I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest in Nelson. It's no frills. You might not find your favourite product. There might be empty shelves for some products (Covid madness means some benighted fools are taking as much of some products as they can.) And you need to pack up yourself. Busy carpark. Busy supermarket. Put on your mask and scan in! :)

Plenty of food to buy! Butchery dept had a great selection of cuts of meat. Wine dept awesome to! Used the self checkouts, no problems at all!😃👊

Great variety of products and produce, friendly staff and shelves usually stocked and tidy.. I just wish their large trolleys were easier to handle 😅

Make sure you stock up on groceries here before going over Takaka Hill to Golden Bay. Price of Veggies and Fruit so much cheaper here but you can always buy fruit and vege from road side in Golden Bay

Good prices . Layout is useful and if you can not find an item just ask the staff. Good prices on basics like bread and butter but nearly everything is there. There is an aisle of exotic food behind the bins of dried fruit seeds and sweets. Good wine selection. Tons of parking and boxes for groceries after paying The name says it all, pack and save.

Great prices friendly staff, thou I must admit have had one or two staff members in the past who weren't friendly and nice but that was a few months back now (one was a manager, which you wouldn't expect that)since then I think it's improved with there staff. Easy to find what your looking for.

My go to shopping place. Pretty standard Pak'nSave, they recently got their meat section redone which looks great.

Finding the store was easy by car park signage. Car parking was very easy with trolleys well replenished and accessible. Entrance very clean and tidy. Shelves were full and displayed really well. Walking around the store I found what I needed intuitively. Staff were very good with my queries and going through the checkout very polite.

Pretty good, never had any issues and the new scanning your own groceries is fun and also easy to do, you can see how much you have in your trolley at a glance. All in all pretty good unless you forget to scan something and then they have to scan your whole trolley. Certainly makes you concentrate.

A good supermarket to shop at if food costs are a concern. Well stocked (mostly) with a reasonable range of deli and specialty items. Easily accessible and clearly labelled aisles.

Not my usual grocery store but no complaints ,store well stocked and staff were quite nice.

Extremely busy and shopped with my brother who won't go elsewhere. As a visitor to your beautiful Town I found the whole experience worth it.

Outstanding range of fresh fruit & veggies. Frozen NZ Salmon tails exceptionally low price @$24 kg. Wine specials excellent. Staff helpful. Young lady at butchery excelled in customer service. THANK YOU🌹

There ads are always the best on tv, there prices are normally great although they are going up and its big and a go to supermarket.

Reasonably decent in-store range. Very few “bargains” as such or reduced to clear items. Prices are fairly steep but overall a pleasant shopping experience and very handy to the Richmond Mall

Busy place. I noticed the last few months that prices are not so sharp anymore as it used to be. Also a pattern concerning sales. First at another supermarket group and next week same products on sale at P&S. (Or vice versa).Sales are nearly the same in price and products. So is it still worth to drive over Takaka Hill to Richmond for groceries 🤔?

Needs to extend hours to 10 pm like other super markets .

Wow big variety of meat, bakery & everything else!!! and a nice big area around the checkout.... much better than our Gisborne shop.

Like Any supermarket chain. Best to avoid peak times of 4pm to 6pm as moving through the store can be a mission n just exhausting other than that it's attached to the mall so it's convenient for all in one shopping

More for the family shopper. I live alone and found most things packed for families. Especially meat. Nice wide isles though.

A great store. Good opening hours. Excellent parking. We found one staff member called Zoe to be extremely helpful and friendly. The delicatessen has a good range of ready to eat food. We will definitely shop there again.

Flying visit only. Soon found what i wanted then soon out via selfcheckout. BUT - the QR code by the entrance did not work, wasn't the right one apparently. Real one was far less visible. Ditch the Dummy one guys!

Great shop but can do so much better, the shop needs to be bird proofed and a better range of specials not so much of the wine and beer. This is not feeding families, honest pricing for cripes sake.

Always happy to purchase from here. Has an ubundance of staff always eager to help, so much more than any supermarket can offer and amazing prices. Seriously, any food item needed this is my go to if I am in the area cause of the major amounts of various items in store.

Good busy tidy store

I used the self-serve checkout. Before I had a chance to ask about 'single bun' purchase, a very helpful operator was by my side! Very good service.

A larger than normal Pak N Save with a great range. Also handy being attached to a Mall if you need more than a supermarket.

We get some good bargains here.

Excellent cheap bargains top quality meat

Wow what a massive place nice wide aisles plenty of room for mobility scooters and walkers to negotiate. The variety of goods blew me away, so much to choose from and low prices. PAK'n SAVE is in the Richmond Mall so plenty of parking and a massive food court as well what more could you ask for.

Big shop, reasonable prices, plenty of parking, entrance is easy and accessible. For $2 you can hire a kids cart trolley to keep the kids entertained as you do the shopping. Note to international shoppers: you will require your passport for proof of age when purchasing alcohol here.

