huge bonus.

Standard Pak'nSave. With an exceptional local wine selection. Decent selection of everything else but nothing special. I was frustrated here when asked for identification to purchase alcohol. I accept that a retailer has an enormous responsibility not to sell to minors however a little pragmatism in terms of handling those clearly of age would be nice (I'm 30 and look it.).

Big and spacious - two lane aisles, meaning two trolleys going in opposite directions can easily pass. An extra star given for having plenty of self checkouts a available. You can quickly dash in for a few items without getting held up in line at the checkout.

Probably the best paknsave in the country. Huge store with a coffee shop, superwide isles, very clean, well stocked and very freindly staff

Great location and very clean, fresh - great thing with Pak n Save's is that generally they're laid out the same, so doesn't matter which one you go to, you can find what you want, or at least know the general direction to go in! This one is clearly very new, and well laid out and a great flow.

A very large store with a lot of produce, not a lot in the way of vegan produce, but it's growing.

Pak n save is well known for great prices, but here in Napier they go above and beyond in just about every way you could think of. Their selection is phenomenal, with huge ranges of bakery goods and deli items. Combine this with good coffee from an in house cafe and what more could you want? If you're used to *Meh* supermarkets, and want a well priced alternative that takes absolute pride in their products and service, look no further. Great job to everyone there!

PAK'nSAVE is located in the centre of Napier very handy for all your shopping requirements plus your fuel. The store is massive with plenty of room between the Isle for your trolley. They have a very large selection of fresh fruit and vegatabes, plus beers, wines and spirits. The freezer section is quite large and there is a reasonable amount of frozen pruducts to buy. The dairy Isle has many different butters and cheese to tempt you along with some fresh cakes. Some items can be difficult to reach so you might require the assistance of the helpful and friendly staff.

Had everything I wanted plenty of staff on the checkouts didn't have to wait at all pleasant shopping experience

Great supermarket, great selection of fresh vegetables, meat, bakery items, prepackaged grocery and supplies. They have a gluten free section with good selection of products.

The best value supermarket in napier I believe. They stock all the products we prefer unlike tamatea and laid out in a way that makes sense and therefore things are easy to find. Plus when we found gmo products on the shelf and identified them to staff they were immediately removed.

A place with a good cheap variety of food. Good counter service where you can get fried chicken and chips too - it's really tasty.

This super mark is located at the heart of the city. This one is way better than the other pak n save at tamatea and hastings. Here, these guyz have got lots of self check out points, so that you can save your time in the billing. This store have a plenty of parking space.The store have got a good collection of vine, chocolates, and dairy 🥛 products...

Love this store,but I think you should have more hand sanitizes around the store,as I picked up sum meat that was off,and there where no tissues or any sanitizer, and I had to to my shopping with horrible smelly hands,

It's a good supermarket, but management staff (1 exception here - Cathy is really helpful) might be a little more obliging. Checkout operators, however, have a great attitude

I went to deli for hoki fillets and the loverly assistant went that bit extra for me making sure each piece was placed independently on layers, and wrapped well for me so I was able to transfer it when I arrived home, and also I needed some wholemeal porridge ,but alas none on shelf the assistant got some down for me with a very polite no problem, and I'm most grateful to the both , plus at self check out , the staff also very out going. That's why I return each time they are a credit to name brand .

It is ok, I do get annoyed when a product you have been using or having for a long time just stops appearing on the shelf, then you need to go to another supermarket to purchase it, your lost pak n save Napier another supermarkets gain, but super frustrating that I as a customer have to stop again at another supermarket, time waster.

Pak'n'Save is a big supermarket store chain on New Zealand. It is the competition to Countdown and New World which are both in the same area. I usually go to Pak'n'Save or countdown depending on what I want to buy. The nut milk are usually cheaper here. The fruit and veggie selection is good and there is basically anything you might need. The layout of the store is ok. It's big and it can be hard to find quickly what you want.

Ok,wish they had a bakery like Petone,Lower Htt also need to keep shelves better stocked esp when go in on a Monday at 11am.

Always shop here. I know where everything is, great service, plenty of bargains.

I live closer to Hastings Pak n Save but have always preferred going Napier Pak N Save as usually more deals, and more variety of baby needs.

Good grocery market,much much bigger than Hastings one,much more variety and better deal on all the food items,recommend to everyone.

Kool deli....looks fresh an clean,nice variety also,not like Hastings pak n sav no deli anymore,their loss.....

Quite convenient for grabbing some picnic food before heading to the beach for lunch or dinner. Plenty of parking available, not the easiest store to navigate though, compared to others.

Coming from Stratford I always make sure I do a shop before leaving Napier.

For backpackers staying on and around Marine Parade this Pack 'n Save is in walking distance. Which is perfect for when you wish to buy cold beer to drink at the hostel at 9PM.

They never bloody have meat in reasonable sizes (ie, 500g) only ever 700g+.

The vege department needs to work on ensuring when it advertises half celery or half cabbage that the produce is ready to go ... had to ask to have my celery an cabbage to be cut in half.???
