I first heard about HelloFresh from a friend. I was a bit reluctant at first about using the service, because as a woman, well I should be a "master chef" lol, but with being a working parent, it is not always possible to dish up the best meals for my family. HelloFresh is my lifesaver. Every meal is delicious and so packed full of flavor. The recipes are so easy to follow, and when I am done, every meal looks like a masterpiece. In the beginning it was the highlight of the week receiving the boxes and unpacking the treasures inside. We made some delicious meals and it was fun sharing the cooking with the children. Unfortunately our recent experience has not been great. The prosciutto chicken and risotto came with an extra charge which was not noted on the payment details when I chose the menu. The credit on my account was swallowed up by this apparently gourmet meal. It was far from gourmet and I was so disappointed with the result after 2 hours of prepping and cooking that I couldn't eat it. Risotto is not oven baked, it's a process on the stove. The ingredients did not warrant any additional charges. The parmesan cheese should have been flakes like the picture, not grated. The salad greens were labeled with rocket but had none. The other dishes that are mainly rice and chicken based are cheaper for me to purchase from the shop... Sorry, I am just so deflated. Some of the meals however really are beautiful and I will be hopeful for more.

HelloFresh is the best option for great food ideas and when you have very little time to cook . I was chosing the dishes with my husband and having them for dinner was great . I also learned alot of cooking hacks from them and totally loved it . Would recommend 100% It is a little pricey but worth the money and saves you from alot of food waste .

Got my first box and was surprised with how easy it was to follow the recipes and the portion size was great, with one meal lasting until the next day. I was always full and satisfied after each meal. I'm always a fussy eater when it came to trying out new meals and had my doubts before ordering, but was definitely worth it. Hello Fresh provides great and easy recipes. The recipes are very easy to follow and takes off the problem of thinking of what to eat that night. It is well balanced- it has a healthy amount of protein, carbohydrates, vegetables, and fats. Very easy to skip and unskip weeks, as well. Only concern I have is the amount of packaging the food items come in Hopefully, they could find a way to reduce this.

A taste treat with most meals exceeding expectations. Some of the chicken meals are somewhat similar but all selections that come with exotic sauces are stunning. Now that winter is here perhaps a couple of casserole choices could be included with more vegetables and less salads. Hello Fresh makes everyone a Michelin Star chef!

We are new to HelloFresh. We were dubious as we watched other families take on HelloFresh or other providers. With a chef in the house, and a joy of cooking we felt we were fine without. But in a busy working home, especially during these pandemic times - we decided to give it a go. HelloFresh comes by NZPost and is perfectly packaged. Cold stuff in its cooler bag with icepaks. And the meals packed and colour coded to the recipe card. The recipes are easy to follow. There are some variations, but it is well explained. The meals have all been delicious, restaurant quality. And it has created a lot more interaction with the whanau in the house, helping out or taking turns. The flavours beat our boring staple meat and 3 veg we would end up throwing together in a hurry! The meals are great value, and I have a few less visits to the supermarket. I wish we had joined sooner!

Ordered Hello Fresh initially due to a promo, worked out well as got diagnosed with covid the week of delivery so was a life saver. The meals were all great, had to add vegetables to a couple as there wasn't enough but always plenty of meat. Recipes were all easy to follow, even my non cooking husband did a couple. Did find that by the end of the week some of the greens got a little sad and did have to throw out a salad last Friday as it had gone a bit slimy. Would recommend as well worth it, will use again if I have a busy week at work as the stress of thinking about what to have for tea is gone. Has made me more aware of planning my meals.

Love the selection of meals with this subscription food company. Most of the ingredients are nice & fresh. Their spice blends are a signature of many of their meals. Some of the meat/chicken I've had has been a bit sinewy and one meal used "deconstructed chicken leg meat". Personally for a chicken done in sauce or spices, I would only use breast or tenderloins. The meal tasted amazing, it was the chewy bits put me off. Also, I am a Celiac so am taking a bit of a risk with some of the spices etc. I can check all ingredients online, although for a celiac/wheat allergy customer, some of the labelling makes it a challenge. However, for non allergy eaters, the range is awesome. Hubby loves it too. So easy peasy to do. I just wish there were more GF choices.

