Safe and comfortable shopping controlling numbers by staffs at the entrance. Easy getting the organic produce at good price and more new products.

A truly wonderful experience. Staff and security are helpful, accommodating and most importantly they know where the stuff i need for the ingredients to create my infamous Mexican sandwiches, for my fam including this cute African Parrot who just loves eating a whole wrap of my Mexican sandwich 🥪 😋 🇲🇽

A pretty good place to go, however there was no one at the doors and people were just walking in without masks and without scanning in. A bit unsafe if you ask me.

Yesterday at Countdown walking thru, Lovely welcoming place set out nicely everything fruit veges is amazing clean and easy to find produce items, don't usually shop here, just one thing the lady at the counter wasn't so friendly which was a downside, but shopping there was great.

Not a bad place location is good, lots of parking, great ladies that always help out. Lotto shop there. Takeaways walking distance.

Countdowns are becoming my go to supermarket as you usually have all my favourites. Guy counting people in and out at the door was confusing, would let four people out and only one in?

Fesh food and good customer service could do with more checkouts operating but otherwise good supermarket

So happy to have shopped for Whittaker chocolates here to bring home as presents. The prices were lowered by 1 NZD in almost all Whittaker flavors.

Not crowded, good presentation of goods, vegetables, fruits, meats. Fresh goods selections nice, spacious settings. Pharmacy staff, friendly and helpful, very handy to shop in one store and pick up medication at the same time, great convenience. Good parking

Hadn't been in for ages. Completely redesigned now. Really nice supermarket now; easily the best in Rotorua. Massive fresh produce section with a lot of hard to find things. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll be driving the extra distance to shop there from now on.

Besides shopping bargains, I love the chemist department there because it's free for anyone to have prescriptions filled.

Love the new store layout and the new look, absolutely amazing atmosphere. However, I was disappointed to find that they are no longer consistently stocking certain products such as Kitten food etc. Also not sure what happened with the 'Quiet Hour' they have advertised on the door (Wednesday 2:30-3:30) as I was in there during that hour today and there was literally nothing different from the normal shopping experience. It's a shame as I usually shop there because of Quiet Hour.

Not much stock lately..... But great STAFF as usual

Love shopping here, it's spacious, can't stand cramped places. Even when it's busy there is alot of room. Sadly though, at 6-7pm on the evenings (when I go shopping) on many occasions they don't have common things that I always get, bananas, frozen blueberries, frozen cauli and broc. Since I eat those things everyday it leaves a big hole in my shopping list. The shelves seem to get stripped by the online shoppers. pretty much every time go there im looking for boxes on the top shelves to get stock from. My young fulla Jokes we should just work there - in some ways we already have to.

An okay countdown but could be nicer. It is very spacious inside . The car park seemed a bit of an odd layout.

A good selection of vegan yoghurt and other vegan options. Unfortunately fresh meat and fish is still very plastic. A weak part of their offering

I really enjoyed shopping at countdown security was great and social distancing was excellent, I recommend this store to friends and family.

Recently upgraded store and while the aisles aren't as wide as before, they've added a pharmacy and wine section with the space they've claimed. Friendly staff, great range. All you could want or need.

Need better people a bit slow comunicating

I like the new store layout with the makeover but seriously guys please sort your online order pickups? Waiting 5-10 minutes for someone to be found to bring out my order - not just the once but the last 3 pickups! - gets old fast. If countdown fairy springs can do it right I am sure you can!

I have shopped at Countdown for many years. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is excellent, the shelves are well stocked and the fresh veges and fruit is very well displayed and inviting. Very clean shop with wide aisles and groceries easily accessible - 10/10 👍.

Great location amazing onsite free pharmacy countdown needs 2 manage there staff better almost everyday I hear friends and friends of friends mention how countdowns shelf's of chips (for example) were empty and when looking 4 a staff member to assist there were groups of staff dawdling around talking n groups laughing ignoring customers pleas for help.

Well controlled lockdown process. Small wait to get but all good.

By using the Countdown app for shopping it is a breeze to get around. My only complaint seems to be many items I want to buy are on the very bottom shelf and at my age it's not easy to get down there let alone getting up again.

I love countdown Rotorua. Easy access and parking. Great stock choice big roomy isles. Love the salads, raw vege noodles, ready to eat . Quick service. Gold card discount on Tuesdays!!

