One of my fav supermarkets in rotorua. Always fresh and click and collect is a breeze, free if you spend over $50. In store modern and clean nice fresh baked good. Although you will find far cheaper meat at mad butcher. The mince here (countdown) is always greasy, even the premium mince.

Everytime without fail the new guy on checkouts Ryan is amazing! friendly ,funny and is perfect with every customer. I always leave smiling and find myself going to him every time he's on.

Don't do this online stuff usually! But the fella with red glasses in the scan your own area I think hi names ray , was awesome helped me with all my Kai coz I don't use the own check out thing . He was so friendly and funny as well as saying hi to everyone in that area. It's nice to be properly given good service and made to feel welcome. Kapai will be back.

Standard Countdown, range and prices. But I must give a special commendation of valour and fantastic service to the staff here - after a very unpleasant encounter with some very rude customers who were pushing and cutting the queue, the security guard and some check-out staff stepped in to help and made an upsetting experience manageable. Unprecedentedly splendid service! Special thanks to those team members who did countdown proud. (Not that I ever thought I'd be singing praises to supermarket staff!!)

All Countdowns are good for some things and not other things. Depending on your needs at the time. A convienient store for us. Always clean and tidy with pleasant staff.

Large store, good selection and the best bit is a well organized pickup for online orders. Every time I have done an online order I have had no wait for the pickup. Countdown Fenton please take note (5-10 minute pickups get old real fast!).

Less massive than its central town counterpart, this allows a quicker shop if you want. The traffic lights make it convenient to either side of the road, and lots of good parking. Not quite the range (nor storage capacity), but most everything is there.

Absolutely fantastic selection here! Found some items I havent been able to find in any other countdown for ages. Every time I visit it's busy but they always have plenty of checkouts open and it's always well stocked.

I think the staff are doing a wonderful job under these tiring circumstances. But when you have to queue out front and go inside for staff and customers to grab food off the shelf in front of you no social distancing you are making a joke of this situation. Then on Monday as I was at the checkout two ladies were chatting to each other and blocking the way for other shoppers. When I said something to the cashier she acted ignorant to it. I will not be back at Level three and will stay at the four square.

Impersonal, made to wait in queue which is fine, but annoyed when someone (tall man) approached the guard, had a word and was allowed in. I had been told that there were a "lot of people at checkouts" so had to wait, eventually 3 people came out and I was allowed in as were two other people behind me?? Some discrimination at work here!

I haven't been to this countdown in a long time and it looked like they were short staffed. While walking around there was pasta all over the floor. Overall the experience was fine, the lady at the self check out was really really nice. Sorry I didn't get her name

One of the many Branches of Countdown located in New Zealand, it's a one in Fairy Springs. The store is quite wide, so you would expect the same prices and range of goods anywhere else. Parking is wide, but the entrance is a bit difficult to enter due to the rushing traffic on the main road.

It's a newer Countdown. It has more self checkouts. There's a good range in the deli, including delicious sandwiches and heat & eat options. Have tried the Sushi Bar & it's ok. Parking is substantial. Have had no problems with staff.

The "go-to" supermarket in New Zealand. It seems like there is one on every block. This is a large and well stocked grocery store with long operating hours and plenty of parking. Good prices and selection.

Our "local" supermarket, or at least, the closest to home. Also the newest supermarket in Rotorua. Not the biggest but plenty of selection and being new, everything is clean and tidy and the trolleys are in great condition and don't want to wander of in a different direction or have wobbly wheels.

We were in this store for some shoping for the weekend when i was at my friends place in Nz. and I had chosen some Beers and wine to take home. Because the check out operaters were busy and i decided to use the self check out and tried. Because my stuffs were alcohol and machine said me to verify my identity and one women store person arrived to help me. I said the details and she asked me the Identity and i gave the Australian Driving license and she said this is not acceptable! As long as I know we can even drive vehicles, exchange money, open bank account and alot of things can be done by verifing Australian driving license. She asked me the passport, I don’t know why? Even most of the Australian doesn’t need passport and visa to travel New zeland and so on to Australia, what they do when they want to buy some alcohol like me? I hope this doesn’t happen to anybody else again, this might be an individual problem in some staff and their attitude. Thanks
