Apart from Countdown Greenlane which I seem to be a 5 ⭐ supermarket in the entire Auckland, I have grown to appreciate another 5 ⭐ place of varieties of produce, products and helpful & professional staff. This is what makes a supermarket great; it's people, products and service, and cleanliness.

Let's keep this countdown on the down low from this waikatorians, I'm not gonna say what they have but great variations of stuff that us in Hamilton dontg have, it looks good, great vibes at this store, I haven't come across a dik person here so big ups to that. Lots of car parks, nice and tidy, Also a bonus, the famous ice cream shop right across the road. I get 3 scoop gold rush every time incase you were wondering.

I give it a 4 as the staff are awesome. The produce and fruit is terrible, the prices at the moment for rotting product is ludicrous. Check the packed on date, most items are already 10 days old.

What a neat place. We especially liked the isles dedicated to healthy foods. Good lighting and well laid out. As always with Countdown, items can be more expensive, that's why only 4 stars.

I love the atmosphere location also this store helps a lot of new people move in this pokeno town.

Update! This Countdown is just around a year old. With a nice modern Car Park as well as a very fine looking Shopping Store on the outside as well as the inside. What's inside? It has a small Delhi, Bakery, As well as a Lotto kiosk. And like many stores already it has Self serve Check-outs. As well as a new feature for Countdown as a whole! It's very own Shop and go System. Pictures added at a later date.

Great staff, great layout, clean, great range and variety. Good butchery discounts, if you know where to look. Have already helped with a bakery phone order on a saturday so hands down best customer service..had kind help from produce staff. This store is a hidden gem By far hands down in every way. From staff, layout, options, good prices. e.g I just bought a $11 roast pork from countdown Pokeno last week that is huge, with beautiful crackling, and prior to this I had board leg of lamb roast that were huge and cost around $18. This countdown has a large range of butchery items at great prices including discounted pricing and ready-made meal options. This is no easy to admit but I am a cancer patient and your staff at this particular store go above and beyond to treat me normally equally with kindness and help, they help to pack my trolley bags, I have had offers to help pack my car this kind of service these days is not required or given. I appreciate people who clearly have a kindness and you have picked a great team from this afternoon I have doubt with. Hands down the best supermarket I have had the privilege of shopping at thank you countdown pokeno especially your staff...

What a store,compared to my home town countdown it was like a brand new shopping experience. All the products a could never get,didn't seem to stock and never told why were all here,stacks of them,go figure. So all countdowns are not the same that is for sure If it wasn't for the lockdown I would be there every week.Go have a look if you close by well worth the visit.

I like the shopping app at this store., scan as you go. The store itself is pretty good. And no issues with parking.

I have never seen a supermarket set out so well. The produce section was incredible. Not a fruit or vegetable out of place. Everything was well stocked and displayed excellently. And the staff were so helpful to a girl from out of town who didn't know where anything was. I was very impressed. They also had a public toilet so was a perfect stop to fill the car with groceries before I carried on with my trip.

Well laid out and loved that they provided free masks if you didn't have one but so much more expensive than pak n save where I usually go. Previously, Countdown was expensive but their specials were great. But now, I'm not sure if it's because of lockdown, even their specials were almost 10% more expensive than pak n save.

Stopped in here for a few goodies for a BBQ and was really impressed with how clean fresh and organised the store is. Fantastic range of products too, I just love this store!!

Countdown Pokeno is a very friendly environment, staff are really helpful. We don't have to go all the way to Pokekohe to get things now.

Pretty cool place and has scan and pay as you type of software but the people can be a little stand offish

Really clean, well throughout layout, the produce is always fresh and stock of food and items is always there when I need it. Plus its in great location, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a small town. Keep it up!

Our new Countdown in Pokeno, is an easy drop in to pick up the small things that are required. Tonight cat food for our kitties. Easy & quick.

Very low stock on some items and I missed many items on my list. Disappointed as I live rural and drove quite a way to come to shop.

The layout of the supermarket is slightly different to what I'm used to with my regular countdown. I like the concept with all the fresh/frozen/fridge food at the beginning of the shop and packaged foods in the aisles down further. The supermarket itself is quite small which, with the rapidly growing township, may be an issue in the future. My main disappointment was no hot chickens at 5.30 on a Saturday evening 😭

Clean store. Friendly staff and always full shelves. It feels like you entering a posh or high end store. Unlike other Countdowns.