Good place to shop nice clean store..most staff are great...but some really need to brush up on the customer service...had one just throw my shopping in trolley today which wasn't great and wen I told her off she just looked at me and walked away...shame on her

The workers here were very friendly and helpful, and prices of things here weren't too bad or expensive. Easy to find most anything you set out to purchase, and the store is clean and in an orderly fashion. Nothing bad to say about this place.

Have good product, great wine beer specials. More expensive than Pak & Save though for every day things.

Cant praise these guys enough...so very kind after having our car hijacked by a shoplifter tonight..offered us a cuppa and wouldnt let us pay for our goodies...thank you countdown

Got what I wanted, two different types of lens cleaner wipes, one for spectacles and the other for phones and screens as well as specs. The staff member I asked to help me find them knew what I wanted and took me straight to them.

oh i love the wine collection here.. massive selection and enormous.. the staff here also very much friendly, they take real good efforts to keep here tidy and well stocked.. in my 2 years experience, ive never been any bit disappointed about the Big Countdown Rotorua.. impressive hospitality. word.

Love their freshly baked bread @ $2.99 p/loaf or buy 2 for $5 and of course my hair colour is not natural :( but good old countdown is the only place that sells my choice of colour..trust me I've looked.

Countdown for or your needs this amazing supermarket. Has all from bread,soft drink, butter. Everything you Need, when u won't alcohol yes this the place "cheaper then going too a bottle store so yes pop in This the Now, make this work. Make this happen.

Huge shop with very friendly staff. Supergold card discount of 5% of your total spend as long as you spend $40 Or more. The produce is fresh and there is a really good selection of grocery items. The car park is massive so there is always plenty of parking. If you need petrol, Mobil Reid and Mills is right next door with a very good carwash. Countdown is popular with tourists too as it is located on the main motel street

I could be wrong, but this Countdown seems to be the biggest of all the Countdown Supermarkets here. I like it because it's the least busiest for me to shop in. The aisle seem wider too. I love the produce dept. Always looks good. There's ample parking with a number of convenient exits, being on a corner site. It's also in very close proximity to gas, liquor, butchery, florist and takeaway shops; as well as flipout and playtopia.

Never had to pack my own groceries before till this morning bit annoying otherwise the service is perfect

Countdown in my opinion is the best supermarket in New Zealand well priced goods and a huge variation in comparison to other businesses and the corparate level does listen they got in some buffalo sauce for me!! Your welcome!

One of the better supermarkets in town. Aisles laid out Well, is clean, light and organised. Has everything you could need. Helpful staff also and signs easy to follow.

The workers in here are always friendly and proactive when assistance may be required. The fresh fruit and veges are exactly that, and quite the choice, and as we only use New Zealand grown, we do use the labels to this advantage.

Absolutely huge Countdown store where you could probably find whatever you wanted. It's a bit overwhelming in general and perhaps not as nicely laid out as New World, but it is a lot cheaper overall, well worth shopping here if you're on a budget. Plenty of car parking also.

Hello, I am French, and when I came to New Zealand where two of my children live for more than 7 and 4 years, I stayed in Rotorua from December 12 to 16, 2018, with my grandson Paul. Once, when paying for my purchases with my CB, it has not worked despite several tests. Paul's mom, by phone, solved the problem, but for a while, the client who was following me paid the $ 25 of my bill, wishing me Merry Christmas. I was at the same time bored, surprised, grateful, thanked her. I wanted to know her name to give her back, but she was already gone. Nice big supermarket. Huge carpark. Fair range of products but not so good on the fresh fish side. Some gluten free products.

Flowers were gorgeous but.. licorice all sorts were so old they were inedible. Travelling through, so not going back for a refund. Someone needs to check the actual product sometime.

Clean, spaceous, good variety, in store bakery, self checkout. Sufficient parking. Nothing extraordinary. What you expect from supermarkets under this banner. Not the cheapest around.

Your standard Countdown Supermarket gets busy during peak times but always well stocked shelves.

The service is excellent and good bargins. The only thing I hate is the public toilet absolutely disgusting dlack toilet bowl and smells

This is our chosen shop for early morning supermarket shopping while most people are still sleeping. This helps my wife get to her job in time.

Shop really dark since it got painted -

They seem to struggle to keep their shelves fully stocked not always a good selection of products

They had what I wanted, which was organic non homogenized A2 milk from a PKE free Jersey cow herd

Countdown in NZ is a part of Woolworths the stores are big and there is a number of them everywhere.
