A couple of weeks ago I shopped at this store and a woman named Polly was exceptionally kind and caring. Have also found Carmen and Shona on checkouts to always be incredibly engaging and efficient their service makes up for the fact what is charged at checkout sometimes does not match what is on the shelf.

Disappointing, poorly stocked shelves, prices on the face appear higher than NW and Pak N Save, produce section under stocked and deli not open...not in a hurry to revisit. Rather underwhelming for such a large store.

Clean interior and wide aisles makes shopping easy and hassle free. There are lots of products on display and every section (meat, dairy, frozen etc.) Are split appropriately so everything seems well balanced. One downside was that the filler who was filling stock was blocking a section of an aisle with crates and empty boxes which would have been avoided if he put everything to one side. But overall a good place to shop for groceries.

Good big place to shop in. Is a big store, and well laid out. Parking is good never had a problem with that too. This is not my usual store, but like it better than to the one I live in here at Helensville. Lovely people at the Helensville one, but being small, if I lived closer to Orewa that would be my go too.

Great selection, people running check outs are unable to do basic math! Gave mum and extra $20 due to an error when they had a calculator/computer right in front of them, then proceeded to run up and ask for the $20 back. At least they admitted they can’t do math.

What a difference to walk in to the 'new' store !!! Bright, cheery, welcoming... Do I notice a happy uplift in staff smiles too? Well laid out... Good prices - those enormous Canadian salmon sides look great for my Christmas celebration...especially for non-meat eaters. Good one new Countdown!

We were very excited when we realised that Countdown Orewa is trying to reduce their plastic packaging. Even the cucumbers were naked. It might help the process if they provided clear signage stating that the items in the bags have been weighed for sale. Saw a few items had been removed, people possibly thinking it was part of their fruit & veg display. Thank you Countdown Orewa for taking a step in the sustainability direction.

The supermarket has a good size car park, but somehow doesn't feel well set out. For a fairly small sized countdown it feels badly set out. We've visited a lot of countdowns and the one at Silverdale is a lot bigger, better laid out and only a few kilometres away from this outlet.

We go to Orewa branch every week with no complaints before thos week.2 guys skateboarding in the area by the front entry.I walked through them and one guy got it all wrong and crashed into me.Im fairly stocky so he bounced off into a heap on the ground.If i had been a little old lady she would have been knocked over.I want to know why these idiots were there for well over 30 minutes without being told to move.If i see them again there will be more than a glare.

Countdown Orewa is mega supermarket by NZ standards and is highly recommended.
