B.Amazing selection of foods & options, staff are absolutely fantastic, Along with other people I know I have only had issues with one very rude staff member who has bleach blonde hair and is a supervisor. Apart from this issue everything is fantastic.
S.I rang the New World Rolleston and asked to speak to someone in the bakery.
I spoke to a lovely lady called Janine who was extremely helpful. We live in Whangarei and are coming down in March for a combined 40/ 70 birthday party. I rang to enquire about birthday cakes as we would not to be able to bring them down. Janine was so friendly and helpful. Thankyou Janine for your help.
L.Great choice of food, great store layout. Clean and tidy, there are always stocks on the well-organized supermarket shelves, and the staff are very polite.
B.Last weekend I popped into New World in Rolleston without a mask, had my wallet but no mask & you have to have them on these days. Well the desk kindly gave me one free of charge which was the beginning of a good shop.
Further along I came across a couple of stacks of some tinned chocolate biscuits & some chocolates with one price tag in front $5 so I grabbed some chocolates. At the checkout they wanted $10.60 but I stood my ground & argued the case & eventually the manager was called & he ruled in my favor, so I got another two more boxes of chocolates which I gave to the medics @ Pikora Ora.
You have to watch out what supermarkets & the like do, they might have expected me to have gone through the checkout & not to have queried the extra price well not this bloke. They put one price on the two stacks & came out the loosers to the tune of @ least $16.80! We are continually ripped off by supermarkets so it's up to the consumer to keep an eye out one way or another.
E.Love going to New world they have a fantastic range of craft beers also they stock a few different items that countdown doesn't stock.
P.It's my local supermarket, great baked goods & great service, staff are always friendly.
L.Well set out, very busy, staff seem a little stressed at times. Most shelves are stocked and are still supplying basics.
T.Very classy coffee. Great service recently by staff and the specially smiley Nikita. The scone and coffee deal delicious.
J.It's great. Lots to choose from as Christmas approaches. Nice tidy store with lots of stock.
S.Normally I give 5 stars. Reason for 4 stars is because lady at the lotto counter was unpleasant.

Z.Covid19 level 4 restriction saw protocol of security being introduction again. this time people follow the distancing to enter the premise. They scanned QR code, wore masks, followed the 2 meters queuing, sanitized their hand before entering. But once inside, it's no more worry about distancing. it's about what they needs or wants. It is VERY worrying. I don't know about you. But I quickly grabbed what I need and just go.

D.Tbh I never used to use New world, well up until the first lockdown is where it changed, countdown put their prices up and lost all their deals, so I tried out new world and iv never looked back, their prices actually cheaper than countdown, the staff are all friendly and have a smile on their faces, would recommend 100%

S.I made my first visit to New World, Rolleston yesterday. I was extremely impressed with the lovely presentation of the fruit and vegetable section - best I've come across in a Christchurch supermarket so far. The store was nice, clean and tidy with smaller isles than other supermarkets I normally frequent. However, the product selections were still really good. Self-service checkout customer service was friendly. The one thing that could be improved on is the display cabinet (which housed hams) in the centre of the walkway/isle at the rear of the store (parallel to the front of the store). Two customers blocked the isle (one on each side) with their trolleys while perusing the hams. They were totally oblivious to the chaos and annoyance they were causing to other customers wanting to pass by. It would be good if an improvement could be made to avoid this scenario occurring in future. Plan to visit again in the New Year.
B.Same as normal , but as good as any
C.Very friendly staff. Well stocked and good specials. Was great that they had Santa at Christmas. I shop there every week

M.If you wanna scope out some yummy mummy's then look no further then New World Rolly.
You got the active wear mum's, the 'Karen' mum's you know the ones with the bobs, the onesie mum's, the Toyota estima driving soccer mum's and the nose pointing to the sky I only have soy in my latte mum's.
Get amongst it, have a gander, who knows you may even get a quick hoon in the Rolly library carpark.
E.Great items and excellent variety, there are always excellent deals and the prices are great.
n.Great. No queues at 10 on Sunday morning.
Still better than the local Countdown. No queues.
B.Great New World, tidy and well stocked. Has everything you need. A little more expensive than other supermarkets

It’s competitor in Rolleston cannot compete with NW. Thanks for offering such a good GF section aswell - most appreciated.

J.I have been a loyal customer with them ever since they first opened here in rolleston . Excellent friendly service and always beautifully presented . At present they are under new management and I wish them all the very best .
S.Large well laid out supermarket with great variety... grocery items, meats, poultry, vegetables, bakery, delicatessen, hot foods (e.g. roast chicken) frozens, alcohol. Plenty of checkout operators available. Friendly service, comes with a smile which, of course, is reciprocated 😉
T.Great friendly check out staff and good selection of groceries. EV parking, along with enough ICE vehicle parking.

Like other supermarkets when buying roasts of beef its vacuumed packed and lately have found the meat here is full of fat and gristle. Disappointing and considering shopping elsewhere. The way its packed you cannot really tell what's it's like till you open it up.
Complaint is not a one off . Rubbish meat and expensive!

H.New world Rolleston is great the fruit and vege are always fresh buy a lettus it last a week unlike other supermarkets around. Meat selection is great only thing I would suggest is that they build a bigger store the size restricts how much they can support.
B.Great shop, just local people should change the habit of taking baskets home. While store person explaned that they lost 300 brand new baskets to my bewilderment as I couldn't find one, my hubby saw in carpark a guy putting it into his 4WD!?!

h.A supermarket that suffers from being provincial and therefore last on the list to get produce. Anything slightly ‘unusual’ (mascarpone, skyr yoghurt, cauliflower pizza bases) is consistently out of stock. For your basics it’s fine but expect to need to visit the city store if you’re not a meat and three veg type person.