Huge place - great selection, clean and tidy - good spacing between aisles

Great range of products standard to Pak n Save, some items I can find here that aren't at Countdown! The only thing that annoys me every time with Pak n Save is the placement of their product pricing, I always look at the price for the product on the shelf above, their layout doesn't feel intuitive.

Reasonable prices and a large selection of products. The packing of your own groceries doesn't really seem to have an impact on the overall cost of products. Note, take your own bags or be prepared to pay 5c per bag.

As this is not my usual paknsave find it hard to get my bearings takes longer to shop. Staff friendly love the shop go feature.

Going to Pack 'N' Save you get what you're promised, cheap prices. Things here are indeed cheaper than you'd get at its competitors but this comes with a cost. Unfortunately, this causes some, I repeat some not all, of its employees to be a bit lack luster. While others are perfectly fine you do get the one who looks like they'd rather be hanging from a tree than helping you with your shop. In the end though, this is understandable since I'm there for a bargain, not some 5 star service. Apart from that it's a big store with all the stuff one would need in it and a huge range of products

Pak n save best part is now the self scanners but remember you must have card only!! Good specials still cheapest place to shop

Cheap nice place to shop around

Excellent grocery store. This one's quite large and had some good stuff, particularly in the bakery, meat and produce sections. Quick check out too.

Convenient, but the cost of fruit and veggies is much higher here, with far less variety, than some of the local markets around. Also, you need to pack your own grocery bags, pay 5c per bag of you haven't brought your own, and if you are not a permanent NZ resident then you need to bring your passport if you want to purchase alcohol. Not even your driver's licence will cut it

It's a supermarket. The one place we have to go to. It's good but it's a supermarket. We dont shop for specials or off a list and its local so not sure on prices. Has the the stuff we need. Just pick your times well as gets very busy.

I travelled from Stoke to pac n save where I normally shop despite having 2 supermarkets close by. I've noticed on many occasions there is no green labelled scrumpy apple cider on the shelf. One row only. I asked a young man worker there if he could please check out back for a carton for me. Well he never got back to me. After waiting several minutes I saw his come from the store room and head in the opposite direction. I chased him and asked well have you any apple cider. He said no and I said well thanks for telling me. Not. This is not the first time. Awaiting a reply. Thank you.

Pak'nSave usually has the best deals. Keep an eye out for their random sales such as a frugal Friday or thrifty Thursday and you can save a lot more than normal. Bring your own bags! Can be a slow checkout at peak times.

Great range. Best value. One or two checkout operators a bit rude. And pleas restock pink Homebrand feminine pads again!

up until recently i was forced to use countdown and new world. it's such a breath of fresh air to be able to finally use a pack n save and walk out the store with 30-40% more food based on the prices.

More choice here than at other Foodstuffs outlets in Nelson province. Some good pricing on local boutique wines, also good craft beer selection.

It is better than Pak'n'Save in Porirua, Wellington if that were ever a store challenge of theirs. In all, a nice tidy store.

This pack and save is pretty large so it has a wide variety of fresh produce and normal packet and can items. It also has a large frozen section and fridge part too.

The supermarket itself gets five stars. However, it only gets three because of the lotto shop inside. My mother sent me in to check her scratchy and her lotto ticket for her as she cant stand crouds. As I was waiting in line, the receptionist, a lady with gray hair and light blue shirt gave me the evils as she served the customer in front of me. When it was my turn, she asked for my ID. Keep in mind that I am TWENTY years old. She did not accept my ID. So, frustrated I went and got my 54 year old mother for proof. Then she refused to serve HER only because I was standing next to her. In the end we walked off, my mother extremely angry and me in tears. We went to the dairy across the road on Queen St and guess what? They served me. Without asking for ID. That woman ruined my day and made me feel like the curse of this planet. I will NEVER buy from that lotto shop agian. If that is how you treat your customers, good luck staying open.

I go there to buy my food, and find it is a lot cheaper than other stores.

It was busy but I managed to get in, find what I needed and get out without any trouble or fuss. Was a nice visit.

Pak nSave is a busy place. Car parks are at a premium so expect to find time to park. Shelves are well packed and items are easy to find. Staff are helpful.

Couldn't give top marks as no longer stock Delish brand apple pie filling. Pam's diced apple does not make a good apple pie.

An OK place to buy your groceries, not a wide range of brands or high quality products like you would find in its sister chain store NW but the shop itself had really helpful and smiling staff.

New Zealand owned and operated PaknSave is the pre eminent big supermarket chain with each store individually owned.My first choice when buying groceries is PaknSave.It does not matter to me which store as the format is standard throughout the country.

Prices here are very clearly significantly cheaper than a lot of other P & S's throughout the upper Nth Is in particular... how can that be?

The service is great, when level 2 started up again, there was immediate safety, I shop here mostly because the service and what I shop for is on shelves,

The bakery/deli sells the biggest, freshest and most tasty gourmet sandwiches I have ever eaten. And for only $6!