It's a lovely new store with a great range of fresh buns and bread for Easter. We bought salads, cooked chicken and all of it was fresh. Loved the Brioche Easter Buns. The chicken was not over-cooked or dry and our lunch for the 5 of us was delicious.

Lockdown and nothing there, apocalypse had arrived and the place had been gutted, had to pay higher price for brands that normally wouldn't buy, maybe limit people from panic buying in future

Nice little shop, love the vertical freezer aisle, way better than hanging into the horizontal ones (being short didn't help when you had to grab food out of the bottom of those freezers) staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative I felt the carpark was a bit on the small side and lacked signage (directions)

Firstly its closer for me to go do my grocery shopping with know distractions. Layout same as all Countdowns. Everything I had on my list was available and more. Good selection of fresh fish and variety of seafood. Very good customer Service. Great parking.

Scan n Go is a great feature. Couple of improvements required on the app but that will happen over time. Staff are great. Open until 10 every night which is great.

Great, clean, easy parking and not so busy as still new and in an area that is not hugely populated. If going to Auckland not out of the way. Will be my go to Countdown when travelling North

Looking really up market so far, and it's going to be very important for the owner and his management team to ensure that Countdown Pokeno is kept to the same if not better standards than Countdown in other affluent areas. I say this now, as Pokeno property creeps up towards the million dollar mark, you'll see families from Auckland's best suburbs move here, looking to live big, Pokeno won't be the town known for just it's ice creams but much more, comparable to suburbs in Auckland- and this is all coming from a Auckland resident who moved to Pokeno. All the best to the team and congratulations to the owner.

Nice store but the format is more like a big metro style shop - seems like the town has outgrown it already. Super cramped with narrow aisles and not the full range of goods. Good for a few items but still not really adequate for a full shop.

It was a total experience visiting this newly open store and I was surprised by the number of shoppers there. Certainly well laid out and the people working there were very helpful with any question put to them. Maybe, I will see you on my next shopping day. Well done Countdown.

Staff was really friendly and they had this little game at the entrance spin the wheel and win something .they also had staffs doing ballons which I thought was cute. The tractors 🚜 outside of countdown was cool too.and across the road where you get ur ice cream 🍦 they were giving away fruit juice for everyone which I thought was cool. Thank you countdown pokeno.

It was run ok only 3 people lining up outside when I arrived, 1 out 1 in routine and the shelves were ok and there was even toilet paper....👍 doing a good job pokeno countdown 👏

Wow.... This is an amazing store. Totally enjoyed my experience, cant wait to come again. I didnt use self-service or the staffed checkout, but the new Countdown Scan & Go App option, No issues with Scan & Go, it was pretty easy.... Not sure if Ill keep my phone on the holder (obvious reasons lol), had a few other customers curious what I was doing and how the Scan & Go app works (even though I was using it for the first time lol) But yeah, just love the store,. I am laughing at some of these reviews whinging and moaning already.... gees "Get a grip Karen"

Quiet most of the time, well stocked and wide isles.

First time shopping in this store. We'll laid out. Sandra was my checkout girl. Very friendly and cheerful and chatty.

Has most of what I need. A couple of items are missing but.may be due to the current supplier shortages.

A great big shop. The lady in the counter and the supervisor were so helpful looking for items for me. The only thing I noticed is that some items in their international food section needed more varieties.

Good service following level 4 rules good to see them making sure people wearing masks and signing in

Need to wait a while before rating. I was there around 8am on opening day and was pretty full with bussiness people. I tried to go about my bussiness but it was hard as the entrance and the aisle going in was full of reps and guest from the opening ceremony so you had to walk around them to get to your items. So my rating is a bit clouded at the moment will hopefully revisit abd repost another time.

The only problem is the many workers doing online picking. They kept getting in the way and wouldnt move.

I think they made 1 massive mistake.. its not big enough not enough parking.. 1. Pokeno has not finished growing. 2. This supermarket does not just service pokeno...Mercer...Mangatangi Mangatawhiri Maramarua te kowhata rangariri tuakau everyone over the Tuakau Bridge and more... ;-( otherwise its Shiney and new but too small

A quick drop in to grab a bite on the run. Brand new store with all the bells and whistles. A nice experience.

It was good however due to Covid19 lock down at 12am no bread, no meat.

Brand new store, great having a supermarket there with good motorway access in and out, means to can pop in and get stuff on your way to the beach, river or friends, then be on your way quickly with paying through the nose for 4Square type prices - awesome

What a great and different Countdown. Its nice and refreshing to walk into the store and find everything you need with no trouble at all.
