Love it here. Staff are always friendly and up for having a laugh or chat. Very clean and product range is great. It's nice to feel you are a valued customer.

Nicely laid out supermarket. Decent specials as per usual and all the options you'd expect from a decent-sized city's supermarket. Nothing extraordinary in any particular department. But all around clean, fresh and gets you what you need. Although, they did go above and beyond as far as their trolleys are concerned. Your toddler wants to be hooning along in a little enclosed car? Awesome, they've got several. Your young child wants to take the lead and drive ahead of you like a little speed racer? Sweet. She can do! Just look at her go.

Clean, good atmosphere. Consistent with other stores right down to the awesome butcher counter. Very nice wine aisle with a decent variety.

Great Supermarket in Nelson This is a big supermarket, we love their Long business hour from 07:00 till 22:30 Good products range, only that We do expect they should have more choices of local fishes The Asian staff were so nice and friendly

Best kept secret in Nelson. The cabinet food at NW is supreme. From fresh spicy pulled pork fillo to Thai chicken slider and dark chocolate bounty bar. The coffee is better than many actual coffee places. Apparently best espresso pretzel too. And cheap as... Do not miss while in town.

Busy lil place, first time shopping here while on holiday. Clean, plenty of parking, extensive product range, friendly staff.

I don't always shop here, but I found it really good. The guys in the deli were really very pleasant even though they were busy, and the staff that were stocking the shelves were very very helpful. New World Nelson is a very busy supermarket and I was there at 9am. Thank you to the staff at New World Nelson.

I love the variety and quality of food at this supermarket. Nice internal cafe and seating area too (reminds me of USA supermarkets).... this is where I spend the $2 voucher issued if my spend is over $100👍

New world Nelson, suffering the ravages of supply chain problems, staff quality excellent, not quite the good family feeling of motueka branch, but quality of product still excellent.

Apart from flour supplies looking down a bit, had good supplies with pre - lockdown prices, and only saw two non mask wearing patrons.

Over night parking for properly self contained vehicle in a city which is not interested in having freedom campers. Arrived early evening, done my shopping to support this business and left at first light in the morning. Well done New World 😊

Good place to shop and cheap in a lot of things

Awesome place where you easily can get all range of products at very competitive prices. It is the only supermarket in town with an international section where you get all products from different countries. The staffs are very helpful offering great customer service a place where customers are treated as king from grocery staffs to checkout staffs they are doing a great job. The store is clean well displayed products Greg the Owner is a wonderful person down to earth and empathetic always on the floor helping the staffs and ensure customers are given exceptional service

This new world has products I've never seen in other places, so I was impressed by that. Plus they had products I can't find anymore in other shops, extra impressed with that. Nicely laid out with everything easy to find. Very impressed by the sugar free things up at the checkout counters instead of the usual high sugar lollies and chocolates. Also impressed with the amount of shoppers carrying their own shopping bags!!

Wow if only all New World’s were this great. I’ve yet to find such a great selection of craft beer and wine in any supermarket. And the giant pretzels are awesome. A lovely range of artisan food producers represented. Lovely staff

Friendly staff and well stocked shelves.

Today I was met at the entrance by a staff member who politely noted that i had gone through self checkout and had forgotten to pay on a previous occasion. Where I could have been embarrassed, the situation was handled professionally and I didnt feel awkward at all. Thanks for your professionalism!

I think this supermarket is special because everyone in there is bright, jolly and helpful. It's culturally diverse in terms of the people who work and shop there which reflects in the goods they sell. There's a particular English lady, small and lovely. She always makes you feel good when you're paying for your shopping. Keep up the good work New World, genuine, honest service with a smile is what we want and you definitely deliver.

Nice supermarket indeed. Good range at the bakery, cheese, and wine sections. Good range of craft beers. Produce was appealing and fresh. Our checkout operator was pleasant and helpful when I asked about advice regarding the local beaches.

New World is the best service, they have always packed my bags through the Pandemic " Countdown make the customer pack their own bags. Being in my mid 70s I find packing my shopping bags very frustrating and slow if I do a big shop.