The recipes are fairly good but unpredictable. Sometimes you have a meal for two with salad for 6 and sometimes it's a micro-salad. Produce is consistently rotten or damaged, so you do need to keep a stock of your own salad ingredients. Ditto potatoes, as often they skimp. Sometimes they just leave out whole ingredients. They'll give you a refund, but it's pointless because your meals have already been screwed up and you get HelloFresh because you don't have time to plan meals, they don't just send you the missing ingredient. HelloFresh is easy and well-priced but it's a tradeoff of fresh ingredients. Ironic given the name. So many turnips, no one eats turnips, stop with the turnips. Edit: Dessert packs are great to have in the cupboard, the brownies are very good.

I like the choice of and variety of meals that Hello Fresh offers and the convenience that the ingredients (apart from the meat) for each meal is in one bag. There is no wastage of food. The one criticism would be the inconsistency , at times of the quality and size of the vegetables.

I think that the meals are slightly bigger, the meat is nicer and is not full of excess water, which makes cooking the meat easier and a lot nicer. Am on week three with HelloFresh and hubby and we love it. We like that there are a good range of meals to choose - if we want to have some with meat and some with vege and even vegan. There is also the option to change the protein with some meals. Also love that I can also choose a bag of fruit, breakfast, ready made meals, breads, drinks, sweets and desserts. The cost is really good too... OH and the meal kits come in separate paper bags so I know that the recipe is in the bag with the grey dot and I just have to grab the protein and go.

I love the quality meals we get from Hello Fresh and the convenience of it being delivered and packed in their own bags. There are no longer arguments about "whats for dinner" in our household as everyone knows every meal will be delicious. The portion sizing is abit concerning though and I have to bulk some of the meals to ensure everyone is full. But HF will still always be our preference!

In my opinion Hello fresh is great value. Not that you can't make a similar meal for cheaper but that you don't need to go shopping for ingredients let alone worry about what extras like herbs, spices and sauces you might need for the meals. So many options and such convenience. Personally this stops me from feeding my family takeaway food more often than I'd like to admit. We go on and off Hello Fresh depending on budget but that works well for us.

I really enjoy Hello Fresh meals. The meat is top quality (much nicer than what I buy from the supermarket) and the ingredients are fresh. The meals are delicious and their sauces and spices are so good that I wish I could buy them separately. My favourite meals are the Moroccan dishes with chermoula spice, always a winner. Delivery is always on time and the customer service is excellent. Hang on to the recipe cards as you'll definitely want to make them again.

Especially when I am tired after work, I don't have to think menu etc. Also everything is portioned, so there is no waste of ingredients. This is a tricky one to rate. I mean, the variety of recipes is pretty good (though if you do anything long enough it does start to get a bit samey after a while). The portion sizes are mostly pretty good, but every week it seems like one or two meals don't quite fulfil the portion sizes they're supposed to. Quality wise, we haven't had issues with Hello Fresh like we have had with their competitors (broken packaging leading to food waste, rotting veges, etc.) Customer service wise, they're pretty responsive, although it was disappointing to be told one thing and the reality be something else - I.e. you'll get a reward in your next box, then nothing shows up - and their response being to apply a measly credit when you'd rather the thing you were supposed to get. And the app. If you skip a couple of weeks, and then want to change your upcoming box details, it repeatedly errors, locking you into something you might not want. Which is frustrating. And then lastly, there's the price. It can be tricky to justify, and thats something you'll have to decide yourself. Is the price of not having to figure out your own menu and doing a grocery shop - which you'll still have to do anyway, along with actually cooking the food - worth it?

