Do My weekly shop here most weeks fruit and vege can be a hit and miss with freshness... Always clean and tidy when iv been there staff are reasonably helpful and polite

Well-stocked with variety of goods. As is now common practice - fruit and vegetables first - promoting healthy living. Lady I was walking with pointed out the excellent display and selection in deli section. I was in a bit of a rush. However got what I came for - 2 sausage rolls for me and my dog - delicious they were! Dad's Pies. And spotted irresistible children's books - lovely rhyming stories with brilliant illustrations. Only $7 each. I bought 5! Overall a jolly good experience shopping at Trafalgar Park Countdown

Nice supermarket, shelves a bit empty at the moment but you can get most things even if it is a different brand.

With more than usual late Spring November rain, the gardens' variety of trees, plants and lawns look lush and green. The large white duck and the wild Grey ducks were enjoying the peace of the water way under the bridges. With the stunning traditionally built and paved Chinese garden, Queens Gardens are a beautiful place to visit to see mainly mature plantings exotic for NZ.

Nice place, clean, organized. Very friendly, they have a really decent range of dairy products, all sorts of cool stuff like single farm organic/ grass fed milk. They have a funny parking lot, it’s kinda small but it’s not an issue. They have a small fresh produce area when you first walk in. I’m not sure how the recent law change in NZ impacts grocery bags but you might need to bring your own grocery bags? Or a box. I’m not sure how this will work. What I can say about this supermarket is that it is well stocked and has all that you need.

Lots of room to park, but they really should be enforcing all the campervans to stop parking horizontally across four car spots just so they can sit there for a few hours. Lots of quick sales in the bakery making for some good treats. Staff seemed friendly and helpful too.

Have experienced fantastic customer service, really friendly staff. Free fruit for kids is a life-saving bonus some days when I'm trying to get lunch and/or dinner ingredients sorted with a hungry toddler in tow. Handy location by library and ricer pathway too.

I didn't go into the store but my partner did. She said the checkout person seemed like her job was the worst on earth and threw the items around after scanning them. I was in the car outside and was disappointed in the number of people not scanning into the store. 31 people went in and of those only 7 scanned in to the store.

A nice little park with lots of arts and flowers if you are bored of shopping centres in the town. Got some free parking also adjoining which is handy. When you walk is the town, a good park to rest a bit and enjoy some nature. It's within city center limits so not at all far to walk. So might be worth the visit

Customer service was great. Has good variety however they need to keep replacing stock during the day as the freezer ice blocks ice creams were low and left very little choice. Otherwise a fantastic experience:-)

We are visitors to this city and our impression of this place has increased dramatically in a positive way since visiting this Countdown and being served by a gentleman by the name of Damien. Through his awesome customer service, we were served quickly, blessed with 2 reusable shopping bags, gifted with a porridge container and our daughter was given a chocolate bar. This is something we are not used to so are very thankful! Thank you Countdown Trafalgar, and thank you Damien!

Only go here when certain items at the other countdown doesn't have. Also the only store that had a worker that literally took 15 mins trying to 'verify' my ID. Embarrassing, I had credit cards and all sorts with my name on it yet this person think Im a different person as I have my hair long at the time and my hair short on my ID. She's younger than me! Lol terrible. Just terrible.

Car park is a bit of a pain to navigate but otherwise ok layout of the store is a bit weird but that’s just my opinion otherwise it’s fine just weird to have 2 countdowns within a short walk to each other
