Great supermarket and very convenient when you live in this southern end of New Plymouth and everyone visiting New Plymouth from the south Taranaki west coast. Very easy to stop at coming to and heading back out of New Plymouth with plenty of parking. Good layout and stocked supermarket.

Shelves are disappointly very short of stock. Why ? When a short while ago Countdown assured NZ that there wasn't a supply problem. We are now preferring to do our main shop at the other supermarket. Murray .

On the whole pretty good, I know if I go to the same supermarket every week I get to know where everything is. Then it is much easier to be in and out quickly.

Every week I do my shopping at Countdown. Prices are usually good and earning one card points is a cool bonus especially when I qualify for a $15 voucher. I'm not a fan of Countdown value mince, it's not very nice. Most staff are friendly but some of the older ladies at checkout might need a day or two off because they aren't very friendly. I've had them not even say hello to me but be extra friendly to the person next through checkout, I've never been anything but friendly to all staff so I'm not sure why I get treated rather rudely sometimes.

Nice location , reasonable parking . Tidy inside and plenty of staff to help should you be lost. Security officer who is friendly enough to tell you to enjoy the remainder of your day. Happy to go there again

This supermarket it the best Countdown that I've been to and one of the best supermarkets that I've been to in NZ. Great. Had everything I wanted. Ony one thing wrong was there were only 2 checkouts open plus self service. There was quite a few people waiting too. At a busy time on day. This has happened on more than 1 Occasion

Everytime my fiance and I go there, the staff has been very friendly and helpful especially when I couldnt find something, there always seems to be enough staff when I go however I go in the mornings or the week days during school time. Never seem to lack on stock. Easy parking as well.