we enjoy not haveing to do the shopping, having a bag of all the ingredigents, no left overs! the packets for two persons are sometimes quite small and we have to supplement with more veg . the veg has been on occasion a bit tired and we have replaced . in summer when veg is cheap it is not good value for money

Love the meals. Enjoy having a different meal every night and the flavors 😋. The only hard thing is which one should I have tonight we get a four meal deal and we have them during the week . So get home from work choose a recipe get the bag out of the fridge cook it up no food waste which I love cause before we were wasting so much food. Main issue is freshness of meat and produce. They're always short date. 2 orders ago I had to buy fresh salad as almost all the salads were old and smells bad. But probably do enjoy the different recipes. Curry's are always good. But find that generally 2-3 days after the delivery veges are already going off. Mushrooms arrived already brown. Positive is meals are tasty and Was good for encouraging teens to cook meals...

Would have given 4.5 stars if i could. I've been ordering HF for maybe 12-18 months now and it's been great. Much less food wastage and a great range of recipes to choose from each week. Definitely more expensive than the supermarket equivalent amount of food, but worth it given we get a variety of meals. The recipes are nice although after a while are a little bit repetitive. Despite living on an island the recipe selection including fish is almost non-existent (once or twice monthly and only salmon).

Menu choices are good, and the convenience factor is excellent, but some of the ingredients have seen better days when they arrive at our front door (tomatoes and carrots especially). Packing the items could also be better as any salad ingredients are crushed almost beyond use more often than not. Overall it's ok but could be a lot better.

We've been getting HelloFresh boxes for 2-3 years now. We were very stocked with the quality and the value in the beginning but over time, it seems that the sizes of the portions shrunk and there are less and less ingredients in each recipe/package. The quality however is still good (every second box or so, I may come across a couple of items that are gone off like the salad or garlic) and although the price is not a value deal anymore, it is still quite reasonable considering the time it saves in buying groceries and planning meals, etc. The variety of food options has improved over the years too.. My most favourite ingredient in Hellofresh recipes are the spices!!! I'd buy the spices if I could find them somewhere for sale to have in my kitchen!!!

Really enjoying Hellofresh, it's getting us through a rough cooking stage while I'm very pregnant. My husband is fine with cooking but he doesn't like coming up with meal ideas - so having a meal service is great for us right now. We did use MFB for a while about a year ago and comparing both, we prefer HelloFresh recipes. Not as good as my usual cooking because the meals can get a bit samey, and some of them are a bit bland which is why I'm only giving 4 stars. But for us right now, it's making life a lot easier by having one less thing to think about.

I have been cooking Hello Fresh meals for a month and I love them. There is a large and varied choice of selections on the menu and you can cater for 2 people or families. The delivery is weekly with all ingredients packaged separately for your dinner ... with all the sauces (which are yummy) and fresh produce included. Meat, poultry and fish are vacuum-packed and have top quality tender cuts every time. Preparation and cooking instructions are included and easy to follow to plate-up meals fit for a King ... or Queen. My grandchildren aged 11 and 12 assist in cooking dinner as they also get Hello Fresh delivered, and their skills and palates have expanded to savour cuisine from Asia and beyond. I don't have to worry about what's for dinner, it is sorted! Quality tasty meals ready to go... competitively priced without worrying about crowds or Covid! A Christmas Dinner is also being promoted for tantalising and festive fare ... I would recommend Hello Fresh to anyone ... give them a try, the family will think you are hiding a Masterchef in your pantry! You won't regret it and you won't want to stop!!!! 5 stars ... if there were more I would give more ....

Really tasty meals. Awesome variety to pick from. Getting the teenager in the house to follow the recipe and get the meal cooked is great. I'm finding I'm not going to the supermarket as often to pick up the bits I need to make a meal and buy other things while I'm there. So convenient.

