A.Unbeatable prices and soooooo much chillies! The strawberries are so full of flavor, the zucchinis is enormous and I'll be back again and again.
S.Love this orchard. They have an awesome variety of PYO fruits and veges, the best strawberries on the Coast and amazing staff. Great place to harvest crop without digging in the dirt :) Just look at these autumn strawberries!
D.Cool place that offers vegetable and fruit picking, as well as a good selection of fresh fruit, veges, and pantry items in the store front. The variety of chilli's available was unique.
P.We have been going there 4 weekends in a row, mainly picking strawberries for our smoothies at home. There were still lots of strawberries to be picked when we were there last Sunday. Zucchini, gherkins, red onions and beetroots are also available for picking. Capsicums, peppers and tomatoes are not ready yet for picking.
M.Pick your own fruit and veggies! We got strawberries, zucchini, avocado and some gerkins when we went (Jan) and they were all delicious.
For the strawberries, look around all the rows before you start picking - the rows at the back of the gardens had way bigger, riper strawberries than the first ones we picked.
J.No fuss PYO strawberries. Huge big fruits and super sweet and juicy. Has a small shop selling other vegetables and fruits as well.
ف.Very beautiful farm, however would kindly request if the owner would consider allowing customers to eat while picking like they do in Auckland.. I note alot of strawberries go rotten, which is a waste and would be nice to enjoy them fresh while picking as they are very tempting.. happy to pay extra fees!

H.I bought a punnet of beautiful new season strawberries today. Delicious and tasty. I was really pleased to see they were packet in a paper punnet instead of plastic. Good on you Penray Gardens!

S.The best place to get fresh, beautiful veggies and fruit. The only place with lots of chilly varieties and the tomatoes that no supermarket can even dream of selling. All in its own season of course.
W.Nearly the end of the main PYO season. Glorious day, so ditched plans and drove up from Wellington. Taylors Gold pears, Jalapeno peppers, beetroot, Hungarian Yellow peppers, and beefsteak tomatoes. Penray is a well laid out market garden with good stock and great staff. Worth the drive 🤗

At depends on season they have strawberries, beetroots , onions, cucumbers, plum, peach and few other fruit and veggies..!! Also shop there allows you to buys some Indian spices and grocery items!! Good to visit on sunny day .

L.You can taste the diff between fruit & veg grown here and that from supernarket. Some of the other produce is occasionally not great, but the odds are still better than the supermarkets