I went over to new world Nelson the other day for a snag, and I was say out side on the chair and this old bloke came over with his gutiar and started singing jingle bells, and me and my mate didn't want to leave because it would look rude so we waited 45 mins for his mouth to shut. 🤑🤑

A smaller supermarket than its competitor just dơwn the road but is well lit with at least 25% of the wall being glass.This gives a spacious natural feel that is enhanced by the friendly and very helpful staff who seem to enjoy their work and helping customers.The in store deli and bakery are well patronised by the discerning customers..This place has an atmosphere which makes shopping an enjoyable experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff. You can bring your own box for fish (for example). The quality of meat is generally better than elsewhere. Their rolls are the best in town.

As a supermarket, well it is a supermarket. The cafe inside the main doors is a different story. Good coffee and a good selection of food. Chicken French sticks and sausage plait are good. Macaroons are pretty good too.

First and foremost, as a Nelson supermarket they are pretty good. More friendly and accommodating in comparison to some of the other stores nearby. The coffee café is a nice addition. Must also mention the deli section at the back. I have eaten more lunches from there than almost anywhere else in Nelson. Good food for a good price.

This is a cool supermarket well as cool as a supermarket can be, if you are going to do your shopping at a new world supermarket make sure you get yourself a club card so you can take advantage of the specials they offer. This supermarket is well laid out and finding what you want isn't hard. The staff seem friendly enough and were helpful when I asked for assistance. Its also an option for alcohol once the bottle store is closed and the price is right always at least one beer on special.

This New world is providing a safe place for the SC camper community to sleep. Thank you very much. It has a lovely little cafe inside perfect for a morning coffee & free WiFi. All the staff we have crossed paths with are super friendly. They ask that we park at the far end of the car park nearest to the red cross shop.

I've always thought that New World is expensive for shopping but I was wrong, it's really quite good for pricing and further more if you register for a club card you get even more savings on different items in store and from what I've seen so far it's a $1:00 off per item on selected club card items. That's huge at the end of a full shopping trolley.

Great experience at new world Nelson today. Thanks to the staff member who saw I was on crutches and offered the use of a wheelchair, very thoughtful! Always enjoy shopping there.

Best supermarket in Nelson in my opinion, great deli with huge range of salads, meats, sushi, premade sandwiches, wraps etc plus excellent seafood section with good range of fresh fish. Bakery- again large range of breads and pastry also good selection of wines, beers, cheeses and international foods around the rest of the store oh and long opening hours 7am -10:30pm

Has more specialty items than some, including really nice birthday cakes and International foods. Slightly cramped in the aisles. Car park slightly more awkward than some. Has self service checkouts.

A great supermarket that is within walking distance of the central business district. They have a good variety of fresh fruit, alcohol (wine, cider and beer only) and ready to eat meals

I always enjoy shopping here. The shelves are always neatly stocked and they always have the products i go in for. Clean and tidy and cashiers very polite and helpful

Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Checkout assistants were on to it and friendly. Prices may be bit more expensive but plenty of special deals and think it is NZ owned and operated 😊

If only folk would just buy what they really need, the shelves very empty, Rolling Meadow.Cheese up to $15.99 absolutely ridiculous. The young man on the door could not stop couples entering the store. I WATCHED 4 YOUNG FOLK COME TOGETHER IN A CAR AND ALL ENTERED YOUR STORE. 2 AT A TIME. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP. ALSO PEOPLE PARKING IN THE CAR PARK ARE ALL TOO CLOSE. WAKE UP PEOPLE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE.

Its alright there everything is tidy and straight forward and the Smeg knife deal they have at the moments pretty good.

Quick visit, but what I needed was in plentiful supply, but I noticed lots of empty cartons/boxes & those shelves were sparsely stocked.

As it should be: a very neat, well stocked, well managed place with enough open checkouts and enough free parking.

High quality produce, but it's quite far from the center of the city. If you are staying in a backpackers - which usually are around the center of the city - then doing grocery shopping are not a fun thing to do. :( :(

This is a handy New World, close to town, easy access, well stocked with good staff, and open at 0700 hrs with everything you need ready to go then.

Couldn't find what I was looking so asked a staff member and he took me to where it was. It did seem out of place as it was vinegar and not with all the vinegars. So he was very helpful.