I was surprised to get a txt on a Sunday recently to say my delivery would be made within a stated timeframe when I hadn't realized I'd ordered it!!! I checked my bank statement and found a debit there. I had gone onto the website to check it out, I had tried them a long time ago. I still don't know how it happened, I didn't have to put the card security number in. I was annoyed to say the least. I needed to cancel any other orders but to do that I had to download an app!!! I must say that we did enjoy the meals, just not the process.

Had my first box of HelloFresh and it was a God sent as my husband injured his leg recently and cannot help around the house. It was so good to have the pre-planned meals to minimise workload. Meals were delicious, healthy and generous portions! Thanks HelloFresh!

Started of fabulous but the last 2 boxes the fruit and veggies where not fresh. And tomatoes looks like it was frozen. Broccoli was limp and plums and peaches squashed.

We have been receiving Hello Fresh since just before the lockdown. LOVE the Fresh veggies. For me the portions were fine but we are a family with 21 year old son who has a large appetite so had to add in a few extra's on occassion but for the most part, the meals are varied and DELICIOUS and soooo easy. Everyone in the family takes turns cooking and there are no excuses because they love it. Our 13 year old chose from a variety of dishes and admitted that it is easy and fun when you are guided in the initial stages and now she loves dabbling. Apologies but I don't always take photos of all the meals so attached are jsut a few. We use Hello Fresh in the week and cook other meals on the week ends. LOVE the convenience and freshness. I used to love hello fresh a couple of years ago and thought I'd start back up again. Last box the ingredients were starting to brown and it smelt of old cabbage when I opened my fridge. Second box I got today had blood all over one of the bags and maggot eggs. Cancelling my order now.

Really loving the quality and freshness of the food in these boxes. The recipes are not time consuming and delicious for busy people. I love the flexibility to put a temporary hold on orders when needed for those weeks we might be away.

Hello Fresh. Hoisin Pork & Mushroom Rice Bowl. Really loved the flavours of this dish. If you don't like the chilli I advise don't use in this dish. Hubby felt it a bit hot, but still enjoyed the Beautiful flavours. Took me around 50 minutes, from start till finish. Generous portion size. Meals for two. Can't wait for tomorrow night.

The greatest thing is the decision/menu has already been decided and its just a case of assembling. The instructions are clear and the ingredients are usually good. A large number of meals are "meat, potatoes and veg". I tend to choose meals that have ingredients i dont normally choose. Cost is little expensive but the convenience saves us time. We choose a couple of weeks, skip a week or 2 then order again. Really handy

I was a bit worried about getting hello fresh as my family of 3 adults are big eaters and imagined it would be a lot of rabbit food and healthy tasteless food. I chose a plan for a family of 4 just incase and we actually have left overs. As I am working long hours I rarely have the energy to cook so the choices were unhealthy fast food. I now feel like I eat at a restaurant every night the recipes are quick and easy my young adults have no trouble putting them together and feel like chefs!

We found the meals were a new experience for us as a "mature" couple. They were tasty and enjoyable but I am a type 2 diabetic and need to watch the carbohydrates in my food. Delicious, healthy food, really easy and fun recipes, and reasonably priced. I personally didn't like the amount of sugar in some recipes, and definitely didn't like the amount of plastic used in packaging. I would still recommend it though!

We are really enjoying Hello Fresh. When we get the box, I open all the bags up, match the recipe page with the bag. Go through it all and add the condiments, proteins etc to the bag. Put the recipe in the bag as well and roll it up and stack them in the fridge. I randomly pick a bag out in the evening, don't know what we're having until I open it up, and start cooking, knowing that everything I need is in the bag. It makes it a surprise for me, the cook.

Love the convenience of Hello Fresh. However, fresh is not always the case and the quality of the fresh products seem to be getting worse. Also, after using this service for six months, the recipes are getting repetitive - slight changes in flavours, but not in the types of meals. Plus minimal fish offered - only salmon occasionally.
